I think the club is resigned to the fact that they will be relegated this time. It maybe the best thing that could happen to them and allow them to rebuild. They seem to have chosen a manager in Paul Preston that could put them back into a challenging position to regain top flight status. It is always a shame when I side goes down, but Sutton were a bit like Wimblington Old Boys very good going through the league but by the time they got into the Premier Division it was too late and the team that had got them there were too old. They should not be too worried about going down as in time it could help. Lets not forget that Peterborough Sports (Brotherhooods) were relegated once and look at them now.

And Brotherhoods were then bottom of Division 1 Mark without a goal or a point - can't quite remember what happened next but as you say look at them now!

No doubt Prem would have benefitted from Deeping being involved this season (congratulations to Deeping Rangers winning the UCL tonight - league trophies seem to follow young Mr Baines around) and agree with Humpy that there are probably 3 or 4 Division 1 sides who would help make the Prem more competitive further down - hopefully clubs will ask for 2 up and down in future to help facilitate this.

Mr Chambers, you undo all that impressive statistician working outs only to ruin it in your next paragraph.
It is of course still possible for Peterborough Sports to finish 3rd or 4th

Very quiet on here today considering the big game this evening, no predictions from anybody ?

Happy Birthday to you
Happy birthday to you

Should be a good game between Fletton & P'boro sports with both sides obviously playing very well at present (as we unfortunately found out against fletton the other week), don't think there will be much to choose between the two sides with the odd goal winning it I think.

Celtic 2, The Mighty Gers 4

ok my prediction fletton with Mr baines playing

PSL 1 V Fletton 1

without Mr Baines

PSL 3 V Fletton 1

Not saying 1 player makes a team but good players do make alot of difference, altough would be surprised if he plays after game last night,
but he is on a high and let me know about the goal he scored last night which told me best 1 ever he scored!!
Is that right Tommy?

thats a huge blow AL main spine of the team out so anything out of tonights game will be a bonus with those key players out. no offense spec but i hope you win AL as you boys and my old team deserve to win the league. on the plus point i think PSL have the strongest squad in terms of depth in the league so that could hold the key to them clinching the title.

KO 6.30 Mick, no Ian Rudd, Matt Leftly, Steve Philips, Glen Bolden
No offence taken jb and you could be right about strength in depth, we simply don't have it

Judging from what I saw on Saturday, and the fact that PSL are missing several key players from the team that played on Sat, I will go for a Fletton 3 - 1 win.

Im gonna go for a comfortable 3-0 PSL win...

Got a funny feeling a few of the players mentioned may have made miraculous recoveries from their injuries..

Does anyone know if anything has been agreed, or if there are rumours about promotions from Division 1/Relegations from the Prem?
Is it 1 up, 1 down or 2 up, 2 down? Appears to be between Deeping and Rutland for the Division 1 title. I see from pdfl.org that Deeping beat Jube 3-0 last night. Would Deeping and Rutland be accepted based on their facilities etc?

jb

i dont think deeping would have any problems with facilities as they have the deeping rangers facilities they just use a different pitch.

Several Clubs applied for promotion. One of them was Rutland Rangers. However they did not apply by the deadline date. The others, who did were Deeping Sports, Silver Jubilee, Netherton United and Chatteris Town. Any confirmation of promotion and relegation issues will be take place, as always until the league AGM in June.
