View Full Version : Friendly, langtoft v Psl Res
Just wanted to say thank you to Aiden n the lads at langtoft for todays friendly. We had a bare squad due to couple players getting called into work and 2 players not being available last minute.
langtoft were 2 - 0 up at half time and we had to start and play the 2nd half with 10 men due to one of our players going to the posh match.
But credit to both sets of players, firstly langtoft as they decided they would play the second half with only 10 players as well ( so thank you ) and to my lads for battling back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
Best of luck for the season to all at Langtoft

cheers bratts was a good game and well done to your boys
good luck to you lot aswell, funny how the game changed when jb left
talk about putting me on the spot!! lol, i cant answer that !!
Thanks also to our 1st team manager Al who came along to have a look and give the lads some words of encouragement and some advice to my number 2 who looked after the team as i was away.
bratts
 i just thought that too aiden. fair play to you for taking a player off to bring the numbers equal. jimmy posh match or not i wouldn't have stayed on anyway as i could barely walk and in the last 20 mins of the first half i was cheating the team due to me struggling with my thigh so they would have been better off without me even if langtoft had kept 11 men on!
sounds like a worthwhile run out all round so all helps.
Shock a team does better when JB leaves the pitch...he he he
Some things don't change i see.....
That's what several people said arfur lol...i believe JB has decided to move onto Alcolnbury ( well thats what he told me ), hope he finds what he is looking for in football there and i wish him all the best...

hahahaha you can't make it up!!!
He told me he was going to play for PSL 1st team at one point!
Brilliant !!!
 he came to psl to try n make the 1st team, never guna happen
But he played all but 10mins of the game saturday for alcolnbury 1st team.
do you mind talking about me  i actually said atty had retired from the psl 1st team so there was a left back slot available but i took too long after going back to netherton and deciding it wasn't for me and by the time i'd decided to go back to psl and try my luck one of jimmy's res's stepped in and from what i've seen of him he's been excellent(and those of you that know me will know that someone who plays in my position MUST be good for me to compliment them  ). i was more than happy to play for jimmy and played in the 1st teams friendlies against deeping and huntingdon so was happy to get a bit of a look in but after a phone call and a chat with my new club it was an offer i didn't want to turn down. i know jimmy was gutted and after he had calmed down  he wished me the best and understood.
there you go you can stop speculating now :blh:
And you called me Judas :soo: Seroiusly all the best JB, prove your old man wrong. Sorry to hear Atty is retiring, he has been a great player over the years, and has won almost all there is to win both on Sat and Sun football. Whinging old git though  Best of luck to you Paul.
JB - I wouldnt say i was 'Gutted' that you didnt sign
I was P****D that you didnt sign on the basis you told me at the start of pre-season you was signing. The only advantage you have gained by going to alconbury is you get to sit on the subs bench for a prem team instead of a Res Div 2 team
But good luck anyway mate lol....
