The only payback you'll be getting Sunday is the pint I owe you mate....
We're going for the double over ya!
I think we should have a little side-bet on the result mate???
just the bet of pint per goal is fine with me sean, all at scarletts know we owe you boys one and think we will win. if shaq and lee deane are on form i feel sorry for raph and your boys at the back. them 2 have been playing quality together. should be interesting.

Both Shaq and Lee played in the 1st game against our 2nd choice defence and we still beat ya mate, plus we lost our keeper 2nd half through injury in that game.
A pint per goal is good with me although I'll have to bank my winnings as I'll be driving so cant really be drinking 4 or 5 pints can I.....
Should be a good game, we've faced Limetree twice, JNE, Racing 252 and Royal Mail in our last 5 games so I should think our lads will be ready.
not many prem games this week?
yeah but sean how many of them have you won? a little bit of doubt may creep in.we are coming into it after beating new shoes 4 nil and fratellis 1 il. it should of been more against new shoe though. shaq and lee did play in the first game but they have got a lot better since playing for the same sat team.i will be driving sunday as well mate so best you come down the bluebell one night and pay up!should be a good game anyway mate

well 2-1 loss to racing and 2-0 loss to JNE was no disgrace, we drew 2-2 with Mail but they were calling for the final whistle so that tells you who deserved 3 points there and then one of the LT games you watched and as you said we were well unlucky not to get something....
Looks like we're both in form then, should make for a good game..
mate let Starks know that we'll be in our Grey kit with red trim... let me know if thats cool yeah? cheers mate.
we'll be in the usual all red mate.

it should hide your red face when I come on and 'MEG' you in the last 10, then mate!!! see ya Sunday

Both come to the Bluebell when my band play there in a few weeks!
That is a non football related comment Scouse and therefore I am giving you a yellow card. You big queen.
Scouse Mouse
29-02-2008, 12:40
It is football related. Venue suggestion for a football related meeting.
Yellow card is harsh, and you dished that one out quicker than you are shown them on Sunday mornings! I believe you save the red ones for a Saturday ;-)
I am hurt by your comments Ian. Truly hurt. If anybody wants to see a good band play tonight . . . then switch on VH1 . . . alternatively local band SUMO are playing at the Solstice tonight as well. There's ya plug Scouse.

O'Neills actually, but thanks for the mention!
does that mean you get a free band playing at the end of season do then raph beings you have a band member in the team?
So what were the scores today?
Back of the Net
02-03-2008, 19:31
well we beat Scarletts 5-3 and it should have been a lot more, we missed a hatfull 2nd half, saying that, Starks lads went down to 10 men (i think!) when Dalts went off injured 45 mins, but to be fair we had it in the bag as soon as Richie lost his cool and started moaning - the bet got to him hahahaha.....
anyway lads what other scores are about?? Mail, LT, Deeping, Prem etc??
BLUE BOYS
02-03-2008, 20:34
come on shaun lets try n get it right, we was 2-0 up before we lost dalts and played nearly an hour with 10 men, fair play you beat us 5-3 and it was still a pretty close game. how many of these second half chances did you miss as apart from the 2 goals you did score the keeper hasnt made a save
Back of the Net
02-03-2008, 21:08
hahaha...mate we had chance after chance in the 2nd half, hit the bar and several just wide/over... yes you missed dalts and were 2 nil up but you had a good start with the wind at your backs, we settled when dalts was still playing and started to come back into the game, he went off and we bossed it (understanble) from there...
Good to see some of you back for a feed after though and Richie paying off his bet hahaha - picture to follow.
i was running line for mail against emap and not sure who the keeper was has he was not clver tho he didnt have much 2 do

mate that was our centre back in that game.... we've had 4 keepers this term,
1st one Starky for Scarletts wiped out when we beat em 5-4 away, tough tackle but it was a foul... usual keeper out... signed another lad who, errrrrrr wasnt great, then the centre back (ryan thanks mate) who wasnt bad against R Mail, then a proper keeper for scarletts (yes we signed him 4 weeks ago) who was solid...
Sunday footy - love it,
What was the other Sunday scores then lads?
Absolutely right Blue boys losing Dalts was pretty pivotal, but we did miss at least three clear chances in the second half, the finishes were that bad your keeper didn't have to make a save, I know because I had to fetch the ball.To be fair against 10 men we had a three goal advantage and should have completely killed the game off but we got cocky and your lads stopped arguing and began to play. You got a goal back from a free kick and it lifted you. Always expected it to be close. I have to say I feel for Starks, he deserves better than to be let down as he was today by lads that didn't show.I also think it may have been a lot closer if some of the Scarletts lads concentrated on playing football. P.S. for the second week in a row the wind also played a big part. Thanks for the game lads, thought the ref had a good one as well.(All my own opinion) P.P.S. when Raph and Mick Di learn to deal with the ball over the top they are going to be bloody good centre backs.

