PSL slipped down to 6th in the league as Wimblington beat us 3-0. Right from the start Wimblington worked hard and closed us down not giving us a chance to keep hold of the ball. Every time we cleared it, it just kept coming straight back at us. Wimblington played the game hard and fast and PSL just didn't look like they wanted to fight for the points. Despite being on the back foot for most of the first 45mins the teams went in at half time 0-0. The second half start much the same as the first. Wimblington got a corner, PSL were slow to get themselves organised leaving their striker with a free header to make it 1-0. Usually going 1 down is what gives us a kick up the arse but it did't happen. Not long later a striker and our keeper collided and smashed heads. Both going for the ball, both missing it. Our keeper had a bump on his head and their striker had a little bit of a bloody nose...penalty. Obviously none of us think the pen should have stood but it stood and was converted. It was only now that the PSL players were wound up a bit that we started to play but it was in the dying seconds that Wimblington scored a 3rd.

Wimblington played very well and worked very hard. PSL didn't look interested and only started to play when it was too late. We have to do much, much better next week at Long Sutton. You've got to want to fight for the points lads...its up to you to put that bit more effort in then the opposition

I think saturday's game was probably the worst game of have managed!!! Was more disappointed in the players attitudes than the actuall performance, even though our performance was ****!!

Braggs - you failed to mention that we went down to 10 men as well!!

We should have gone into this game full of confidence, yet we looked as if we would rather have been else where, we had a great chance to close up on the leaders n we BLEW IT BIGTIME!!

Yes we had a few players missing, but whats new...we had a strong enough team to get something from the game, it just didnt happen...

A big thank you to the wimblington manager for what he did after the game, both myself and the player involved are very grateful!!!

It was a very poor result...but we got what we deserved, i would love to say we should of got something from the game...but fact is they battered us......it wasnt so much of a knock why we went down to 10 men!!! Not going to name the player, but he has been told that if he ever behaves like that again he wont play for me!!

The difference between the 2 teams was simple...they wanted it more.

They battled for everything and hassled us off the ball, sometimes a little bit unfairly and regularly late with challenges, but they did deserve the win, they are not the best footballing side we have played against, but what they did worked.

Surprised at the laziness and lack of commitment in challenges from some of our lot, but we got a good squad and hopefully we can sort it out.

We know that when we do play to our potential there wont be many teams that will beat us. Well done to Wimblington.
