Any predictions for Sunday lads? Some fairly tasty games out there!
Jubilee North End v Racing 252... 2 - 3 (this should be a cracking game! Who will play for who etc?)
Lord Burghley v Netherton Fc 2 - 5 (another cracking game if Burghley get players out of bed but based on last Sunday from what I saw Netherton have the firepower!)
Lord Westwood v Fratelli 2 - 1 (close game I reckon)
Powerleague Fc v Parkside Fc 3 - 0
Div 1
Emap Fc v Farcet United 5 - 0 (gotta go with our boys!)
Limetree v Protelo Fc 3 - 2 (close call)
Premier Decorators Fc v New Shoes 1 - 4 (shoes to bounce back)
Royal Mail Ayl v Brewery Tap 4 - 4 (cracking tie.... cant split em!)

Lord Burghely 4 nil winners over Netherton standing out as an upset perhaps?
Our easy win over Farcet puts us top of the table (for now) but it was overshadowed by some dirty theiving scum smashing the changing room door at Bushfield Pavillions and robbing bags from 5 of our lads including Car Keys, Wallets, Phones, House Keys, Wedding Rings etc - Police were rubbish and the Bushfield staff just shrugged their shoulders and said "what can you do?"
I'll tell you what - provide some secure locks that don't crumble when kicked may be a start?
Dont suppose anyome knows if the FA or Council should have insurance for this do they? Bushfields said they dont but surely they have to have insurance of some type as a council? we pay good money for the facilitites etc......
Sorry to hear about the thefts, but arent there disclaimers saying something like 'we accept no responsibility for theft or damage etc' so doubt there will be insurance for this. Not being funny sean but everyone knows how notorious Bushfield is for things like this.
I for 1 never left anything in the changing rooms at Bushfield or Bretton park or even Werrington

The get out clause on the wall as you enter negates the need for insurance.
Thieving scum :gun:

Sean sorry to hear what happened mate, this kind of thing has happened to me twice in 8 years once in Castor and once in Whittlesey and sorry to say that there is no cover. I got of lucky only losing some money but some of the guys had car, house keys, wallets with all cards and fair amount of money, rings, chains etc and mobile phones. The league wont offer anything as compensation. Just one of these things you gotta take on the chin
As for the police well lets not get into that one.

yeah similar thing happened to The Angel Inn lads at Bushfields last year. Theiving scum had bags away from the sidelines whilst we played....
Would just love to catch em at it.... or perhaps not thinking about it!
The locks at Bushfield were a joke, we noticed (after the event) that they'd simply nailed another bit of wood to the frame to hold the lock after it had obviously happened before - surely if it's happened to that door before then they should secure it properly to prevent it happening again, maybe get some welding done on it??
Ahh well it's done now..
If anyone happens to hear anything gimme a shout, EMAP footy and tracksuits knocking about wont be hard to miss - kit is a bit like the Fulham strip and tracksuits all black and all with the RED EMAP logo on, Large CHROMA SPORTS holdall and 4 or 5 pairs of boots... might be dumped somewhere I suppose!
NETHERTON: What happened lads?? Bad day at the office or are Lord Burleigh a decent outfit??
Close game between Jubes/Racing.Very under strengthed teams feilded by both and thought we did enough to scrape a draw to be honest.
A penalty conceeded by Tyler and then losing our goalkeeper for last 15 mins didnt help our cause. And it was a blatant pen no matter how much tyler protests!!
A sign on the wall stating a company or person 'takes no responibility for stolen or damaged possessions' is a load of rubbish, that sign means absolutely nothing, the only reason it is there is to make people think they have zero chance of claiming anything from the sports centres insurance. It works 99% of the time as most people have never found out what the law is. This happened to us Stilton boys in our last two home games, some dirty rat stole £70 from one unlucky guy the first week, and then loads of peoples money the second time, including £50 from one bloke. What you need to do is phone cambs police (0845 4564564) and get a crime number, (it has to be one of the victims of the crime who phones) once you have this number you can claim money from Bushfields insurance. We are claiming against Stanground at the moment and barring any strange get out clause (Sign is not one) the lads should get their money back.

Gazza,
A relative of mine said just about the same thing to be honest and thats why I've posted on here to see if anyone else knew more...
We already have that number and my lads are calling in today to list the stuff they had stolen (they'd gone home by the time the police arrived yesterday).. once done they'll issue us a Crime Number and then I will indeed be calling Bushfield and asking for their full insurance policies and details of each...
It turns out the same changing room door was repaired from when the same thing happened previously, there is a strong case for negligence now seeing as they must insure it's repaired to a good enough standard to stop it happening again, they should also have made everyone using that room know that this happened previously and repairs were made etc...
We dont want to blame others but some of our lads aren't covered by their home insurance and are out of pocket in a big way, surely the council insurance should pick this up!
You definitely can claim from somebody, as far as i know Bushfield will have insurance to cover this, it may even be law. I'll speak to one of our lads and find out how his claim is coming along.
Lord Burghley are a good side who will certainly take points of many sides if they get that team out every week.
Both sides tried to play good footy but unfortunetly Netherton just were not at the races on the day - fully deserved win for Lord Burghley!
Think the league could be very open and go to the wire.
Break from the league this week with a home tie in the Northants Cup so hopefully we can bounce straight back.

nipper said it last week;
we need to make better use of my pace if we are too unpick sides like LB
it's the way forward.....
LB played bery well, good side, and hairy you spot on, a much closer league than we've had in years...
Brillant win for JNE Sun and shut the old boys up !! :soo: Even better that Tyler gave the Pen away!! Fair play nipaldo for being honest - just wish I was there to see it.
Seems people doing there best not to want to get a lead on us as we struggling at the moment but a few due back in next couple of weeks and bad loss for Posh Boys on Sunday as although Lord Burghley a good side at home they will not be so good away - just my opinion!!

BOTN
You should be able to claim something, as the agreement to use the changing rooms is made at front desk (which isn't the same building as where the sign is).
Therefore because you didn't see the usual 'leave your belongings here at your own risk' sign when the agreement was made then they should cough up some money for your lads.
And as you say to try and fix a door with a poxy bit of wood is negligent as well.
It is always worth ago mate to get some money back, too many cases like this get left. But one word of advice, playing for Bretton based teams for most of my football, never leave anything in a changing room from now on.

Fair play to JNE for taking the points as thats all that matters, but I think the penalty was suspect as Tyler slid along side Brownie and there was no contact (Had a good veiw) & Brownie went down. But all strikers do it and we would of wanted the pen the other end so no complaints, no complaints about the sending off either but we had the better chances but just did not take them so thought we deserved at least a draw. Should be a better match next time when both teams should be at full strengh.
"Shut the old boys up".......didnt think anythings been said??You making up porky pies in that world of yours??!!
Why weren't you there JNE?? Bottle it!! Or was the missus on the warpath!!??