i will agree with that mick, the way shaun was messaging you would think that it was as though we couldnt get out of our own half and defending for our lives. of course against ten men and with the wind there was always going to be chances, also feel gutted for starky as a few let him and the players what turned up down aswell.

hahaha BB.... 'the way I messaging'?? losing team point of view?
Only 1 winner in that game as I said all along, if you boys lost players or had people missing it's nowt to do with us, we did well and got the double which was deserved in my book, 2nd half (albeit with you down 1 man) we ran riot and no doubt we were unlucky not to get a hatful - I felt for Starks and 1 or 2 others, but several of the more vocal Scarletts lads got nothing more than they deserved in my book...
We will deal with ball over the top by 2012 - it is in our next party political manifesto.
See attached photo of Richie buying Sean a pint, as-per-bet in our new home; The Windmill, after our game on Sunday!

hahaha quality, Richie had to borrow the money from Paddy to buy it aswell, god that pint tasted good - cheers mate!
Click on the thumbnail to enlarge the photo fully. Richie looks even better in HD! haha - Angela would be proud mate :o)
well gutted i missed the game but i unlike a few others i let starky know i was unavailable about 3 weeks ago(was busy getting into sunday afternoon county cup semi!).i also believe matt quy was unavailable too which is a big blow as he's been our staedy ever-present centre mid this season which would be a big blow for any team.
i believe there may be big changes at scarletts regarding the clubs infrastructure etc next season and they will definitely be for the better.
Pleased to hear it JB, Starks deserves better and should get more help, a big change in some of the players attitude both of and on the pitch would be a massive bonus to Starks.Matt wasn't there but don't think he was a late no-show. To be fair our ever present central midfielder Dean Manigan and our super quick wide man Karl Down were both missing through injury so we weren't exactly at full strength but we did have three subs.

i think myself and matt were the only people to give starkey plenty of notice. oh and BOTN scholesy is not a proper keeper

mate I'd hardly call myself a sub, I got 6 mins at the end and touched the ball 3 times, the 1st was funny as I blasted one high and wide to a great cheer from our lads - thanks boys!!!
Don't sell yourself short Sean, what about the deft flicked header that set up a goalscoring chance ? I'm pretty sure Starks would have settled for a sub of your quality on Sunday mate.
'The above message is just my own opinion'
deserved the win lads!sean be honest mate it was more than 45 mins with ten men. oh and sean think its a bit harsh you saying the more vocal lads got what they deserved, seem to remember the bloke in bright green boots for you going on in the refs ear and in my opinion getting shaq booked, bit out of order as it is sunday morning after all.and yes your right it isnt your fault we were understrength so well done on the win.oh and hannys a jammy sod!

Mate 2nd half and your tall centre back shouts at the ref to red card one of our lads as 'he's the last man' following a foul - dont recall you telling him to shut up as it's only Sunday morning footy??
I didn't hear what our lad said to Shaq/Ref (honestly I didn't) so can't comment, but from where I stood it was a straight yellow offence from Shaq and the dissent he showed after it wasn't good to watch, that wasn't our lads fault the ref booked him surely? Shaq also tried to go straight through one of our lads right in front of me, it was blatantly aimed at hurting our lad, thankfully no harm was done but the ref rightly pulled him up and had words, shortly after he booked him so he's only got himself to blame in my opinion.
We did endure some pretty bad insults throughout that game from 1 or 2 of your lads, they were just gutted at losing, but I cant help but think they got what they deserved in regards the result... I did say I felt for Starks and several others though so it's a balanced view there!
if one of our players said that then i disagree with that as well mate. also i spoke to hanny after tha tackle and he didnt even think it was a foul, was a hard tackle but the ball was one.anyway sure we can agree to disagree on that one.tell your small right winger he can ave my shirt if he wants as he did nearly rip it off my back haha.and before you say it yes that is why i gave him a hard tackle straight after it(and got a telling off for it).oh and just for the record YES I AM A SORE LOSER FOR ALL WHO ARE THINKING THAT. hahaha

hahaha, both Mick and I saw you go after Kev for a bit of payback, made us laugh as it wasn't really dirty just an obvious bit of payback for shirt pulling.
On a different note - I hope Dalts is ok? it was a bad tackle on him but it was just clumsy, no intent what so-ever, I hope he's ok!
as far as i know he is ok,was gutted when he went down as you dont see it often with him and never fakes an injury.with him on for the full 90 it may of been different but we will never know

