Finished 3-2 to Perkins at the Manor in what was our first home defeat in the league this season.

A competitive match played in mighty hot conditions.

Was disappointed with the result as thought first half we matched the league leaders and went in at the break 2-1 down, a defensive error from a player who has been magnificent for us this season lead to the visitors going 3-1 up early in the second half, and that really seemed to knock the stuffing out of us. Got a late consolation, but lost out in the end.

Fair play Jellybelly, looks as though another league title is on its way to you boys, rather you lot win it than anybody else apart from us

A good game, only thing that spolit it was an over zealous referee but even more so a visiting player who really embarassed himself today. Won't name him on here as unfair, but really left a few of us scratching our heads today, was a first in Whittlesey I can tell you. The player comes with a reputation we all know that, but today he stooped to an all time low.

Anyhow, hope you go on to get another three points next week at Fletton and claim another league title.

All the best for the rest of the season, Barrel

Barrel - apologies mate, been busy so hadn't time until now to put something down re last Saturdays game - think we probably deserved a draw, although to be fair mate neither keeper really had too much to do. Two dodgy penalty decisions, and some pretty average refereeing all through the game - no point going over old ground mate - but glad we don't have the problem over an obviously talented player who unfortunatley is also a complete cheating pillock. - the lads have to learn best how to deal with that, and the sensible way, and your way, might I add, should be to drum it into the lads to be aware of this particular "player" and avoid the situation, certainly anywhere near the box. My way would be to get Giblet signed up for next year, just to play in that one game - and that particular problem then gets solved, believe me :batr:
Suprised though mate that the Perkins management put up with that cos I have got a lot of time for Kenny, and for the majority of his team, who I agree are worthy winners of the league - I think it says most about them that I gauge how our youngsters are progressing by how well they perform againgst the Perkins lads and believe me we are getting there.

Should be a good game tomorrow, catch you later for a pint and a chat mate - have a good day......

Morning Barrel & Bluestar, hope you are both well.
I was extremely impressed with your team last week and in terms of possession i agree with Bluestar that a draw would be fair, i just thought at crucial moments of the game we had that little bit of edge (i.e. scoring early in the second half and just about killing the game off)
With regards to 'that player' without doing an Arsene Wenger, i honestly did not see the 1st incident, i just heard the shouts to turn around and see him throw himself on the floor in comical fashion. That i agree was totally out of order and i can assure you both that he was told that in no uncertain terms by me. It is not correct and is by no means in the spirit of the game. He let himself down and i hope my words 'got through!'
I thought the referee got that and several other decisions wrong. Although incenced by that episode, your centre half was lucky to stay on the pitch for a wreckless challenge straight afterwards, but i thought you both did a great job in restoring common sense.
I miss the game at Fletton today, but i leave the team in the very capable hands (unless its a cross) of Alan.
i look forward to our games next season, and i know that i will have to have a very good team, and a bit of luck to win again.
All the very best to you both, and look forward to see you soon.
