Back to Sundays then..... can't wait to see how our leagues pan out in 2008...
Will JNE win it? what about our div 1, anyone of 4 or 5 teams by the looks of it?
PFA Cup....... We've drawn JNE in the 1/4 finals, ties end of Jan - should be a cracking game!
Predictions for this Sunday! who'll get a full team out 1st game back hahaha?

Racing 252 v Lord Westwood 1-4

Brewery Tap v Deeping Athletic 5-3 (reckon Deeping wont field a strong side!)
Farcet United v Royal Mail Ayl 1-5 (Mail too strong)
Limetree v Emap Fc ?? (hopefully our lads will be back 100% up for this tough game!)
Premier Decorators Fc v Scarletts Fc 3-3 (Prem Dec a totally new side now, tough game)
Protelo Fc v New Shoes 1-2 ('I predict a riot' - Protelo are basically thugs and the Yaxley lads won't stand for it, good luck to the ref!)

Missed 2 big games off Sean as Netherton and Us have 1/4 of northants this weekend - hopefully both will win!!
As for league and Cup, We have a great chance now Jamie and duane back for us after serving suspensions!! The best forward combination around bar none! Have said all along that people needed to get a march on us whilst we struggled and they have not with us actually sitting top!! Big month for JNE as we have Westwood, Lord Burghley and yourselves (in cup) all to play so at the end of Jan we will know where we are!!
Your league too close to call but Limetree look at good bet with the Gibbs brothers upfront!!
JNE and Netherton to fly the flag in the Northants; hopefully two wins, good luck guys!

just found out that R.Mails game sun is off yet again cus no ref. we have had 1lg game in the last 2months!!!! We have only played 5lg games so have 13 lg games to go!!!! Then we are told a team that has played 10 lg games is the only game on!!! Surely priority shd go to teams who are miles behind in order 4 them to catch up!!! WOT A FARCE :hbgr:

I think Hempo told me the only game on in Div 1 is Emap and Limetree.

Thats really bad news if thats true (Glad ours is on - if it is??).
R Mail should defo be getting a ref and they should drop a prem or other league fixture to ensure they play in my opinion...
I have a few refs numbers people could try if they want to see if they can sort one themselves and get their game on??? drop me a message on here with your mobile number if you want?

Big S are u not made to play with or without a ref being supplied on sundays thought on sat afternoon 1 of the club officials have to do it or risk points and fines
PSMFL rules state that only a registered official can officiate a PSMFL game.

Someone (previous PSMFL member) pushed through a ruling that no Sunday AM game can go ahead without an affiliated referee!!!
Not sure if that's such a good thing now as we aint got enough refs so games are always getting called off...

I thought there may be another reason Royal Mails game was cancelled. It gives them another opportunity to finally catch up on all those undelivered Christmas parcels!!! :lol:
Well done to Limetree on their win over us today. We played well in patches, but all in all the majority of our team played like a pile of Eartha Kitt. We need to shake our ideas up before the rematch! The Gibbs brothers are clearly the best partnership in the division and we failed to deal with their threat. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Limetree did play well and their front 2 are the best we've faced in this league so far by some way!
We did however gift them at least 3 goals (our keeper had a mare!) and how we didn't get a pen in the 1st half when our capt was bundled over I'll never know!
limetree did deserve the win though and are favourites for the league based on what we've seen so far in my opinion!
How did the P'boro teams do in the Northants cups then?
Netherton won 2-1 at St Margarets! In the semis for the 3rd year running.
Heard that JNE lost but sure they will confrim! The side they played is who we lost to last year in the semis.
Well Done Netherton - Great win and good luck in semis.
Unfortunately, we suffered a 2-0 loss but am still wondering how!!
Totally dominated for the majority of the match and we had enough chances to win a number of games let alone one against a very ordinary side!! (would not finish top 3 in p'boro) We felt that this was our best opportunity to win it as (no disrespect to others) we felt were the best team in the competition. gotta do it on the pitch though!! Bang goes our chances though with next year looking unlikely that JNE will continue certainly with the side we have now!!
Really was a sickener and one that we will need to shake off with a massive derby vs westwood this week!

Well done the posh kids, but paper must have been a missprint as it showed a D.Bradley scoring. Nice to see 2 PNS boys on target, though given the rate at which we get through players they will probably be someone elses next week!

went to watch the netherton game in northants ... what a battle . free flowing attacking football . glad we were on the right side of the good game . a northants local said it was a credit to sunday football as he said it was the best game by far on a sat or sunday .... sorry to see the jube loosin . could of been a good all peterborough final . sounds like kingsley have same sorta side which beat us .
last year we battered them but they can defend quite well have young quick defenders so quite hard to score against and they got a goal just after half time which they held onto . the jube V kingsley ref was in the bar we were in and said that u lot had the better of things in the first half but couldnt score.
back to bread and butter league this week ..... with us fighting for relegation .

ah great ..... another week without a league game. had 3 weeks cancelled in december because of weather so cheers for the league not giving us any league games in septerber! looks like all them games will be played in april lol
the league can't do anything if it takes you 4 weeks to play a county cup game!

Well said mate... how can the league be at fault for bad weather and a team taking 4 weeks to get their Northants cup game sorted?
To be fair Ed did not blame the league for the weather, he said we should have had games in september which is true! Our 1st game was on the 23/9!
Could have played on the 2nd,9th & 15th! But again no ones fault, just was not enough refs, the league did the best they could and now hopefully things are taken a turn for the good.
:flip: to you tommy! Just remember who finished the oak off with a record defeat for them!!
You should be concentrating on the Sat stuff and getting PNS sorted rather than this below you sunday morning football!!

Eddie, think it was that line that provoked the reaction? you kinda lay some blame on the league for not getting you games in Sept (although you did play last weekend in Sept?) but with the lack of refs I think they had no options back then?
From the look of it, the games you've missed in Nov/Dec from cancelled NFA cup games look to have put you well behind schedule and that's not really within the leagues control - think thats what rabbit meant.
I'm sure teams like Netherton and R Mail etc will start getting refs as a priority to allow them to catch up, they should do in my opinion anyways.
A priority system has now been put in place to ensure those teams who are behind with fixtures are getting referees.
Remember though, that could be either just one of the teams, or both who are behind with fixtures. So if you see a game with a team you know have played loads of games, chances are their opposition haven't.
Eddie, If I remember correctly, Netherton requested they didnt have a fixture on the 2nd September so it was only two weeks out of september where no game was played.

2 weeks is 2 weeks.....so we may be half way through our fixtures by now . maybe the psml can talk to county affiliations to put a rule in where if a pitch is called off then the very next week it gets rearanged to the away side....
i aint bothered anyway . its not like im going to be playin sunday , tuesday wed thursday sat sunday come april lol
Netherton have been drawn away at AFC Desborough in the semis of the Northants Cup on 03/02/08!

surely all these cancelations are ridiculous . one day of rain ...... tommorow is supposed to be fine . alot can happen in 2 days ... why not do it tthe old way where u turn up 4 a game and see if its playabe or not? .... our pitch in northampton was a disgrace but we still played
