looks like psl are back to the dark ages again,
will they survive without Al as boss?
will they still be a psl team next season?
Al has stepped down as manager and it would seem that the players have no heart for the club. (not that sure they ever did have!).
the ex boss was lino yesterday but throw the towel in halfway thro the 1st half got in his car and went home.not sure why he did this?
would be a shame as the former brotherhoods team are the oldest pboro city (not village) football side, founded 1907.
no telegram from the queen then!
I am sure Al will be back you cannot keepa good man down and he loves his football.
It is around this time of the season that he tells the Et that they will be the power in the next season. Perhaps he went home to practice his speech or he realised he had left the gas cooker on
i've heard some people saying things along similar lines carefree. if the 1st team were to fold then the res's could step into their shoes and if the few players who deserve to stay do so then we'd have a team more than capable of holding our own. most of our players are good enough for prem "squads" but choose to stay with biffa in the res's(who for the record hasn't even been offered the managers job which is shocking when you look at the reserves over the last 2 years and only beaten once and top of the league at the mo!). i admit the res's aren't in the best of leagues but if it wasn't for the restructure we would be in div 2 challenging for promotion with coates again as we did last season.
just for the seddon boys we won 10-0 on saturday and played totally s**t so you have been warned!

Cheers JB for the vote of confidence, i have to agree tho we were very poor !!!!!!! it probably didnt help having a 30 yr old unit up front , but hey needs must .. 11 players only n all that ....
I would however like to mention the hospitality fron Ketton res fc was 2nd to NONE !!! make you feel welocme, manager having time to have a chat b4,during, and after the game , and to top it all off at H/T they provide you with warm cup of tea in proper polystyrene cups with lids !!
and great nosh afterwards!!!! fair play !!! :nwy:

i thought the current person in charge was only the caretaker boss which means, no manager has yet been accepted, has the job been advertised? maybe he should apply or maybe he already has?
Personally i hope we haven't seen the last of Al. The players have let him down this season. Many people thought they could win something this season...me for one! Browny ( CAREFREE!), you have always been a trier but some of the other players have had poor attitudes and should be concerned with what they have delivered for there manager.
Good luck to Al and PSL. I hope they get a top manager next season and Al stays as the club chairman or director of football, looking after the youth system there aswell as the senior staff.
totally agree about al and i personally hope he takes over again. in my opinion i think he's been far to lenient with the team and some of the players which has been his style and sometimes worked. we all know he has it in him to give you a good boll***ing and i feel thats the approach al or whoever takes over needs to use to get the best out of that team because on paper they're strong title contenders.
AL i'm sure you still read this site and i hope you take over again as i dont think your heart would be in another club anywhere near as much as it is with psl as you've put a lot of hard work in and assembled a good side who just havent performed for you.

Only £100 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats scandoulous ....
Well as long as you "TRY" harder than you did last time.Have you played them yet ?????
JB, if it wasn't for the restructure you would still be in Div 4 !!! Surely some of the 'Reserve Players' should take some responsibilty for any problems the first team are having, if you are as good as you say you are then you should have been making yourselves available to Al. Isn't that what the reserves are for ? Otherwise you could change your name to LSP and apply to be in Div 2 for the start of next season.
I agree Bif, what Ketton have done is excellent. Heard a few people complain about the state of the new pitch though. We had no complaints last season, they are a great bunch.
pitch at ketton is crap as you sink about a foot into it all over as it was far too soft. due to the attitude in the first team a lot of our players refuse to play for them and to be honest they hardly ever ask us for players. why should they anyway? the first team only have themselves to blame for their current situation and whilst i'm sad at whats happening with the first team why would we want to leave a really good title race to go and play for a team where half the players aren't that bothered on the outcome and get hammered most weeks by teams they should be beating-hardly surprising they dont get help from us is it? i played for the first team at the beginning of the season before our res's season got started and whilst the results were going our way the attitude, commitment and effort was second to none so it's a pity whats happened. for your information cafc we would've been promoted along with yourselves.why would we have gone down a league when we were in the 3rd div and finished in a promotion place? :stpd:

JB, it truly does worry us that you are in such electric form
:nwy:
lol, Thank you very much to chateris for providing the £100 (per person) win bonus. that will go along way towards paying General Lee's wages for feb. unless we find a personal sponsor for him, I fear we may have to release him from his contract next season which will be a shame.
Can't wait for Ketton on saturday if they have good grub aftrwoods!!!!

CAFC i think the pitch is in need of a rest from rain !!!!! It will be a good pitch eventually , but as JB said it was awfull....Tho its better than the other wonky pitch !!!
It's nice to see a team who is struggling in both div's put's on a GR8 spread and to me that is what football is all about !!!!!!!!!!!!
