sparky, dont think i know you, but what club are you associated with?

Hate to burst your bubble but i think you will find stilton will top div 2 this season with eye sports n social a close 2nd.

sparky

i play for a team in the 2 div. i am a young striker for one of the teams. eye sports aren't that good, how you think they will be near the top i don't know.

i heard real march drrew with parson droves first team. so thats why they are up there near the top. aparently they got some good players, ex chelsea/posh.

ummmm but stilton will have a good season.

chatteris are rubbish and will be near the bottom. i've played against march st marys twice last year and score 3 goals in each of the games

Eye will not finish there - if they turn up!!! - (they never showed for our friendly)

I can't see Sawtry winning the league, think they'll be top 5 but not win it!

As for Real March, i hope it works out for then as they are trying but think consolidation should be good enough for them this season and then move forward next.

I agree with Bratts, Stilton for me this year!

Will be close though i am sure of that!!

CoatesFC - Dave
17-08-2007, 10:04
Manea will not be far behind either!!

Heard their new striker Yido is Awesome!!

On a serious note, he scored plenty for us last year in this division and will do the same for Manea this year too!!

simplyme
17-08-2007, 10:13
Sparky what makes you think they are not that good?

It is a very different team to last year now Gino has taken over. Few prem players are in there along with a few mates who are all very good players.

I'm with my ole mucker 'BIG Dave' on this one!

Stilton to be champions, Eye to cement second,
then one from Sawtry, Manea, Doddington and
my outside tip. . . . . Warboys to be third!

Gonna be a good season,glad we're outta
there Dave!!

17-08-2007, 10:32
Eye will be up there for sure, we beat em 2-0 but were lucky to hold on pre-season,
they have the quality and once Gino whips em into shape they'll be banging goals in for sure!
I believe they have the Clarke brothers currently signed and they will tear teams apart in that league if they stay in the team and stay fit!

sparky
17-08-2007, 10:33
I just think they'll struggle they did at the end of last season. but if they have made big improvements as you say then they may do well.

my last name is anderton

you'll see who i play for when you see who scores this weekend , i'm sure i'll get a few for my team.

i've played for kirkley / lowestoft

bratts
17-08-2007, 10:36
Kirkley? / lowestoft , means nothing to me ( no dis-respect ), why dont you just come out n say what team you are playing for?

lowestoft / kirkley = rigdeons premier league mate!!!!

you'll see who i play for when the goals start going in,

I'd say he plays for Real March!!!!!!

CoatesFC - Dave
17-08-2007, 10:49
My bet Mr Anderton is that you play for Sawtry!!

And my reasoning is........Last year all we heard from them on here was how they was gonna do this and that, but they never did.

Don't get me wrong, they are a good team and a good bunch of lads but their walking didnt match their talking last season!

I don't understand all these people who come on forums as different alias'! Be yourself, everyone is entitled to their opinion and shouldnt be shot down for it!

As the old saying goes.....Be a Man my son!!

17-08-2007, 10:51
well you would be right , well done that man,

since the friendlies where we got hammered we have had 2 really good results and that was with a good squad. with few subs.

when we got hammered we had 20 plays.

we will do well and with myself upfront / zeke rowe (ex chelsea / peterborough utd / a great keeper as the back bone to the team we will turn alot of heads. plus we have a 2 young skillful wingers.

our team has alot of pace.

we not just turning up each saturday, we mean bussiness. we will compete for the promotion places.

who do you lot play for

CoatesFC - Dave
17-08-2007, 10:54
I'm guessing crofty wins with Real March then!!

Didn't Zeke play last year for a couple of games!!

How many of last years squad is still there? Like i said elsewhere mate, i admire you for your ambition etc although i think you should be happy with a good consolidation season this season and go up next year!!

Too much growth/progression too soon can be a killer!!

All the best tho bud, i will keep an eye on this division for def!

bratts
17-08-2007, 10:54
Well i am guessing as it says ' Coates ' on crofty's & dave's profile i am assuming they are something to do with coates :soo:

As for me, i manage psl reserves and hung my playing boots up end of last season due to a bad injury.

CoatesFC - Dave
17-08-2007, 10:55

now crofty is going up against the big boys in division 1, i think they will do well.

but theyd be better playing somewhere better that manor lesuire, the pitches aint wide enough for your type of play.
i bet you do ok away from home & could get some good results

ecept against the jube!

bratts
17-08-2007, 11:06
Dave, psl is going great mate, i'm loving it!! Some new players as well as a few lads that played for me at farcet, a young squad. I have high expectations of them this season and they know this and hopefully they perform.

Yes there was a possibility of me coming over to you guys for this season, but after meeting with al n everyone at PSL, i decided that is where i wanted to go.

Is Liam still playing at coates?

CAFC Crofty
17-08-2007, 11:07
Haha! Yep its about time Macca!

Only took me til i was 23!
Defo agree with the Manor, shocking pitches
come winter!

Suprised you never thought about coming Coates
Macca, you still got alot to offer,as your 30
yard left foot volley proved last Saturday! :nwy:

maccaceltic
17-08-2007, 11:10
well i maybe older & slower but the size of the goal aint changed lol.
& you know me left right 10,20,30 yards it dont matter i will score.

& coates is a team i would be very interested in playing for its very close nit team, but you play at the manor which i dont rate as a pitch or a facility.
otherwise i would have given it a try

CoatesFC - Dave
17-08-2007, 11:14
That was a dam good goal Macca mate!

Whats up with the hand? I agree with you about those pitches at the Manor, they're not good!! But we are not bad at adjusting our style and not many teams leave the fortress with points!! Don't think we'll be getting a new home in the near future, but we can always dream!

Bratts,

Pleased its going well for you mate! Don't blame you for that choice mate, our no gain is there gain!!

I reckon Mr Anderton played for them last year, i vaguely remember his name popping up a few times for them!

Sparky. I take it your name is Mick Anderton?

What new players have you got? I read in the paper that the only new players you have are Zeke Rowe (who played a few last season) and that you are interested in Jermaine Watson. I know Jermaine quite well, but I have yet to see him be consistent though age is on his side. Definately has ability but has he signed? I would point out that from what I know, several players have stayed on from last season - and you did not set the league alight by any means. So, if you've brought in a lot of new players, it could be exciting times ahead.

Steve Dickinson scores goals, but did leave part way last season. I may well have come down training had you not of moved to Christchurch, and things like box nets and boot cleaning stands are not going to attract players. If the club is truly intent on moving through the leagues, then there is going to be a big turnover in players, thats for sure.

I haven't yet signed for March St. Marys as due to a wedding, holiday and work I am unable to play until October at best. I have however signed for a new team in the Cambs League as they have put together an interesting squad and could well win something. They look to have a decent team, in a low standard league. That said, I still can't play for them until October at least.

WE HAVE SIGNED JERMAINE AND WE HAVE ALOT OF NEW PLAYERS ACTUALLY WE ONLY HAVE ABOUT 4 PLAYERS FROM LAST YEAR. IT WILL BE EXCITING THATS FOR SURE. ZEKE ONLY PLAYED 4 GAMES LAST SEASON. BUT ONE OF THEM WE WERE BEATING GUYHIRN WITH TEN MINS TO GO. THEN CONSEEDED 2 LATE GOALS. ZEKE WAS INJURED HALF WAY THROUGH THAT GAME.

WE HAVE DEFINATELY CHANGED ALOT

So then sparky , how was your game vs warboys then ?? what were they like ?? was it a close game or was 5-2 a one sided affair ??

we played over at march st marys WIND SWEPT field. give um thier do their manager said he had 7 1st team players out (teilo that must mean you 2 mate) and they aquitted themselves quite well, but to be honest we were always in control ( and thats not slating MSM ) cuz i dont do that ! striker inzzy gets a well deserved first half hatrick, along with danny catz adding to the scoreline.4-1 h/t. 2nd half came out the blocks well and continued where we left off . i was very pleased with some influential per4mances, especially Mr bootboy and the ever so dirty tackler Napoli chelsea :whs: ..all in all a good day out good 3 points, MSM neva gave up to thier credit and i do belive that they will def improve in the fourthcoming weeks.

The Game
19-08-2007, 12:31
judging by the results stilton are DEF title contenders !!!! mr baines grabbing a double hatrick (greedy git)

good win for Gino and his lads up at eye !!!!

do i take it benwick have really improved over the close season ??

Manea are the fenland dark horses, 7-0 drubbing of p'boro city !!!

warboys overcame the tough challenge of REAL MARCH !

sawtry kept a clean sheet against doddington.

langtoft won aswell !!!!

carefree
19-08-2007, 12:34
well i think what real march are trying to do is great, and hope they are succesful, its a shame there are so many of you bitching about it, i would love to have the same kinda set up at PSL.

as a chelsea fan find it shocking that you boys are slating zeke. he has done things that you boys can only lay in bed at night and dream about, why he isn't still playing at a decent level i don't know, and if he has lost it a bit so what! he has pulled on the blue shirt of chelsea! i watched him play against fulham res (the season before he came to posh on loan) in which he scored a fantasic goal when he was all but a young kid.

good luck to REAL MARCH and keep up the good work lads.

Teilo
19-08-2007, 18:17
I spoke to one of my mates who played for MSM 1st team Sat. They could only get 11 players together as they also had to field a reserve team for Rutland away. What he did say is that while there were several missing, Castor were too good on the day even though it was 1-1 at some point. MSM have had some indifferent pre season scorelines but when at full strength they did lose to Guyhirn (who were at full strength) by one goal. That says to me that they will be fairly solid.

Benwick have improved on last season and have a few players that can score. Their new manager is fairly organised and a good motivator. However a finish out of the bottom 3 would be seen as a good seasons work. Chatteris FT have lost a lot of players and although I like and have played with and for their new manager before, I fear for a very tough season ahead.

Too early to predict how Real March's season will pan out. Warboys are fallen 'giants' from the Eastern Counties League and I don't know enough to be sure if they would ever attract those quality players back. However the last 2 seasons I've not been overly impressed by them. I was told yesterday by one of the lads that a Real March player was on 40 quid a game. That's staggering at this level and if true will generate a lot of interest...

Big G
20-08-2007, 07:58
Not sure what they were like last season. We totally controlled the game from the start, should have been 4 or 5 by half time (first game nerves) but came in 0-0. Second half much the same got 3 but this score could have been double figures.

Still have 4/5 players to come back into the squad, missing one or two key men but more than happy with the start.

3pts and a clean sheet, we move on and look forward to Saturday

Morning Biffa,

I did wonder what you were doing this year and even got your number from Ako to see if your fancied playing in comb 1 but obviously you have found your place.

Yes was good to see you all again and as for scoring past me i was asleep on the sidelines before Ben asked if I would go on hence the 3 goals i let in in 3 mins I didn't expect to be playing to say the least.

Should be a close league obviously Stilton have proved that they are the team to beat will teams like benwick and chat last the whole season if they are getting pounded like that week in week out?

Our 1st team want to do well this season obviously with new managers and training etc also with the whole squad at his disposal (1 club, 43 members etc) we should do ok, we were beating you 3-1 until I came on....

I think benwick will last the season, they got pounded most weeks last season and to their credit they stayed on last season. On both occasions when farcet played them and beat them, they came off the pitch smiling. I think they are a credit to the league and themselves, how many people on here ( honestly ) would stay at a club where they are getting battered every week.

Yeah i still think that, it was a good game but mistakes cost us.

You can tell your 3 in midfield have played al a higher level and still could!! as they bossed the game.

But with a few players out and not starting strongest team it wasnt a bad game.

What happen to you?

Thats my view but im sure you dont see that harbs, You will be top or second at the end of season like i said from the start anyway.

