Gadzooks - heard that Coates won't be appearing this year plus one other.
PSMFL called a meeting for 28/8/07, probabably going to shift everyone about at last moment

where'd ya get that info mate?

That sounds very interesting. Who knows BOTN, after your sides performance against JNE the other weekend maybe you'll be going in the prem after all !!!

hahahaha Big S - I doubt that! if JNE had their full 1st team and a couple of subs we'd have been in more trouble I reckon, it was a good game though...
If Coates are goiong that would just mean we're down to 10 in our league, thats still an improvement on last season?
It's a bit worrying though that someone is talking about an AGM for the PSMFL on the 28th but we've heard nothing from the league!!!! :soo:
Would surely be an EGM not AGM? Best be PDQ though as the PSMFL is due to KO in Sept so decisions need to be ASAP for the FA to be A-Ok. :bst:

I've just emailed the PSMFL Committee and asked them to either Confirm or Deny this rumour...
the 28th is 4 days away so if they have called a meeting surely we should have all heard by now??? all very cloak and dagger

Just read this. . . .
dint even know our Sunday side
weren't happening!!
Anyone need a midfielder!
I think thats disappointing for the Whittlesey end of the world. No Sunday morning team for the local lads.
Not sure of the details of why it hasn't happened but if there is anything that can be done at very short notice to resolve the problem we will endeavour to try to resolve the problems, if it means giving an outlet for local lads to play football.
Just for info. this was the Fitzjohn side from last year that was made up of Coates and Whittlesey lads. We (Coates) offered to take some of the burden of running the team i.e. Sec, Treas etc. but it doesn't seem to have gone any further.
If anyone from the league wants to get in touch, please do.

its very strange that to have all that help offerd that there isent a team!
alot of peterborough teams struggle to get that but still run a team, and with the good organisation that seems to come from coates it would be great for a team?
a real shame i think the league always benefits from fresh clubs comming in to shake things up

Do you really expect the PSMFL to respond to rumours on this site after the witch hunt you all initiated only a few months ago? Besides, why would they need to notify the clubs if the committee was to have a meeting?

Andy.... who are you mate?
You mention a witch hunt??? I dont recall ever seeing one in progress!!!
If you're on about the league clubs all being denied a chance to vote on something they wanted too at a recent AGM then thats completely different to a witch hunt isnt it???
Perhaps if you actually knew the facts you'd be better informed and less likely to post daft comments such as your last one :soo:
We just heard a rumour on here, not posted by me I hasten to add, that the PSMFL were due a meeting and that Coates were no more - I posted a reply and asked if it was true thats all.... anything wrong with that?
I then emailed the committee to see what they thought of the rumour so they could answer 1st hand, nowt wrong with that is there ANDY????
Some people just cant help but stir things up
Those with less manners would call you a tw*t Andy. I will just agree that your comments are a little 'out there' !!
Coates Sunday have never been so ........ can't be no more.
Whatever has happened in the past has been put aside so we can get on with our football for another year. If we go about holding grudges and vendetas then where will it end.
I don't care what they want to call themselves, Fitzjohn or Coates. Just think that W'sey lads should have a Sunday morning team. Too much talent to go to waste.
Those with less manners would call you a tw*t Andy. I will just agree that your comments are a little 'out there' !!
Why so? I'll accept the 'you all' part of my posting was a tad mis-leading. However, i'll maintain that after the events of this summer, i find it incredulous that the committee would be approached to confirm or deny a rumour on this site. That's all. No more and no less.

Is this a certain gent by the name of Nick??? I'd bet a pint it is
Andy, I think that PSMFL have lost a great deal of credibility, through their miscommunication of information and the absence of some transparency in the way they work. The committee needs to embrace sites like this one and learn from them - for this is the way that their members find it easiest to communicate.
A famous quote goes: "The law can only be applied to those who don't understand it" and if people have not received accurate communication from the PSMFL in the past, then they will expect it again. This includes some clubs not receiving vital paperwork or being in receipt of mixed/confusing feedback from the PSMFL.
For this reason ALL the clubs would like clarification as to any meeting or lack of therefore.
PS - we still love you, but would love you more if you were more receptive to criticism and maybe a free beer at the next AGM?

