If you didn't see the ET last night, have a look at the link below...

http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/Lenihan-plans-to-stand-down.3481197.jp

It looks like Al will be leaving PSL by next season.

This is a petition to get him to stay on at PSL.

Please add your support and comments.

Please don't leave Al :tears: Your the best! :nwy:

I think Al knows what he's doing. He has been involved with the club for a long time and I played for him in his 1st season there.

Whilst he has been there many years, PSL seems to be ingrained into him and for all the headaches, playes leaving, suspesnded etc.. he still comes back for more.

If Al was to leave and I feel he will, then he will be leaving them for more than just the reasons stated on the ET page.

thanks for the support Trevor, im only leaving as manager but intend to stay on the committee. the reason i will wait until the end of the season is because as most know, when a manager leaves a club mid season most of the team follow and we still have a shot at the cups. i wouldn't do that to any club not ever unless they got a replacement or sacked me. just up and leaving can put alot of stress and problems on all the guys that run the club. it has also been a factor in a few clubs folding (this will not be the case at PSL as no 1 man is bigger then the club) its has been no secret that i intend to step down and PSL are well aware of my intensions. its a good club and a decent level to manage at with fantastic coverage from the ET. i sure that the club will advertise for a new manager and have plenty of time to do it in.

again thanks for your concerns.

Al - i cant believe it...my 1st season as part of the management at PSl n i've driving you away already

Glad to hear you are staying on the commitee of the club, as you would sorely be missed if you had no involvement at PSL at all.

Must be hard though to decide to step away from a club that you are a big part of? and done so much for!!!

I will sign that petition Trev, however if you are adamant about resigning Al then fair play and good luck to ya.

Thank god your staying till the end of the season, us reserves are struggling in our league let alone having to move up to the prem to cover the players that would surely follow suit...we'd be like the kids at a Michael Jackson sleepover. :mnn: :sxy:

Jimmy will be pleased to hear that they will advertise for another proper manager to take over
