Good win for the lads again Saturday - no doubt Barrel will be putting a proper match report together - but my humble observations were -very good first half performance which saw us go into a three goal lead, excellent team performance overall and one or two individual mentions for Sammo, Luke and my lad, I thought Micky gave the two Ramsey centre halves a real battering, took his goal well and created numerous chances for Lukey. Pleased to see Luke notch a couple, always good to see your front men scoring, and Luke's attitude and manner this season does him great credit.
2nd half was the complete opposite, we went to sleep, and credit to the Ramsey boys, they got the bit between their theeth, scored an early goal and then grabbed a second with a penalty given needelessly by our reserve keeper - who in fairness to him didn't hide when we were looking for someone to replace Fletch in goal, but obviously we lost his presence up front and lost our way a little - big performances from Hoff and Matty carried us over the line.
Lots to look forwards to next year - I believe real progress being made on the pitch, Barrell has some tasty additions to the squad in mind, as do Pel and Al for the 1st team. I know we are working hard to make sure that the playing side is mirrored by off field developments within the club. - watch this space :whs:

I'll second your sentiments on Saturday's game Mick.

Thought first half we were excellent and simply swept the opposition aside, we played some of the best football we had in a long time on Saturday. We looked strong throughout, and i was also absolutely delighted to see young Quincey get on the scoresheet. Micky was also on top form and to me deserved the MOM not only for his 1st half performance but also getting in between the sticks for the last half hour and doing a great job.

Second half we were poor and when Ramsey pulled it back to 3-2 i must admit i was twitching a little, but all credit to the boys they rolled their sleeves up and got stuck in and dug out the three points. 18 months ago we would have gone onto lose, so again another example that emphasises how well the young lads have come on in such a short space of time.

Looking forward to Wednesday's game against Werrington where hopefully we can chalk up another three points, then two big games to round the season off at home to Chatteris and away at Fletton.

COME ON!! :dsc:
