I think it will still be 2 up 2 down as with the inclusion of Holbeach Reserves this season, means that there is an odd number of teams in the league. Therefore, I can't imagine the league replacing Perkins Res.
Also, i think it would be a trvesty if a 3rd place team should get promoted in such small leagues.

Well maybe a team from Comb 2 dropped out so there was a need to make it an even number!!!!!!!!!!!
Dicky, maybe it would be best to concentrate on winning your remaining games and getting a top 2 spot rather than clutching at them very thin straws !!!!!!!!!!
i think one of the new teams entering the league will also be entering a reserve side. i would have thought that common sense would tell you they would start in combi 3 so who knows how that will be balanced out.

i thought on here i saw a debate going on about what teams should go up to the prem when perkins leave but carnt seam to find it, surely the team who wins div 1 will go up maybe not relegate a team then its sorted but if a team does go down then it will have to go to the nxt qualifying team.i no there was a little bit of banter going on about pot hunters, at the start of the season i was dropped from the first team due to them bringing in new players which happens and at first i looked at leaving whittlesey to try to continue playing in the prem. after having a chat with the reserve managment i was persuaded to stay and how much am i enjoying it this season, yes im sure that a few will step back up nxt year but at present we havent been needed so play for whittlesey and if that means resies then the resies it is. im sure that the youngsters will improve by having a bit of experience in the side(old git really) but that doesnt make us pot hunters just enjoy playing for the town and managment.
good effort mate.
im going to be gutted to see Perkins go out the league, im just so glad they have done it in style.
some of the players i have played with at that club over the last 5-6 years deserved a trophy and i especially have my fingers crossed for michael dudley and nipper who have been at the club since i can remember.
im intreagued to know just how the leagues will balance out, FEEL FREE TO PUT EYE IN THE PREM :D WE WOULDNT MIND AT ALL.

Harbs, you are not as gutted as me! It will be a fitting end if Alex can guide his troops over the line for the league and hopefully they can also get through to the cup final! He has been excellent ever since he's been at the club. I'm just wondering whats going to happen to my 'youthful' team (well Renzo has never grown up, has he!)
Hope you go on to win the league, not only for you, but also for Gino (who was another who served Perkins so well!) Good luck mate!
apologies mate, i totally neglected the reserves in my comments also.
its a Sad end to such a well known club in the city, it will be a sad day when the last ball is kicked for Perkins.
one hell of a benefit from which ever clubs get their players as the reserves and 1st have some amazing talent.
i hope you too finish off in style Kenny.
I's also like to say i really enjoyed the games i played under you for the ressies i hope you look to take the reins somewhere else yourself also.
best wishes.

No need to apologise Harbs, and yes it will be a sad day, although we have plans to make it a day for all present and ex perkins players / officials to remember, and i'll update you when the plans are finalised (think you might be a little too young to star for the veterans?)
I just want us to finish with a smile on our faces. We had 2 tremendous years before this one and although it looks like it could be difficult, it would be great to finish as runners up to an exceptional Whittlesey side.
It says so much about the character of Perkins as a club that many players, just like yourself were only too happy to come and play for the ressies and i thank you all for that (apart from andy bradley and his penalty miss last season lol!)
I, along with my good friend Alan, will look to take the reins somewhere next season (if anybody will have us?)
Best Wishes to you and make sure you win today!

yeah it will be strange nxt year with no perkins, it would be great if the league could arrange it that we play perkins last game of the season. as im sure that there would be loads down there vto see there fair well and it would be a good game for them to finish with but dont think it would happen.sure there will be an opening for all the managment at perkins somewhere nxt season.
i would love to play for the vets. 25 is surely the right end of the stick when it comes to football careers? not to mention this season is my first year in adult football outside of Perkins so i reckon u could make an acception.
we went and won yesterday got the promotion spot we needed now we really want the league title. may have had a few too many last night :-/
speak to you soon mate.
