Crowland...
What a place to play, a real "Local" Place for "Local" People and their support don't half let you know it!!!
Anyway this all added to the heat of the game its good when you get called all the names under the sun by 90 yr old men watching their hmm good looking family members...
The game was as exciting as a 1-1 draw could be I'm sure they old gentlemen of Crowland would disagree but it was definitely a fair one.
Crowland have definately improved since they were smashed 6-1 at Langtoft, fair play to them I say pity they hadn't had these players as the start of the season as I have no doubt they would actually stand a chance to go up this year if they had.
Both teams had goals ruled offside the Langtoft pansies or pus.. as they were called throughout the game certainly didn't react with such foul language towards the oppos assistant ref like the Crowland players/ 90yr old Dads/Mums brothers (lovers) did but I'm sure a few signs of disbelief were waved. I'm not complaining I love a bit of banter, can't believe I missed out on the chance of having the flag stuck up my backside...
Langtoft went 1-0 up through Joe Stewart after looking the more likely to concede however this boosted their game and took control for most of the 1st half, Crowland played some excellent football in the 2nd half a fully deserved their equaliser at around the 80th min.
A small game of push and shove may have happened after the heated 90mins but this didn't continue into the pub after the game where the players etc mixed and ate chicken legs that tasted slightly out of date...
Please note I'm sure the fans I have described as 90yrs old where actually much younger and have a long a enjoyable life ahead, probably managing to see Crowland 1st lift the Prem and their reserves manage to get promoted next season, with that team they may win Div 2.
See you again lads,
Up the Langtoft.
