1 Warboys Town FC - They have had it easy so far but are in with a tough run over the next 2 months. i think a few losses will end their title chances.
2 Eye Sports - Most improved team in Div 2 based on last year, expect to see them top by the new year.
3 Manea United - One of the divisions strongest sides, 3rd place finish predicted, you should have your strongest squad to play this determined side, beating the new look Real 3-0 last week should tell you something.
4 Sawtry - jeckyle and hyde of the league, with a full strength squad expect a very tough game but a few weaknesses. best after game banter in the league.
5 Stilton United - This years runners up, very hard to see them being beaten. superstars and ability thru out the team. Manager should be proud. Your not that good though :P
6 Doddington United - i havent had the priveledge of playing them so i will leave it down to you all to enlighten me on their abilities. Eye scraped a 4-3 win against them while i was tanning up in Spain.
7 Langtoft United - Above average div 2 side beat a weak eye team 5-0 but revenge was sweet and our 1-0 return match should have been 5-0 i can see 6th or 7th for this hard working team.
8 Real March - WHOOP WHOOP - New face in the crowd. forget the last 11 games played they now have a new gaffer and a lot of new players as well as some ugly old ones ;) should we expect a top 6 finish?? Only time will tell.
9 Castor & Ailsworth - Some good players, we picked out their weaknesses im expecting 4 or 5 - nil to eye in our return match if last game was anything to go by. Raging bull in Raph who should have had 2nd red of the season. Lots to do to finish above mid table.
10 Peterborough Rovers - On paper a very good team, its not happening for them, They are the leagues "friends" enjoying them selves but may cause some damage soon, i think they could upset War Boys.
11 Benwick Athletic - missed them 1st game of the season but league position tells a story, struggling to produce, impressive 3-2 win against REAL MARCH and then predicted 3 points at Fen Tigers. may stay in 11th, let battle commence.
12 March St Marys - Again 3 points at Fen Tigers and recently beating Benwick 3-0 may be a good fight between 11th and 12th place. Doesnt matter where you are if its not top one place higher should push the players.
13 Chatteris Fen Tigers - Division strugglers who wont lay down and Die, We all salute you. played 12 lost 12 scored 8 conceeded 77. Keep battling fingers crossed a point or 3 will make it all seem worth while.
9 Castor & Ailsworth - Some good players, we picked out their weaknesses im expecting 4 or 5 - nil to eye in our return match if last game was anything to go by. Raging bull in Raph who should have had 2nd red of the season. Lots to do to finish above mid table.
i watched the 1st half of this game a few weeks ago and castor had a fair few of their best players missing so the team you played against was what they could muster together so i've been told. and the 1st half they should've taken the lead. i believe they are signing a few players this week including a couple of prem players so 4 or 5 nil i think is a bit over ambitious.
my first year in this div mate i know very little on the teams so my comments are opinions based on what i have experienced so far. I agree they had chances as per the match report Castor had their chances as did we but if stato was there by full time we would have prob had 20 shots on target and at least 3-4 one on ones! so removing all the "chances" and going clear cut that should be goals i say 5-0
Raging Bull, haha! Is that like Robert De Niro? We are signing 4-5 Prem players then JB? Looks like I'll be getting my P45 then!

where did you get that from? read things properly! :D

1 Warboys Town FC - Don't under estimate. I played them last year when I signed for Seb, IF they get their full squad out, will upset many teams!
2 Eye Sports - Having played pre-season (including a mare against Perkins!!!) can see why they will be causing problems. Gino has a good squad there and 1st / 2nd finish.
3 Manea United - Again, they had a good squad last year and improved on it this year by all accounts. Good side who used width of the pitch (lad I marked had chalk on his boots all game). They will be up there this year.
4 Sawtry - jeckyle and hyde says it all.
5 Stilton United - Always been a strong side in this league and will be up there with Eye.
6 Doddington United - Organised and work well as a unit. Top 6
7 Langtoft United - Never come across them.
8 Real March - :D I think Sparky has caused more harm than good for them on this board. Now onto their 2nd rebuild of squad for this season and I don't think they will be up there.
9 Castor & Ailsworth - Some good players but seem to be hit and miss.
10 Peterborough Rovers - They beat us 5-3 last year and I have no idea how! Don't personally rate them and most of the above teams will take maximum points from them.
11 Benwick Athletic - Fair play to these guys. They got hammered last year and have come back fighting this time.
12 March St Marys - I think they have lost a few players. Beat them in my 1st game but they played well.
13 Chatteris Fen Tigers - They seem to have lost all of their squad. Last season's home game we beat them by 1. Away game was a different squad and we were upto double figures nearly (think we finished on 9-1!)
Fair assessment Harbs, although you got one very important part wrong. I think you know what part that was.
We can't believe Langtoft, no dis-respect to Eye, Sawtry, Warboys etc but if you asked a Stilton player who played against Langtoft, who the best team we have played, he would tell you Langtoft. Not sure if they had a few 'extra players' if you know what i mean, or they all had the game of their lives, but their league position is surprising.
Got 3 hard games in a row now, if we win all of them we will be hot on your heels Harbs and the pressure will be on!!
yeah sorry Gazza i gopt carried away,
1st EYE
2nd Manea
3rd Stilton! - glad you pointed my error out :D
i only played in the 2nd game against Langtoft so couldnt comment on the smashing they gave us 1st time round. (others can and told me they were a strong side - however trhe midfield is the engine room of any team and myself and Ebbo were missing)
I totally agree they have a good team but my own games played this season we found it harder against Manea, Stilton and have had a beast of a game against Sawtry!
Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha Ha ha ha
HA! Could happen if we carry on from last week,i hope not though.
Warboys Vs Manea twice in the next few weeks 0-0,0-0 please.

