Must admit i was a bit concerned going into this game, we beat these guys pre-season 6-3 but we did have half a 1st team playing for us, and out confidence hasnt been good of late. I had a few choice words to say to my lads before the game and questioned some of the players commitment to both myself and PSL. But the responded in the correct manor....

Straight from kick off we were on it constantly putting pressure on the bretton players not letting them get any time on the ball. After 20 mins of good pressure we was rewarded with a very suspect penalty ( certainly didnt look like a pen from where i stood ). Davey sandford steps un n scuffs his penalty but still manage to put it past the keeper. Bretton were limited to attacks with us probably havong 80% of the possesion in the 1st half. halftime bretton 0 v 1 psl.

Second half gets underway n again psl are going all out trying to get that 2nd goal and eventually it comes with sandford smashing home on the volley from a corner. Psl for some strange reason ( and not to my liking ) take there foot off the gas and bretton start to creep ( i mean kick & elbow )there way back into the game. Brettons number 9 should think himself lucky to finish the game on the field ( if the ref had been alert he wouldnt av ). Slim bratts n the bretton No9 both slide into a challenge n slim comes out the winner n this obviously angers the bretton player who decides with his next 3 challenges is going to use his elbow into the back of slims head 3 times when the ref isn't looking ( if your guna play dirty at least have the B4lls to do it when the player can see what you are doing n not take a cheap shot n then run away after). With about 10 mins to go the ref awards another DODGEY penalty, this time to bretton (the score cards definatley came out for this theatrical dive, but it evened it up as ours wasnt a penalty ) up steps patterson to make it 2-1 & thats how the game ends.....

Should make for a :gun: game when they come to our place, one i shall defo look forward and may even have shall we say 10mins myself.......

Well done to my young guns ( 5 of whom are only 17) that didnt let the fact they where getting lumps kicked out of them affect there game...

I wont... my head is still pounding now

Will just put a quick note in that not all of there players were dirty, they just had a few that let them down and a better ref that could speak English a little better and see properly would have sent the 9 off after the first elbow to the face.

Was originally looking forward to the game as they may have given us more of a challenge if it wasn't for such underhand tactics.

It's a shame that there are still players like that allowed to get away with it, spoils the game for everyone else and people do have to get up for work on a Monday, after all it is a game.
