Netherton Res v Psl Res

After dawing with these boys last week we new we would be in for a tough game at the grange ( or at least we thought we would be ). And after 5 mins into the game it looked like we would be as the netherton striker broke clear of our defence only to be brought down in the box by our keeper ( who if hadnt of hesitated in coming out would have cleared the ball before he got anywhere near him ), 1-0 netherton. We failed to get to grips with the pace in which netherton started the game and 10 mins later fount ourselves 2-0 down, again lack of discipline at the back let us down. The half was coming to an end and we hadnt created to many chances and looked out of the game, then we start to string a few passes together and before we know it we back in the game after a clever flick from lungay onto deboo who lobs the keeper. From that psl start to build some momentum and a ball through from price finds scatters who cuts inside the defender to fire home from 18 yards, 2 -2 , Halftime.

A few choice words from yours truly at halftime seem to have worked as we completely outplayed them in every area of the pitch in the second half, limiting them to little possesion and hardly any chances on goal. Goals in the secon half came from ferguson 1 & lungay 2, what was only a 2-5 win should have been a cricket score, but for to many missed chances, but very very happy with the 3 points.

Also nice to see our 1st team get a win at the weekend and well done to one of my reserve players who went to help out al n the boys and got himself a goal. Well done al n lads

Ritchie McGaffin played in goal for them, davey sandford played up front and matt kapulski was on the bench. Cracking result mate for us but wont mean anything if we dont win this weeks game.

weather permitting mate we away at sutton bridges res i think. Be a tough game but looking forward to it

Thought we were quality last sat, especially coming from 2 behind and we played well first half as well as second, think they got their 2 goals in the first from only 3 attacks. May be our minds were on our xmas party in Notts and hooters in particular.

Defence starting to look a bit more solid so unfortunately getting the feeling im gonna be stuck at right back... again.

XMAS PAARTY:
Dont have time to talk about all the shenanigans but here is a brief summary:

Quality night, drinking and some of the single lads pulling some mingers

Back at hotel. Massive pile up in the corridor after leaving security downstairs only to realise the cctv was right above our heads...this was then followed by an ice fight, Kapulski running through corridors naked for 'ice ammunition' and then bouncers telling us we were on our last warning before being kicked out...spoilsports.

Still managed to get in some naked wrestling before going to bed (not me of course im way to mature.)

Fergie - Woke us all up at 5.30 by falling off the end of the bed with a gay whimper

Deboo - Was far to happy to be naked in a room full of lads and showing off his willy copter party trick

Weekend was topped off on the sunday by there being zero trains running and having to pay a rather expensive taxi fee back to the boro...happy days.

From going 2-0 down quite early I thought it was going to be one of those days cuz we weren't playing too badly. Despite the pitch being quite muddy that got worse as the game went on (white shirts and a muddy pitch don't go well together. Glad I wasn't washing it!), we played really well

braggs - it's taken linzi 6 washes to get kit clean n it still aint fully clean!! Next time i think i will make you lot play in skins or you take your own bloody kit home to wash it!

Slim - saturday night was a cracker, best night out for ages n i still cant believe fatty mcgaffin wanted a curry at 4 am. There's na way i will share a room with the hobbits again they are to :hug: up.
