Our confidence should be high after a convincing win last saturday ( even tho some people will say it was only uppingham res ), going away from home with a bare 11 ( not my strongest 11 either ) and scoring 6 n keeping a clean sheet. So boys i expect another good performance n 3 points this saturday!!

Agree with you totally Bratts have a feeling its going to get worse before it gets better for us. Perkins are a good side I only hope the lads start to learn from their errors our next few fixtures Perkins, Eynesbury and Needingworth are all going to be trying. We got a young side so quite happy for them to experience the highs and lows of football but confident we can establish ourselves over the season in this league when we return from a couple of weeks out through county cups.

Slim - have to agree wiv you reagrding our inconsistency, but with near enough an unchanged team from last week and players back from holiday n injuries we can hopefully wipe that out n start putting together good consistent results. Best of luck to you lee, like slim says if you can get at there defence with pace you may have a chance, our game may have only been a friendly against them, but to beat a team with there record was a good achievement, like i say it was only a fiendly but you wouldnt have thort that, just ask lee goodes.

Bratts & slim Bratts - You have a chance if you go at them with pace!!! Does conceding nil mean our old slow back four have done a good job?? Crap first half, we were really poor (although i have to say i was very impressed with a youngish! alconbury side) but after a good rollocking at half time my pensioners realised they had a game to play in and after about 15 mins of the second half the result was in no doubt. Please have a go at us again bratss and slim bratts, it does us good. Oh and by the way hope we draw you in one of the cups and then we will see how unimpressive a side we really are!!!

Budda - i never said you was an unimpressive side!! I actually paid you a compliment by saying we did well to beat a team with your record. As for your defence being slow, i have to say we have come up against quicker defenders than yours and scored goals!! I also said our game was only a friendly and on the day we beat you down to the fact we took our chances and you didnt, if we had took all our chances and vice versa the game could have easily finished 8-8.

I hope we do draw you in a cup, that way we can see what we are up against next season in combi 1 ( being optimistic that we will be there ).
And with a bit of luck some of your players may play the game the way it should be ( as there will be an official ref ).

Anyway have a good season ( you old sods ), hope to see you in a cup!! If not hopefully combi 1 next season.

Did not mean to upset you Kenny just being honest we played crap against you and beat you so a cup draw would be great.

I did say you were not that impressive because you were 'n t, but it was just a friendly and i did say your record from last season was good... so it was hardly slagging your lot off that much. But you will also find that ive slagged my own team off quite a bit on here.

If you want to take it that way to 'fire your boys up' then great, if it gets you wins, one of um was certainly like it in the 'friendly' against us throwing girly punches.

Maybe you were not slow at the back, our forwards were just very quick. Good luck for the season big man.

I would also like to apologise for moaning about playing in a reserve league as Crowland proved yesterday there are a lot of good teams in these divisions and they ran us ragged and were unlucky to lose 4-1 to be honest

Have to agree slim bratts, crowland deserved something from the game ( second half ), the first 20 mins of the 1st half it was fairly even, then we decided to move the ball about and slowly broke crowland down, i think the fact that we scored 3 goals in a 15min spell towards the end of the 1st half knocked the wind out of there sails. But come 2nd half we allowed them to play and get back into the game, its hard to say if they were as good as us or did we just not get going? There consolation goal is one to be judged as their player was clearly 6 yards offside, but our linesman was slow in raising his flag and the ref allowed it. Not going to grumble about that as we got what we wanted, 3 points, but we have got to learn to play for a full 90mins instead of playing for 45 mins.

I think combi div 2 wont see a better individual goal scored than what our cf eddie scored, he picked the ball up inside his own half, ran at 4 crowland defenders, beat them all n then slotted the ball home in the bottom corner, great individual goal.

Cup game next week away near wellingboro against WILBY, anybody know anything about them?

ive played against there saturday team couple of years ago, if they still have 1. what they had then wasent much to be honest. not very well organised with missmatching kit no warm up & a few smelling of light beverages?
its always hard to tell though from 1 year to another teams change so much, but this lot seemed to be good mates & defenertly drinking buddies so it might be the same lads, in which i fancy your chances
