That is gonna be very tough for us, we play them in a friendly next tues as well. It should be good to put ourselves up against the Prem Champions!!

Agree 100% that'll be a real tough one for the Jubilee lads. Saying that Jason will have his lads well up for the game and I'm sure Billy Ponsford and Billy Revelly will look forward to going up against there old team.

Jason spalding has quit and so will be even harder for them now with club having no manager!!

Not surprised with a lack of support from various parties, very difficult for Jason to improve on last year with league being the target but he lost a lot of quality players.

Hope they get it together though as great club with great people but think there is too many chiefs and not enough indians!?

That's sad news, Jason was rank and file local league, Jubilee, sorry Bretton Park Rangers will miss him. All the best Jason. Can't comment on the internal politics don't know enough about it. :soo:

Macca Foggy was right as Jay did say that he was quitting at the weekend, but after speaking with Nigel & Wayne yesterday he is now carrying on as manager.

14-08-2007, 11:49
ok, that aires alot of confedance in the ambition of the club. not great organization this year by what ive been hearing!

even in the early years when it was a proper pub team we were always well run, but now it always seems like to many cooks & chineese whispers?

when i played for the jube many moons ago like macca said it was well run and people just got on and did what they could no problem, spent 10 seasons there, and still miss them

JNE
16-08-2007, 14:19
There are many problems at the jube (to many to mention) and they are all contributing to the downfall of the club. Some of them are the committees/managers fault and others are most definitely not. One thing for sure you can not knock there commitment especially people like Nigel, wayne and Jacko - maybe just there logic!! :soo:

As most people on here know it is very expensive (not to mention time consuming) to run a club successfully and the Jube are like many other clubs at the present time and are struggling.

The team of players that drink in the pub could easily compete in the Prem but play elsewhere. Until they get the inhouse things sorted then they will not progress on the pitch and into the Prem where a club like them truly belong!!

I for one would play there if all was sorted as I know many others would as it is our spiritual home - Get it sorted before we lose the chance!

Dont worry Mr Fogg,

i'm sure me and the boys will give the other teams in the league a good run for their money this year!!

Despite the departure of many players from last season, i'm sure we are still capable of holding our own.

maccaceltic
16-08-2007, 14:28
yes your right about off the pitch stuff. but just because it is the way it is has no bearing on playing football, if it was sorted would you really play? & if you truely beleive that the team is good enough then thats all that should matter?

i like being the underdog & having to raise the game to win a match this year we will see who has the bottle to fight & leave the boardroom stuff to the people who run it

T - UNIT
16-08-2007, 15:10
that is just the type of fighting talk associated with jube teams of old good luck for the season :gun:

JNE
16-08-2007, 15:36
Macca - Yes I would. You know that!

My point being is that even if you got a great team there and won the league there is more than one technicality that I can think of/know of that will stop Jube progressing into the prem if the committee desired to invoke this!! Now surely that would be a waste of a year for all players concerned.

Get it sorted and then, when (and I mean when) Jube won the league they could go up promoted without any possible hiccups!!
With a massive boca party :dsc:

fair play to you for being honest.

i think there is a long way to go, but at least there stepping in the right direction by changing the name except the rangers bit!
not happy about being called rangers and playing in orange

Mr Boca Man
16-08-2007, 19:13
Well I guess its better than being called Celtic, and playing in green and white hoops......

Robbo Junior
17-08-2007, 15:17
'and playing in green and white hoops'

Been there, done it, still got the socks. You weren't moaning Mac when we used to turn out in that kit week in week out.

17-08-2007, 15:21
lol u still got the socks! thief.

no i was moaning about being called rangers and playing in orange its a sectarian thing

Robbo Junior
17-08-2007, 15:24
So you have decided who you are finally playing for then Mac??

maccaceltic
17-08-2007, 15:34
its easier for me, was going to play with seamus & i have signed on. but its to much traveling for away games. i have rebeccas mum look after the girls for me & i dont want to take the **** by leaving themallday with her. if im playing against teams 20 mins away its not so bad & if im at bretton park i dont have to drop them off till 2

Big S
20-08-2007, 08:14
I appreciate your honesty Macca about where you'll be this year but it begs the question that if PNS were at home and Shay asked you to play would you play ? Surely this would disrupt your position at the Jubbe.

maccaceltic
20-08-2007, 08:43
i love playing for shay & he probebly can get the best out of me at times coz he lets me play my game. i used to be gready on the ball but i never lost it! now even before ive touched it people scream at me to release it & its changed my game (not for the better) i used to be top scorer for the jubilee sat & sun from midfield with about 20 goals sat sun. but i only just hit 10 these years and half of them are free kicks lol.

There was goals on offer for you on Saturday mate. Beat Kempston Res who have just been relegated from Div 1 . 3 - 2. Good game. Went 1 up and the Kempston manager nearly had a heart attack and made a substitution after 8 mins !!! Went in 1 each and then quickly went behind but showed great character for a side thats only just got together and scored 2 more to take 3 points. Best performance of the day ? Young girl in the car park ! I'll tell you more when I see ya ! Good luck.

maccaceltic
20-08-2007, 08:52
lol typical, always sniffing around young girls in the car park, well theres no game 4 jubes this week so if your at home i'll come see the game if i dont have to pay lol.

PFA Senior Cup Quarter-Finals

AFC Fletton V Peterborough Sports
Chatteris Town V Perkins Sports
Netherton United V Alconbury
Parson Drove V Oundle Town

Some interesting ties. Tricky tie for Perkins Sports. Also the holders have a repeat trip to The Grange at the same stage as last season. Two outsiders drawn together as well.

Mark,

Just had confirmation of the 1/4 finals of the senior cup, but, We are being given a date in January for this when the handbook states it should be this month. Any Ideas? :soo:

I too believed it to be on 24th November, although it is usually January. Perhaps you can ring David Stapleton or Paul Redgate to confirm.

January is the revised date for the Quarter-Finals. The altered date is due to four cliubs being involved in County Cups in November
