What a funny day saturday was: we set off from power league heading towards wellingboro, got as far as the extra services off the A1, to come to a crawl due to a potato lorry overturned on the roundabout....
Anyway we finally arrive at wilby fc and to be fair they have a decent lillte set up apart from the pitch being on a slope.
The game kicks off at 2 pm and within 5 mins we should have been 1 up, but the decision was given offside, even though the player that was deemed to be offside wasnt interfering with play. After 15 mins of good pressure we strangely find ourselves going 1-0 down due to some poor defending. Within 2 mins of conceding we are back on level terms. From then on it was a case of how many would we score as we totally dominated the game. Goals from Eddie lungay, Ben Ferguson, Trevor Bragg & Dave sandford (2), secured a 1-5 win.
After the game we went back to wilby fc's local for what we though would be a quite pint or 2, only to watch 1 of the wilby players jumping across a table and start laying into some lad, the fight continued in the pub carpark and was eventually broken up by 2 psl lads...few minutes pass by and we learn that the 2 lads were in fact brothers...so for a good day out go to wilby :lol:
A good away performance, just need to take this on into the league now and hope we keep pushing in the right direction.