I think that the top three will be
1.Stilton
2.Eye
3.Manea
We haven't played stilton yet this season but judging on their results they are definately on of the strongest teams in the league. So i think they will win the league.
Eye are technically an excellent footballing side and play nice and tidy football. They have some great players and are well organised. We only lost 3 - 0 to them but are one of the best teams we've come up against.
And finally manea. i didn't get the chance to play against them last season so i can only go on what i saw a few weeks ago. They were unlucky not to score 9 or 10 past us. they also pass the ball well and will cause any team in the league problems.
I think that real march will be a much improved side the second half of the season and may cause a few upsets. but are to far behind points wise to get near promotion. i predict they will come 5th/6th.
We have some top players who have joined in recent weeks to name a few.
Adam Bell , Paul richardson , Hurst , Richard lancaster
Hopefully we can get something out of saturdays game with Sawtry. I just wonder what Sawtry side will turn up?

Langtoft as a club have had lots of problems with injuries this season, the squad we started with was more then capable of challenging for the league this season however this has not been the case, we have recently had as many as 15 players who normally would start in one of the teams absent this has been the story for most of the season quit often turning up for games with 12 players. However we have a strong 30 players this week and the reserves have not played for the last 2 meaning the 1st had a strong enough squad to win both their last games, with the signing of two deeping sports players David howe and david smitheringale and the pending signing of a ucl player Neil wilson (currently tied to netherton in the pboro league) we should see both squads finishing the season well.
With regards to the Stilton game we had our strongest 1st team squad out, we do not have any extra players of that kind and play by the book 100%
I believe the 1st team must replay a fixture v Pboro Rvrs for making the mistake of playing Richard Cooper who has been signed on to Langtoft for years although for some reason he hadn't signed this year. Admin error, langtoft won the game 3-1.
I think those who have been in this league over last few years will agree that this season is the toughest and most impressive it's been. With the exception of Fen Tigers and MSM everyone squad has improved.
Warboys - Yet to play them (this sat away) but from last year's experience they were a tough side to beat escpecially at home, a bit incosistant but they look like they have sorted that this year by improving the squad. (tell you more after sat)
Eye - The only team to take points of us this year (so far), well organised, extremly experienced and good footballing side, apart from Ramsey the best we've come up against this year. (Top 3 Definate)
Sawtry - Another side we have yet to face so again going on last season difficult to beat at home. (5th)
Stilton - Bit repetitive i know but haven't played them either, but it's not difficult to work out the're a very good side. We had a couple of great games against them last year so looking forward to this years rematches, couple of weeks time i think!!!!!!! (Top three definate)
Doddington - Very inconsistent, always a good battle being one of our local derby's. We stuffed them at the start of the season but i think that may have been a one off, Harness up front is a danger to anyone so capable of taking points of anyone. Mid - Table
Langtoft - Only played in the away fixture (we had them in the cup as well) very physical that day and i was expecting more from them but that might have been an off day. Mid -table
Real March - One things for sure they have improved on last year, and from what i hear and see they are only going to get better, as they are aware it's too late for this season but they could play a part in the title race, if all those players come and what they already have they we be very competetive. Mid - table
Castor - Decent side, we've played them twice, stuffed them at home but i think they may have been a few short that day. Mid -Table
P'Boro Rovers - I don't hink they are as bad as there league position, they always have a good go i know that. Too many other good sides though. Mid -Table
Benwick - Big improvers hear, but unfortuently for them everyone else has as well. Hat's off to them after last season. (3rd from Bottom)
MSM - Very poor when we played them. Can't see it improving as it doesn't loook like they are getting a team out each week, shame really as they were competetive last season. (Where they are now at the end of the season for me)
Fen Tigers - League whipping boys, lost a lot of players from last year. They we're very tough to beat at home last year especially with the five a side goals and pitch they have there, it just turned into a battle and they we're pretty good at that. they are still turning up every week so again hat's off to them (Bottom at the end of the year though!!)
It's getting serious now boys with some big fixtures approaching fast so we will soon know a lot more as we get into the new year. Good Luck to all (well sort of !!!! )

have to agree with you aiden. the second half of last season when i came to langtoft we had one of the strongest squads on paper in that league by far most of whom i had played with or against for deeping rangers which shows their pedigree being in one of their sides. it was unbelievable that the team got relegated with the talent that was available especially after absolutely hammering deeping sports in one game and just losing to them in the second. if they get their act together a late surge is not beyond them but if not i'd say they should be faves for the title next season.

well the 1st team have a tough game at home to castor this week but have a strong squad out so hopefully will get 3 points and the reserves have one of those games which I hate v bottom of the league stamford, Langtoft have a habbit of screwing those games up.
If langtoft win this week and keep the squad they have rest assured they will push the rest of the season.
I heard a rumour that if Kings cliffe and gedney fold they may push up the top 4 clubs, i don't know what the situation is with those two and to be honest it was a little while ago.

We played Langtoft last Sat (P'Boro Rovers) and I have to say they were average, we got 2 men sent off by a card happy ref and we still should have beat them, we missed a pen and had 2 or 3 golden chances saved etc, playing like that I would put them in the bootom half without a doubt!
They may have just had an off day though? we lost 2-1 by the way but the ref over-ruled a blatant last minute offside to let them score.... one of the craziest displays by a ref that I've seen... he booked a Langtoft player early 1st half then after sending 3 people off, awarding a pen and other mad decisions he pulls the same lad up with 15 mins to go, he books him by putting his name in the book and reaches for a card, when he realises he's on a yellow he changes his mind and says it's just a warning this time. He was being assessed too - had to laugh!
Langtoft- There seems to be rumours like that every season, we have finished 3rd last 2 seasons and we always hear rumours like that and get excited but it never materialises. Just don't bank on it.

lol bad time to have a crazy game? so this would be the sort of game where 6 - 9 minutes injury time would be appropriate?! :) oh well cant do much now but whinge but it makes for good reading if nothing else BOTN
I will say one thing though all season sides are weakened thru players missing thru injury and commitments my team EYE are no acception but the winners of this season will be the team that play as a SQUAD for the whole season. it seems at some point we have all come on and said we had a few players missing or in some cases we had 82 players missing this week but this all boils down to the league being so compettative! luck of the draw... you wont be able to go to manea, stilton or even Sawtry with 3-4 players missing and expect a result UNLESS you have a squad of 16 exceptionally talented players!!!! (but then youd be walking away with the league)
so can some one please do me a favor and put Bainsey and gazza and a few other stilton players out of action ;) just for a few weeks :P

not whinging Harbs, too old for that, I thought it was funny, I'm only playing Rovers now and then (when I get in) to help out as I cant get into my EMAP team any more!
You don't want me out of action mate, someone useful might come in! (See last weeks game).
Bainesy is out of action bless him, twisted sock or something.
BOTN i was referring to my match report from sat more so with the whinging mate dont know if you've had chance to read it all lol...
Whats up with BRAINSEY??? nail caught in sock problem again?? poor guy.
None of your business Harbour, he will be back soon enough thats all you need to know. Calm down. Seriously, just got a knock the other week, see the stilton website for a brilliant photo of Beardsley.
http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/stiltonunited/theteam.pl?player=414328
absolutely spot on mate! love it
also got his leg raised is that to get some blood to his head??
Stilton for me as my goo mate Mr Mark Baines will be the difference!! Although another league title will do his head size no good at all!!
Just seen the Picture - Brillant - gotta get that mentioned in the ET - French on friday??
I definitely would'nt want to make it worse for the old boy by starting a nickname of Beardsley for the lad. Chin up son. We love you really Bainer.
Sorry JB, I thought it you said 4-5 Prem players. Are you coming to us then? I missed last week, but it was good to see us progress in a cup. If it wasn't for our points deduction, then our season would be completely different. Not just in the sense of losing points, but also the inevitable malaise that goes around the squad, when they know that league silverware may've been harshly taken away. With a full team in the right formation, I hand-on-heart believe us to have the strongest line up in the league. The only problem comes in getting those players to gel, to not get ****ed-up the night before and to actually show up every week.
On the bright side, I reckon that Div 2 has the best players in the league - what is all that about? !!

ALL u people who think WARBOYS wont go up are jokers, av u seen the team they now got??? U say they aint played any good teams yet they drew with stilton but should av put the game to bed in the first half!! They played manea with 4-5 starting players missing and still made them look silly beating them 5-1, as for inconsistant they aint lost yet hows that not consistant!! Looking forward to sat against sawtry because there show them wat consistant is like!! Every week u doubt them and every week there delivering!!!! There strike force is guna be unstopable and there defence is not letting in any goals as for there midfield id like to see anyone match them up......LOOK FORWARD TO PLAYING U ALL

Warboys warrior...
Was you actually there? I dont think you made us look stupid far from it...1. the game should never have been played..2. our goalie gave you 3 if not 4 goals when i mean gave you them they may aswell have been open goals...we was bad that game. and as for the ref you boys said he was bad....
Harbs - having been involved in this division the last 2 seasons ( not this one obvi ), eye should be the most improved team when you consider some of the players that have gone ther ( that couls n probably should be playing higher ), stilton have always had a good side ( probably the best in div 2 for last 2 season, just havent managed to win league yet ) and with a certain superstar in the ranks they are even stronger. Personally i would have to say warboys are the most improved side, 1st season we played against them they were the benwick of the league, 2nd season they were a little stronger, and this season they are looking value for money.
Saying all that though this is probably the best division to be part of this season ( even though i not in it ). Do miss those rivalry games we had with stilton n coates. All the best lads n good luck to you all.
My Top 3
1. Stilton
2. Eye
3. Warboys
We are all entitled to our opinions gentlemen thats what chat forums are all about.
I reckon warrior kid got home after a few too many milkshakes after his mac donnalds company do and googled 1st place as he's never seen it before and stumbled across our conversation.
I know nothing about this division or for that matter any other i havent been a part of but one thing that has opened my eyes to a world out side the boro prem is playing in this division and im having a great time, thats what its all about.
Bratts your right tob gutted to be missing out on this banter it keeps me logging on every day.
looks like the way things are going were looking at
Stilton
War Boys
Eye.... who knows, but one thing i do know is there are some twists and turns to come.
Eye play War boys soon so you can come on here after your defense are solid, your strikers rip us apart and your midfield proove they are the best around Daniel son.

I think warboys have done really well this year. there are a few people on this forum who think they not as good as there results suggest. but all credit to them they are still unbeaten and i personally think stilton are the best team in the league and they managed to draw with them.
We were 2-0 up against them on the first game of the season and then they pulled it pack to win 3-2.
i don't think we can question their position in the league at all. but i do agree it will be tough in the coming month with the fixtures they have. we'll see how they do.
Wot happened to Real march's game at Warboys on Saturday called off for some reason
:soo:
probably war boys didnt have a full strength team... hence the unbeaten run ;)
I have to agree with the comment left by warboys warrior, i saw them play agaisnt manea who in many peoples eyes are or... were.... a fancied team to push for promotion, an being fair 2 manea the pitch was awful but it was the same for both sides Yido, an you lot were left lookin very very average for most of the game.
wat do they say bout a bad tradesman blaming his tools....... if u cant get a good enough goalie then its not warboys fault if they took full advantage of that..
poor effort son.

lol, FAIRY enough, well you should have a good game on your hands this weeken bud if your opps can get a side out.
will look forwards to hearing the scores guys.
very tight atthe top, stilton and war boys MUST be stopped.
im just off to training lads.
have fun in the pub you lot while were all keeping fit and healthy at EYE :P
Surprised Real March couldn't raise a team, why the struggle? I had a free weekend, I would've played - for the fame of being a Real March 'appearee'. Expect a points deduction for that one...
I recall playing Warboys an I remember them as a Jewson side. How the mighty have fallen, boasting about being a team challenging for the P'boro Div 2 title! FWIW, I don't think Warboys will finish in the top two, but I agree they're hugely improved on the previous 2 seasons.

Getting to that When i saw the warboys boys out in boro please tell me why the hell was you drinking ROSE wine???????
And i wasnt blaming the goalie just saying he had a bad game!!!!!
And i hope warboys are up there at end of season they should be. Just hope thay can keep it going all season not just half....