Yeah we may have won by more but as you say we'll never know... cup 1/4 final for each of us next Sunday - good luck mate, maybe we'll meet in the Semi...
hopefully mate, then that would mean a div 1 team in the semi final.shows that we have some decent teams in our league.
I am glad that you two have kissed, made-up and will live happily ever after!
thought you had a decent game yesterday raph, and i totally agree with comment during the game about enjoying it and having a laugh, and not getting players booked!haha

shaun im going to be honest with you here as i come on here and have never spoken nonsense, im the tall centre half and at no point did i ask for a player to be sent off, there was lots of points in the game in my opinion were a card could of been used but was i shouting at every one, no the tackle on dalts was shocking late and over the top. kev was taken to have a chat with the ref at least 5 times in the game and ur foward in the flashy green boots was in the ear of the ref at every point possible, now i thought that you was an ok bloke but your comments on here have really pi ss ed me off over this game. every game i play i always go out to win in a fair manner as everybody has to work and there is enough fines thrown about without people getting more on top.
sean be honest mate he is telling the truth about flashy boot boy.didnt see the tackle properly so will not comment on that

I thought the game finished yesterday? Both sides had "their say" during the game and Nick reffed it well. Its probably best to let it go now and talk about something else before people start falling out, again!
Well it sounds like good fun was had by all, Congratulations to Sean, Mick b, raph and co.
As for Scarletts they do have some very hard working loyal lads and if things are goin to change next year I think it would be a good thing as Starky has put alot of work into that club and deserves all the help he can get.
Mr B you in the Volly tonight?

didnt know i was playing for emap:wink:
:)Blue Boys I had already worked out who you were from your Whittlesey posts. Unfortunately Scouse Mouse was right everyone and his dog had thier say DURING THE GAME which is what *****d me and Sean off. You would have to have been deaf not to have heard me and Sean telling all our lads including Kev and Mr. Vomit green boots that under no circumstances were Sean and I going to accept the schoolgirl bitching and whining and we would remove players if it continued. Full marks to our lads they responded perfectly by getting on with it and scoring two more goals, unfotunately Mick some of your lads didn't respond in the same way. I'm certainly not going to slag off any off our players or Scarletts players on this site but that reaction to sound advice was the main difference(apart from 10 men and the wind) in the second half. Lots of stupid things get said when people are pumped up but unfortunately it affects thier game.Just to put one thing right it was Sid who caught Alec and he could have easily had a yellow, anyone who knows Sid will tell you he's not dirty and was genuinely upset that Alec was hurt.In no way can anyone say it was a dirty game and the silliness just before half time from both sets of players was unwarranted and uneeded. I was pleased for Starks that his players finally got over it but in my opinon some of them took too long. This site is for banter and opinions and there is no disrespect for Scarletts from EMAP, Scouse Mouse is right no point in falling out games gone .For now we have bragging rights and no-one expects you to be happy with it. Ritchie it was so funny mate, both Sean and I knew what was coming when you chased Kev, I just didn't think you would catch him:) On a last note Starks and Ritchie see if you know who this is for(not you Mick):mabub:I hope you can still laugh lads all the best.
we were robbed 3 points and only got point out of game against powerleague, any one know the prem fix 4 next week

We heard a call from one of your lads, thought it was one of the centre backs aimed at the ref stating 'he's the last man - he's the last man' sorry if it weren't you Blue Boys, but we did hear that shout and it was of course aimed at putting the ref under pressure to send our man off - at time I thought nothing of it until Richie brought up the point about Ben (flashy boots) doing the same thing.... We spoke to Ben at half time along with all the others and it stopped from there on as we wont accept that within our club!
It was Sid that fouled Dalts but it was not intentional at all, it was a very similar incident that saw Starks foul our keeper in the 1st game at your place, Ads has not played since and wont do for the rest of the season, just a bad challange but certainly not intenional - I hope Dalts recovers a lot, lot quicker for his and Scarletts sake!
Games done now though and we do have bragging rights - for now.
I'm sure we'll meet again and hopefully it will be a friendly encounter that we can all enjoy, we dont wanna fall out over footy!!!

i agree that it was very much a 2 way thing with the bitching, i have never said that it wasnt and lets be honest was embarasing at times. im sure that it will all be forgotten be the time we meet again if that ever happens. and also knowing sid it would not be like him to do it intentionally
Cheers Blue Boys best of luck on Sunday mate and well done for Saturdays, hell of an achievement, maybe we'll meet in the semi's of the Hereward who knows?
