Ak 11

I see that Ak elevn again had another game where the other team has decided to walk of due to the fear factor. I did wonder about this as it had happened twice and nothing was done but played them last week and they do have quite a fewplayers who try an intimadate you through out the game,( which is normal) but i think its more the off the ball incidents that are goin on which is more worring. During our game we were told that our heads would be kicked in etc. Also our youngest plyer was doing the line and was told by some fans his legs would be broken if he came on the pitch and due to this told us he didnt want to play. Now there is having a bit of banter which we all have and there is threataning behaviour which can put players health at risk. Surly now these players not the team as certain players are genuine should be banned before it gets out of hand and a player is seriously hurt.

What do you all think?

It's been happening for ten years and the league don't give a ****. They just ban or try and ban the other teams who kick-off against them in retaliation.

Was guna keep out of this but sod it! The league has made a rod for its own back having slagged off unfairly in public the likes of PIS, Bluebell and no doubt Charters will suffer now for walking away from fighting.

My only advice to the teams in that league is to try your hardest n join a proper local league where the management dont try to convey their own personal agendas against clubs and individuals - The Peterborough Saturday league is different class incomparrison in respect of how its run, well in every respect come to think of it! Many years of history means nothing, football is about what goe's on today as the morning league have just found out.

Just hope Charters are not made to suffer for doing the right thing.

Always thought that the Sunday afternoon league has always been for people who were not good enough to play in any other league or drunken yobs!! :lol: :soo:

Typical mickey mouse league run by Goofy and Minnie - hence AK being allowed to carry on despite thinking their in Football Factory!! :batr:
Quit and join the Sunday morning league where hopefully BOTN and the the rest of his little helpers will do some good and turn it around to get it back to some decency!!

Errrr JNE I think you've been on the :beer: mate...
I've got no little helpers - in fact I'm not actually doing anything other than attend their meetings and talk about things that could improve etc, it's still the majority of the old committee that are running it and doing a fine job - they deserve the support and praise - I'm not really involved at all....

I would recommend any team to switch to Sundays though as I do believe the current commitee will turn things around, each league is competitive and with more refs it should return to a well run league in time!

Cheers mate, the committee need all the help they can get right now, I honestly think they have the making of a really decent set of people who will try and improve things for the good of us all..

I'm only there to help short term as I thought they were going to be left short when T*tman announced in the press that they were ALL leaving - as usual he was just going for headlines and personal gain and it turned out most of the good people stayed on after he'd left, I doubt I'll be involved too much in the new year as they seem to have more than enough willing volunteers right now and I have another new addition to the family due in 3 weeks :beer:

hence also why a crap team like AK 11 are very successful. i'd like to see them try and join a proper league and go out to places like leverington, parsons drove etc and see how long it is before they walk off scared.

Or go to ANY Sunday morning team and try to win - all the way down to Baddows Spartak.

The problem with a lot of the Sunday PM teams, is that most of their players already play on Saturday and Sunday AM, so if they were to move to either of those days, they would struggle for personnel!

On and off about ten years! Used to play 5-a-side with them and started with them when they formed their 11-a-side team three seasons ago; had one season break and then back again this season (it stops me drinking so much Saturday nights, if I know that I have two games on Sunday!)

I remember playing this team a few times when I was playing for St Johns, we once got through to a semi final at chestnut ave one of the best games I have been involved in, however a big fella ak had playing for them told our player at the time Brett Bellamy he was gonna kill him, needless to say brett said at half time i am not going to play the 2nd half for that reason, score at the time was 1-1 we lost to a last min of ex time goal.

Anyway I can also agree that they are a total sham team and although I havent faced them for a few years can say they obviosuly havent changed.

Would love them to be in Combi League 1 and see them get smashed every week.

We used to compete for the league with them (Chequers) and they were not the best team to play against.

You have to take what they say / threaten with a pinch of salt. It's the way they are!
