This was nearly an exact repeat of our game last week.
Within 20 mins the score was 1-1, PSL were the better team in the first half but half time we were 2-1 down going on to lose 3-1. The ref must be mentioned as I'm sure both teams will agree he had a bad game which ruined it for the majority of players. Some strange decisions including a stone-wall pen that wasn't given were made and he failed to keep control over the game which could easily have gotten way out of hand. In the first half PSL were by far the better team keeping most of the possession. After a blatant freekick was not given (even though the ref was about to blow but waved to play on) our lads stopped in disbelief allowing Stamford player to get through and make it 1-0 early on. After putting some more pressure on Stamford, PSL drew level from a magnificent strike by myself from the edge of the box. A cross had been cleared only as far as me, one touch to control and then next to lob the keeper! 1-1 and game on. Shortly before halftime Stamford took the lead again against the run of play. A missed interception at the back put the Stamford striker through to score. At half time for the second week in a row were were losing despite being the better team. Second half Stamford upped their game and PSL lacked the fight to continue playing the same as first half. Several chances can and went and we were ultimately punished by hit on the break after pushing forward to get a goak back. Very frustrating game as twice now we should have picked up points but failed to do so.

It was fantastic to see the Villa result although I had a little bet on Villa winning 3-1. Carew's hattrick cost me 95 quid! Needless to say I got a bit drunk Saturday night!

Braggy, you scored? I take it you just chipped it back in the box and the wind took it? ;)

It wouldn't be the first time that has happened!

I'm on fire this season though, 3 years without a goal and 2 so far this year!

SimplyMe - Were you there? :)

Nah...To be fair to him, after a bad first touch (nothing unusual there) the ball bounced up and i think Braggy actually meant it.

The ref was a legend for all the wrong reasons, he looked like Jimmy Savilles dad so for that I forgive him. I think majority of players on both sides did well considering his decision making (or lack of) though I will say no more as im starting to whinge to much on here these days!

Our third loss in a row so it can only get better, well i hope, a certain player was quality for us again (i dare not say who or Jimmy will rob him from us) just hope the rest of us lads learn from his determination and heart.

Who was that then slim??...cant think of anyone else in the ressies that i will be taking, if anything maybe sending 1 or 2 back to you....

Hope trevor is being tough with you boys, he has to be or you dont get anything out of half of them....got a couple of additional players to send you this week, 1 being ritchie roberts ( 1st team keeper under AL ) he has just come back from injury so needs couple games in ressies ( and to be honest Mcgaffin is playing well at the moment ), which will free noel up to play upfront, and a new striker that we had a look at saturday, needs a lot of fitness but braggy know's what to do with him....

Not telling :flip: (you probably know anyway)

And that's right you will not be taking anyone else or im gone!

Braggy is not being hard enough on us and he needs to be a bit louder and more authorative, but im sure the young lad will learn, he has been thrown in at the deep end.

Not sure about all this 'new player who needs alot of fitness' and Braggy knows 'what to do with him' Braggy is a married man now and though that may just be a cover up, sexual relations between team mates is not on! :wed:
