View Full Version : Football Takeover
Ebbsfleet United in the old Conference League have just been bought out by the website Myfootballclub, 20,000 members have paid £35 each for an equal share raising £700,000 for the club to progress and each member has a say in team selection and formations.
That has to be the biggest load of b******s of all time  Mind you if it's successful I will be man enough to be proved wrong and might even form a similar group to take over an up and coming club in something like the UCL, anybody got any ideas which one we could target and how much would each member be prepared to invest :wtg:
yaxley. I`ll pay £35 Spec (Thats one)
i saw that on sky news this morning has the club just been revealed then because theu didnt have the details at 9.30.
i think its crazy. i bet they dont have as much involvement as they would hope and lets be honest how long before the "owners" are asked for more money and start dropping like flies??
It is generally a publicity stunt - although Ebbsfleet aren't far off the Football League. I can see them getting to the Football League and then each shareholder being bought-out by a majority investor.
No manager would be able to take the input from joe public for longer than four games, especially when results go knockers up and the merda hits the fan.
If it was a club close to Peterborough - like Yaxley, I'd be willing to stick a tonne in, or even up to £500 if other people were serious about it.
I'd be up for £35 quid in that spec, but i will have to insist on being involved in playing fomations because you never would try that 6-4-0 formation i suggested, I'm telling you it would have worked!

I will put in £50, but I have to start every game, take penalties and corners, get first choice on shorts and be in charge of all the pool cues.
cambridge are managed by liam daish=cambridge scum so i hope it fails!

jb - Cambridge are managed by Jimmy Quinn, Liam Daish is Ebsfleet manager and why is everbody going for Yaxley??
They need help and its a good set up to work with, plus it would p iss Tommy off.

If you beat us at Hampden, then fair play and I'll buy a Scotland shirt for the Summer with Patrick Kevin Francis Michael Nevin on the back! If not, I expect to see you supporting us with an Italy shirt and F. Cannavaro No. 5 on the back! :gun: :gun: :gun:

Napoli if we dont make it thru i wont be supporting anyone for the first time ever!! As i have become so used to supporting every team that plays England but even that looks doomed!! But at least we will have the home nations if Scotland dont qualify!!

that attitude is the reason why i will never ever support England!!!!!!! But hey sour grapes i suppose, there is us with 2 world cup finalists inour group and the world champions, then for good measure the Quater final team Ukraine are put in, then there is this England group with pretty much no one and yet they still find it difficult to qualify. Yet you still think you are the best team in the world and everyone should respect you!!!
So wait lets look we win or maybe draw and we are through!! you need to get help from somewhere else to go thru a second rate group!!
Yes defo sour grapes Mr Flynn :gun: :gun: :gun: :gun:
Still think we should do the shirt swap . . . or are you bottling out of it? !!
:gun: :gun: :gun:
Oh no you didn't!
You should respect England we have been carrying your asses for decades and now you have a chance of qualifying and all of a sudden Scotland are the team that we should all respect, oh no.
I have never met a Scot that has backed England once Scotland have gone out of a ournament and lets be honest here thats pretty much every tournament they enter.
Now lets have a moment to review the groups we are currently in.
Scots have not yet definately qualified and England still have a chance but yes you have the harder group and yes England have a group of "average countries" but almost everytime you see a pro give an interview why do they always say we try 10% harder against England?? Then you gotta look at how many times have we had a harder group than the scots and qualified and you have the same old story... "We'll try again next time"
Scotland have had Rangers and Celtic pretty much the only 2 tats TWO clubs that have achieved anything! Englands mid table side such as Bolton, Spurs, in the past Ipswich, Notts Forest thats the standard of your countries best clubs.
and the ****ty thing is if england go out i will be backing Scotland to go further just like i back Liverpool to win the champs league when they cheated the Super blues out the tournament.

Not sour grapes at all my friend.I know that England arnt the best in the world, far from it.Yes we should have qualified against what i would call inferior opposition but we might not and hey ho,what can we do about it, nothing. It would be nice to get there but not the end of the world.I have never liked Scotland in any sporting event, same as Wales and Australia.Just from a sporting view of course.

I thought it an opportune moment to rank in, order of priority, the teams I hope don't qualify.
1. Italy.
Thank you and I bid you good day.

Shame Scotland went out - was hoping for a draw and Ukraine win against the French. I blame Fletcher - criminal letting Panucci of all people score!
