We were outstanding yesterday, beating Somersham 3-0 when it should have been double figures in the Hunts Senior Cup. Great first half from Glen Bolden, who scored after 4 minutes before getting injured. 2nd from Lee Ayres, before an incredible 25 yard HEADER from Teddy Paling to cap a fantastic individual performance.

I think Eddie Patten must be kipping around big Ron's house - just lately he has producing side splitting comments like "we are really sucking on diesel now boys!"

Side have responded well to my first ever public criticism a couple of weeks ago and I may finally have selection headaches in the next few weeks.

How did everyone else do in the County Cups?

Perkins went down 1-0 to Rushden Rangers.

We were the best team from start to finsh, whole team including subs played out of their skins.

Hit the post, had 2 claims for a penalty and to rub salt into our wounds Clive Brown scored a cracking header only to be cheated by their linesman for offside.

No hard feelings to Rushden but for a strong ref and offical linesman we would have ran out worthy winners.

Rumours of our demise are greatly exaggerated - Whittlesey won 4:3 against Soham Reserves, with Whittlesey down to 9 men on the field (all subs used, one off injured, one off with two yellows).
Biggest disappointment was that not one of their players had a drink after the game - C'mon guys, win or lose doesn't hurt to have one pint - show a liltte respect to the guys behind the scenes, our man Trevor Bass, is what local football should be about. Wouldn't hurt for the various leagues to emphasise the point either- not advocating best buddies and all that, just respect for the real clubman, that all of our clubs need, and who are vital to the future of all our clubs.

Perhaps you should practice what you preach Bluestar. Two seasons ago when you were running Whittlesey Reserves I asked if you and your players would be coming to the Windmill at Orton after our game at the school. You said yes I ordered food and not one of your squad turned up including you. :soo: :soo:

Mr Judge, remember the day very well, believe we got a good thrashing. Don't remember talking to you, try to avoid it if truth be known, I prefer to keep a smile on my face and you are just too full of moaning and complaining, do you ever have anything positive to say?
Apologise if food was ordered and my guys didnt turn up, win or lose that's one of the points I am keen to emphasise. ask Ramsey Reserves!!! - reason I too can be so specific about the game you mention is because family illness prevented me going anywhere after.
Look forwards to being able to buy you a pint at home and away this season - and I will happily pay for any food my guys dont turn up for!!!!

I think it is you who were moaning about Soham so nothing new there. If that was your excuse I am surprised you couldnt remember it when the invitation was made.
