View Full Version : PIS versus AK 11
What's everyone's opinion on the abandoned cup final between PIS and AK Eleven back in April/May? :soo:
One opinion is that the team who were losing the game, caused a fight so as to cause the match to be abandoned and therefore prevent the other side lifting the trophy - what's your opinion? I have friends from both sides, so would be interested to hear what other people think.

Have played against both sides quite a few times and also a final against PIS and like in most teams there is the odd bad ball, but must say never had a problem with PIS. Ak well there a diff story they are a team that i find to be fine if things going with them but when they are not they become very aggressive and have to say quite a nasty set of players. But lets be honest about this for a cup final to be called off due to fans and players fighting is an absoloute disgrace and for me both teams should be fined, docked points and players involved banned for certain length of time. You only have to look at the PSL situation last year and what happened to there players and lets be fair there wasnt much of a situation!!!
I won't mention the fact that it was against Whittlesey the season before last (I was with PIS), that I went in for a challenge with one of your players where he went over the ball (which I won) and he came straight onto my ankle. The ref was a disgrace and didn't even stop the game for me, let alone give a free kick and nobody even helped me off the pitch. As a result I tore my ankle ligaments and damaged my achilles tendon and am only starting to get somewhere near the level I was before injury(2 years later) . . . but I suppose you can't tar the whole team with the same brush!
Are you still using that referee? He has some obsession with 'race' as well!

Napoli i understand u may be a litle annoyed that u were injured in a challange and i myself have broke my ankle playing football, but to come on here and publicly state that a ref is racist is not really a thing to do now is it!!! This could potentially open a massive can of worms and i did myself play in that game and from what i remeber there was no malice or intent in the challange infact think we were 7-0 up at halftime were we not!!! Maybe we should close this descussion before it gets silly.
Are you playing for PIS this year? Oh and as for nobody helping you of the pitch doesnt say much about your own team then does it!!

its a dangerous subject that i dont beleive is a fact. you sound like you have sour grapes, everybody gets a tackle that is reckless sometime in there career. i know ive been taken out many a time & referees have said play on its part and parcel of the game it happens.
i think your problem and alot of peoples problems is the ref. unfortunatly alot of people dont realise that your playing sunday afternoon football & you dont have premiership refs, its that simple! its a bad standard of football so why should the refs be any better?
Hello mate . . . I think you misconstrued my comments - the ref wasn't a racist, far from it - before the game he came into the changing room to explain that he wouldn't accept any racist behaviour from either side, but he went on about it for about 20 mins; which is why I said that he had an obsession with it.
You also make a good point about my team-mates not helping me off; you are all to blame you bad people! The ref should've given a foul though, let alone stop the game when he sees me writhing in agony on the pitch!
Good luck for the coming season, won't be playing with PIS as Saturday PM, Sun AM and Sun PM is just too much.

thats not funny it might come true, i have family to feed lol
i heard you tripped over your own feet Napoli! then when your team saw you squirming on the floor they thought you had pulled off a standard dive again :bst:
The only time I have tripped up playing football harbs, was when I was trying to emulate you . . . taking it around one player, then back around another, then around one of my team-mates and then lose it!
you over did it there abit when you passed the second person, thats my goal for this season! beat two players with the ball then complete a pass (to my own team) gotta start somewhere.
Doesn't sound like Sunday afternoon football is much fun?!
No mate, that's why I don't play anymore! I'd rather play an away game in Corby, than a Sunday afternoon game in Boro!

Come on Napoli that away day in Corby was quality....
Well ok, maybe not...
It was a ploughed field against some highly irratable jocks drinking Tennets Super at 10am
But the win helped us to the Northants Final...
Yeah hopefully we'll get another, apart from this time mans will be packing! :gun:

not wishing to "open up another can of worms" but has'nt the APPEAL of playing sundays afternoons died out ?? many years ago it was BIG thing and ya mates were well up for it , but now there are to many distractions to take you away from it , ie the sunday match , the pub,.
i can remember playing on a sat , then sunday morn, then sunday arvo , and really enjoying it, but now sadly, you cant get the players to cpmmitt themselves, and also the lack of ref's issue raises it's ugly head again, you don't wanna be involved in the inciddent that NAPOLI had  with no proper officials.correct me if i'm wrong, these ARE my personal views and everybody is entitled to them.
I'd be inclined to agree with The Game. Plus when you get past 18, the legs don't really take it! What is better though, then after a Saturday and Sunday morning football, then the Sun PM avoiding the missus with a couple of beers and the Super Sunday game!
PS - with a name like THE GAME - I bet you take the whole G-Unit to the away days in Corby! :dsc:
