View Full Version : Games off
Can not see many games being on this weekend with rain we had and predicted downpour - surprised that the council have not called off already?? but I predict they will today!!
If possible will be good to hear from people who's games are on or off so I know where to go and what team to watch tmrw rather than wasting time driving around!!
Yeah, I can see all of them being off if I am honest. Gym it is then - (although at least there is eye candy in the gym . . . especially more recently, is it a January thing that all the birds are coming out of the woodwork? !!)
of course they are mate they all want to be slim for the summer holidays when the points book come out the closet and they go on a "girls holiday" DAMN GIRLS HOLIDAY. "i didnt do anything honest, i just had a good time and there were no lads there. I love you" yeah right and i share a bllod line with elvis Presley!....... WAIT did i just type all that, DAMN!

let Harbs latest posting be a lesson to all of you youngsters out there - STAY OFF DRUGS!!!!!
I have just spoken to werrington sports centre cos our reserves are playing werrington reserves tommorrow and the guy has said the decision will be down to the ref tommorrow even though there are ducks swimming on the pitches. The groundsman has said he feels the game shouldnt go ahead ( pitches look like lakes ) but apparentley it is out of there hands n down to the ref. We just waiting to hear if our game against harrox is on.
Or get on them! Mate, do you have jealousy issues? Stay single to mingle!

thast fcucking ridiculous, why cant they just call it off then, why do i have to waste my time turning up just for the ref to state the blooming obvious.... dur there are ducks on the pitch but we best get the refs 'expert' opinion.

Why can't the old fart upstairs stop ****ing on us??!!! :soo:
Then we might get to play some football!! Dam rain!
You're right Justin, if we have to travel all the way to Christchurch just for the ref to call it off that will be an absolute joke. The thing is there is always that hope that by some miracle it will dry up in time, if it rains again i think we are struggling to play. Fingers crossed it does'nt.
If it helps Gazza we were supposed to have a double header at our place tomorrow but due to the persistance rain we've called off the ressies game and praying that we can get one pitch available. from what i'm told it's not looking good though. I'd be surprised if its much better at Christchurch but you never know!!!!
Forgot to add, has anyone seen next weeks weather? Not good, rain all week again. Surely not, no football for three weeks!!!!!!

Dbish - your reserve game defo off? Think it was our reserves visiting.
As for the council we got the same response - ref's decision. Must say I prefer it to their usual blanket decision as often our pitches are fine when others are not. Personally I inspect our pitches myself as I did last week and usually try and rope in a local ref to give a ref's opinion. I was lucky last week as the colts were in action in the morning and one of the guys involved refs in the Combination so I let him decide. That way it is a referee's decision but it saves everyone turning up unnecesarily. Realise not everyone will have a ref on hand to help.
As it is our home game will be a major doubt but may leave it until first thing to get a view. Damn this weather.....

No real rain today in Spalding / Moulton. Good drainage at Moulton should mean that the game should go ahead tomorrow barring any major downpours tonight / tomorrow morning.
Great that we have this discussion - Maybe better to let people decide on their own pitches but club must act responsibly as it seems they are!!
Playing for PNS res tmrw as still not good enough for the first team :soo: and our game appears to be on in Northampton!!
Good luck to all - hope you play!!
Thorneyfcboy, our secratary/res manager/groundsman told me earlier it's off mate as we may have a chance of getting one game on down their so 1st team gets preference.
