Braggs - would like to think we can build on last weeks result, but i think we will find these ramsey boys a little tougher to beat the bretton lads we played last week. Just looked at the pdfl site n they are sitting 3rd in there league and are unbeaten in the league. Should make for a cracking cup tie......

Thanks brian - we knew was in for a tough game as all 3 ramsey side's are playing well at the moment, ramsey are 3rd in there div wiv 21 points from 8 games and they won there previous 2 cup games so i believe we are the 1st team to beat them this year

To be fair they came at us guns blazing right from kick off and didnt give my lads chance to settle on the ball, but we soaked up there pressure and coped well and eventually got them on the break which earned us a corner that davey boy tucked awat past the keeper to make it 1-0. We then had a 15 min spell which saw us dominate the game and had enough chances b4 half time to put ourselves 3 ahead at least, but we had to settle for going in at half time 1-0 up.

The lads knew they were lucky to be 1 up and knew they had to raise there game in the 2nd half. But we got off to a bad start n ramsey deservedly equalised. From then on it went 2-1, then 2-2..full time

Into extra time n we got what i thought would be the winner to make it 3-2, but after the ref made his only mistake of the game giving a free kick that he admitted after the game he should have never gave, ramsey made it 3-3 and i though **** this is going to pens. Ramsey broke on the attack and forced a good save from the outstanding porteous in goal, who's quick thinking released fergie on the break, fergs beat his man and whipped a cracking cross for lungay to smash home n win us the game.

Yes we was al ittle lucky 2 get the win as it could have gone either way, that game would have made a cracking final as it was end to end from start to finish.......

I have to agree that it was a cracking game for the neutral to watch. Glad we were on the right side of the result cuz the Ramsey lads worked very hard and played some very good football. The game looked like it was definately going to go to pens. After we went 2-1 up, they scored within 5mins to equalise and they did it again when we went 3-2 up.

bratts you forgot to mention slim bratts taking a ridiculous shot from 45yards in the second half...I can't believe he hit the bar! :gun:

Ahh thanks Braggy, i obviously was not going to mention it, but yes thats right...though id say 50 yards, cut inside my man before unleashing an unstoppable drive (floater) that looked like it would drop in to the top corner, unfortunately the bar got in the way...i believe this would have gone in on any other ground where kids have not lowered the height of the goalposts by swinging on them.

Though it will now give me the confidence to shoot at will in all upcoming games.

Thought it was a great game to be involved in, Ramsey were very unlucky and a good footballing side. Bring on the semis :pty2:

I will demand that you do not get licence to shoot at will cuz we will end up spending more time fetching the ball than playing football!

Next time they are more likely to go out for a throw, not going to mention who did that!
