Woodston Folding

Just to confirmed Woodston have folded with 6 games remaining, it has been a struggle from the start this year and although we had many players signed on most of them wouldnt play for whatever reason!

My regulars were committed through and through but you can not play games with only 8 players a week and in the end even they knew it was time for a break!!

It is gutting but when things dont work they it best to stop and not struggle!!

Hi Damon, gutted for you because I know how much work you have put in to try and keep the club afloat, feel a little guilty because I am one of those who signed for you at the start of the season although I did say I would only play when time permitted and unfortunately it wasn't possible.
You shouldn't have to rely on a forty year old, overweight, unfit old man anyway!! but I think you have been badly let down by your younger crew who think nothing of going out on a Saturday night and not turning up without letting you know, I would have thought they would have had the decency to at least finish the final few games and save the obvious fines that will be coming your way.

As i said to you i had read your post just not had chance to reply.
Its a great shame when any team folds because all they become is a memory but im sure you and the lads that didnt let you down will have loads to look back on and smile about.

i did hear all the rumours a few weeks ago about the possibility of the club folding, but i suppose when you have that many people who let you down there was only going to be one option. anyway you're a better ref than a manager mate after the spanking we give ya earlier in the season and i was'nt playing! lol