Was a good game and you was the better team on the day.

Gino has done great to turn the team around.

Many thank Yido.

Enjoyed the game, both teams worked really hard. Thought we statred the game very strong and controlled it till half time. Came in 1 up and could have been more. Second half was much different, Manea pushed forward more and put our back line under some good pressure which was good for me to see how they handled that. Thought we still had more of the ball and though we got 2 more goals you had the better chances.

Good luck for the rest of the season, its only just started and look forward to the return at ours.

hey Yido, not at all mate it was just to get your opinion really mate. i thought your number 10 was very good and a young left footer has a lot of talent just needs to release the ball a bit earlier.
if you had players missing then it is very promising.
i had to go off i was struggling. had man flu for 2 weeks.
we have good cover in the team tho so jenkins came on and did a good job in place.
Ebo and coxy were excellent for us yesterday if they carry on like that all season promotion will knocking. looking forwards to the season.

It pains me. We give you the nickname and you take it to Manea. I was suprised that you were well beaten, thought you would suprise many teams this season. Its clear that they have lost there strikers and had to replace them with you.

Still recovering from V ?

your team looked good but cant really say who is goig to finish in the top until we play each team or see some results.
baring that in mind you cant say it will be eye and maea top 2 when stilton have smashed their first 2 opps... should say so,ething to you??

Thanks for compliment Harbs, i'm the "had too many pies" No. 10 for Manea (unless you got the wrong number!!!). From what i see sat you boys should be right up there. Thats the best midfield i've played against in quite a few years. i think this season will be the most competetive div 2 has seen for a long while with 6 or more teams well capable of competeting for honours. Stilton, Sawtry, Eye, Warboys, Manea, Castor and probably more. It's good to see though. I don't know what everyone else thinks but when you have a league where the majority of teams can beat each other it's got to better, far more enjoyable when it's very competetive.

I score from 30 yards against Real March - and it goes down as a goal to Dan Catton, damn administrators!

This could be major gloat for Castor - as both Ballboy and I scored the goals!

Good luck with the season RMarch and thanks for a good, competitive and sporting game.

Napoli, i have to agree wid u , the real march game was a cracker !!
They have improved soooo much i personally think that they will surprise no end of teams at thier home games, can't see many teams getting 3 points (let alone find the pitch  ) really good to see a high speed and competative game , no real dirty tackling hard n fair 50-50 challenges.little bit of banter from sidelines aimed at the unit centre half, and each side calling both lino's cheats , apart from that a reall good game.Sparky you will do well this season, you just need to get the ball forward quicker to you guys up front and you will do well, that jerome guy was a bit :run:.he will cause no end of damage to opponents, along with zeke, who lets face it, STILL has somthing about him that distinguishes himself from the average joe bloggs. if you could find a c midfielder to work along with zeke you have cracked it . the guy with the yellow boots was outstanding, he neva gave up , workrate was relentless and was unlucky no to score.

Now, with 8 mins to go , i get the message to napoli hold the ball and attack the corners and hold it ( due to both teams tired and wiv da heat) plenty of room to do this, NO, Napoli decides to receive the ball on halfway line dribble a bit , send the defender the wrong way, cuts inside and then launchs and all mighty shot into the top left corner, all the way from the sideline and at least 35 yrds out !!! Amazing !!!!!!!! that made it 3-1 , but if it wern't for our keeper (evil) with a stunning tip on to the bar in the last min it good of been a diff result !!! good luck for the season Real March !!!!

For one Pearsey i wouldn't worry too much about Chappy as i don't think he will even come, the fitness thing i can understand but unfortuently mate there's only you who can sort that out. I personally think you put too much pressure on yourself which makes you all worked up and obviously effects your game. Yon know you've got the game it's just sorting your head out, i might be wrong just my opinoin. Good luck in whatever you decide my only advice is ,and i know you only young ,but take every opportunity you can to play football as the end of your playing days come round a lot quicker than you think!!!!!!!!!
