Not bad predictions there Dave must have done them at the same time.
I think your game tomorrow will give you an early indication of your chances of finishing top 3. I think you have a good chance would be nice to see a team move quickly through the leagues, hopefully we can join you soon.

I was just reading down your predictions and thinking you forgot to change mine!!!

Mind you i'm normally wrong so don't expect too many correct ones in there!!!

It will be a big test for our squad. They consistently finish top 4 so will prove what we have or haven't got!!

One or two key injuries though for us, not making excuses as i think we should still have a good enough squad to compete! Am looking forward to the game, both teams like to play football so we will see!

You play for Stilton? If so, i am thinking you will be joining us next season in Division 1!!

CAFC Crofty

Hello Big Man!
Totally agree with ya buddy,we have the squad
to cope with people missing!

Remember if i come to watch,we both have to
refuse to drive and continue our 'chanting'
from the long journey last week!!

GAZZA
31-08-2007, 14:15
Yeah, it looks quite promising so far, don't want to get ahead of ourselves as we have made good starts every season for the last 3-4 years but never kicked on after christmas. I think our main improvement this season is that we have a strong squad whereas last year i think if we had a couple of players out it weakened us quite a lot.

Have you got Kev for the whole season? there was a rumour last year he could'nt play every game, would be a big miss.

Good luck Saturday, looking forward to that result.

2morrow

you lot are having a laugh about the sawtry v stilton game!

one player doesn't make a team, that's all I'll say.

it'll be a hard fought game and i'm gonna stick my neck out and say we'll win by the odd goal!

CoatesFC - Dave
31-08-2007, 14:42
Crofty - you better come down mate, take some snaps for the website mate!!

We will indeed continue the songs!!

Gazza - Kev went training somewehere to play with hosepipes and stuff, so he could not play at weekend for last 4 or 5 weeks. He is now back every weekend so should be available (touch wood!!!).

Simplyme - heard all this last season mate, i am going on the basis that last season i felt you two were on par and i know of them strengthening and havent heard much bout u boys. Fancy it to be close, but will stick with 3-1 Stilton. Go and prove us all wrong buddy!!

GAZZA
31-08-2007, 14:42
You're 100% right there mate, I hear you don't play on the pitch outside the pavilion anymore and you're on the little one up the far end? Whats that all about. Should be a good game looking forward to it. I hear Trev ate all your food last week, Fat F#@k.

What do you think will give you the edge tomorrow 2morrow?

2morrow
31-08-2007, 21:22
i believe we have a stronger side than last year with more strength in depth: jay & neil bohonis, andy neal, jon-paul schofield, matt rayson, jim davis and calvin brown to name a few.

as for tomorrow, well yes they've got mr baines and he's a great player. but i sense our lads are well up for it as all we've heard so far this season is stilton this, stilton that. i've not seen them keyed up for a game like this for a long time.

put it one way we're quietly confident and happy to be underdogs.

Harbs
31-08-2007, 22:04
We will see tomorrow, the last people to say they were looking forwards to a game being the underdogs and they are better than they are gettin credit for... gt a tougher game than they bargained for.
Besides who cares if they have Bainsey Chelsea have SUPER FRANK LAMPARD but doesnt mean they will win every game... just most of them :snt:

Sawtry 2 Stilton 5

Great performance from the boys yesterday was looking bad at 2-0 down at half time think half time coluldnt come quick enough 4 us! a motivated choose of words from our skipper at half time seem to wake everyone as he is usually quiet as anythin! 2nd half was all one way traffic with everyone givin 120% and think the win was fully deserved!

also great to see us supported so well must of took between 70-80 people to sawtry glad we didnt disapoint!!! plenty of :bub: after few sore heads this morning

any other results?

Should've been a lot more, but we we under-par on the day. At least they got a team down and we played the game.

Real march had a great game on Saturday. We could of scored a lot more goals but we didn't take our chances.

It’s the first time in the clubs history we've kept a clean sheet.

We are confident about saturdays game against sawtry. I think we can get a good result there!

Our midfield is very very strong. With zeke and myself winning a lot of balls and feeding the front two.

Castor had a really good result. They are very good upfront. Chatteris are looking like they are going to finish bottom.

Good result for you boys? But sounds like it won't be a one off!!

03-09-2007, 10:34
yeah i didn't score i was on the right wing for all of the game but i had 3 one on ones with the keeper and instead of blasting it in the corner every time i just laid it off to my mate who got a hat trick. he had a open goal every time.

plus me and zeke are a good patnership in midfield. we're pretty solid

we have sawtry this week then guyhirn in the cup twice then emneth seniors so that will be a test for us.

the players are all still gutted the manager got sacked though.

CoatesFC - Dave

I'm hearing rumours of players being paid several hundred pounds in signing fees, or at least promised as such. At Peterborough League Two that's madness and I can still see the likes of Eye and Stiton finishing above them.

What's this managers info an is he still interested in involvement with other clubs?

If Managers are paying players at this level there mad.

It should be about the crack and moving forward as a team.

i think its crazy if managers are payin people to play at this level, although think the gaffers shud get their wallets out in the bar after games!!

how do you get wind of a roumour like that.
there is not a chance anyone is being paid money to play in the league and if they are maybe its a loan to help someone out.
for £400 i will keep your bench warm i dont complain or anything... well only a little in the winter but i dont like the cold.

Harbs, I've heard it from friends of players who are actually turning out to play. One or two would be playing in teams I have contacts with, but the £ factor has taken them to Christchurch. It is about as reliable as I can get without turning up to training myself to find out. I wouldn't be able to find the ground anyway...