So where and when do i get my pint?
Please don't think i'm being deliberately obtuse or contrary, however i did ask the question on here months ago about what was wrong with the committee and why clubs were unhapy and no-one responded. NapoliChelsea has pretty much just answered it, so thanks to him. And, for the record, i agree with him about sites like this. They should be used to canvas opinions and attitudes.

just a reply about the old fitzjohn/new coates sunday side. through out the summer i have worked with the league to resolve several issues which we had left from last season. we have got these sorted but has left us a race against time, i have twenty players signed on for the new season. i didnt realise that we have been kicked out the issues i was resolving was weather we had enough time to get our cash of for affiliation and league entry, before i put 20 names foward as if i do and the club did fold they are all suspended by there relevent county. i have not had great contact with coates this has been down to getting answers to problems before aqquiring fees from them.

Why is everyone having a go at each other. It remionds me of the AGM when the "baddies" won :gun:
The PSMFL meeting is a pre-season committee meeting, probably called to deal with the demise of Fitzjohn & Ingle and one other (anyone have any idea who it might be) :pty:
At the AGM it was 1 x 10 team division(Prem) and 3 x 11.
With 2 more teams pulling out perhaps the league may have to revert to 3 x 10 divs and 1 x 11. If it means a couple of clubs moving around so be it. If it means the league keep their promise of bigger better divisions.
All I hope is that they ring or e-mail everyone and don't leave it to this website/the grapevine or good old Royal Mail to let us know in time for the seasons kick-off.
Then of course we have to wait for a ref to turn up - If they can be bothered to get up :nwy:

Has anyone heard anything from the league to say if games are defo on for the weekend? referee situations etc?
thought you knew
"had it confirmed by the league - it's defo scheduled for the 2nd Sept.
unless weather halts play of course!"
I hear that the league is struggling for Referees and quite a few games on the original fixture list could well be off, I haven't seen official confirmation yet but it looks as that will be right. :soo: Emap's game is off.
Good result for you then Mick
Not really Spec, will enjoy the lie in, but I was looking forward to the first game. Things going quite well at EMAP, good bunch of lads. Our first league game will now be Royal Mail AYL. Couldn't be much tougher but I know that I won't have to motivate the lads for this game, if you can't be up for this one then your wasting your time. Look forward to seeing some old pals. Don't be late Hemps
You certainly won't having him terrorising your wingers Mick after he broke his tibia on Friday night. Poor old boy. Really playing well this season and that happens. Gutted for him. 6 weeks in plaster.
Really gutted to hear that. Who was he playing for and against whom ? Give him my best wishes, hope he makes a speedy recovery, local football will miss him, I know I will.Is he at home or in hospital ?
Funny how it's EMAP FC who they can't find a ref for on the opening day . . . viva democracy!

JNE's game is off due to no ref as well, its a disgrace really!!
I was looking forward to kicking you poofs all over the park as well Super Jube  That means I am going to have to go out now Saturday night and get p***ed instead of an early night and cocoa, all of a sudden I am warming to the PSMFL commitee
are you sure you meant "all over the park" spec?! it's been a few years since you was all over the park.. perhaps you should go for kicking the poofs all over the penalty area!! got to set your sites lower now your getting on in years.
Slippers and Cocoa on a Saturday night, you'll be buying a pipe next Spec :lol:About as much chance as you liking a certain PSMFL committee member. :burger: To be fair Napoli(What a daft name) The PSMFL did comment that both Sean and the Pren Dec manager were away on hols this Sunday so they thought it might suit both teams. At least it gives you another week to work on your weight problem Napoli
Sorry for the delay Mick. He did it last Friday away at Eyensbury playing for PNS Res. Back at home now.
Thanks for that mate, rang him yesterday and had a chat, seems in good spirits and confident of returning, which is good to hear.
Weight problem? Cheeky b*stard! Hasn't stopped me running like a Lamborghini on a Saturday MickeyB - got another goal last week, you should pop down and watch me bag another against Peterborough City at Woodlands on Sat!
Hanks, I'm fit as fcuk now, got my gym up and running at home, speed ball, running machine, 2 punch bags, only problem is it's next to the kitchen and as Roger Daniels always said about me I wish he could pass the kitchen like he could pass a ball
