Crowland...

What a place to play, a real "Local" Place for "Local" People and their support don't half let you know it!!!

Anyway this all added to the heat of the game its good when you get called all the names under the sun by 90 yr old men watching their hmm good looking family members...

The game was as exciting as a 1-1 draw could be I'm sure they old gentlemen of Crowland would disagree but it was definitely a fair one.

Crowland have definately improved since they were smashed 6-1 at Langtoft, fair play to them I say pity they hadn't had these players as the start of the season as I have no doubt they would actually stand a chance to go up this year if they had.

Both teams had goals ruled offside the Langtoft pansies or pus.. as they were called throughout the game certainly didn't react with such foul language towards the oppos assistant ref like the Crowland players/ 90yr old Dads/Mums brothers (lovers) did but I'm sure a few signs of disbelief were waved. I'm not complaining I love a bit of banter, can't believe I missed out on the chance of having the flag stuck up my backside...

Langtoft went 1-0 up through Joe Stewart after looking the more likely to concede however this boosted their game and took control for most of the 1st half, Crowland played some excellent football in the 2nd half a fully deserved their equaliser at around the 80th min.

A small game of push and shove may have happened after the heated 90mins but this didn't continue into the pub after the game where the players etc mixed and ate chicken legs that tasted slightly out of date...

Please note I'm sure the fans I have described as 90yrs old where actually much younger and have a long a enjoyable life ahead, probably managing to see Crowland 1st lift the Prem and their reserves manage to get promoted next season, with that team they may win Div 2.

See you again lads,

Up the Langtoft.

Langtoft, sorry you didnt enjoy your visit to our little hamlet, it must be quite a culture shock compared to the bright lights and big city of Langtoft. You were lucky with the crowd theres never normally more than 4 people watching most weeks they must of known you were coming. Have to disagree about the unequal treatment of the lino's, i was stood next to your forwards all game and they were no sunday school teachers.
Overall though a draw was a fair result i thought, wish we were this good at start of season then maybe going up with yourselves. Didnt see what happened at the end of the game i was doing the nets but sounded like handbags to me.

as the guvnor i feel it only fair to make an impartial comment on proceedings, how can someone from langtoft accuse crowland of inbreeding? pot and kettle surely, although i would admit some of the families do partake in a bit of swordmanship between members of the same family. Anyway football wise crowland can play some of the best in the division unlike langtoft who are long ball merchants who rely on a decent striker.

Donk - I loved the game it was one of the best I have seen all season....

CG - Would that be the same striker that joined us 7 games ago when we were already 11 points clear? Or the other excellent striker that took the pi** out of your lot until Jacko put him out of the game?

We played some excellent football in the 1st half you pitch got cut up so bad that even your brilliant footballing team resulted on punting it fwd to Kyle who I must say is quick as lightning... Pity he can't finish!

Just to add a couple of points, no one ever remembers how good the football is but merely the result and when your close to the title if the long ball game works in the conditions and state of the pitch then that's what you play but Langtoft do play half decent football every now and then.

Langtoft not sure which of your strikers took the pi** all match, was it the one that had one shot all game or the other who never had a shot all game, and i dont think they won a header between them :blh: :blh:

I remember your keeping palming wide an excellent save from snap shot by Matty Atkins and the other who was holding the ball up and running your tall man ragged (albeit whilst the ball was on the ground) scored our goal and could have had a second had your lino not flagged offside or not he made your keeper look stupid with his Berkamp like touch!

Yeah quite right, i remember the snapshot now what a great save it was, thought your other striker should have followed it in for the rebound. Thats still only one shot each on target

Not a bad ratio really, two shots one goal...
So if Langtoft had created more they should have won by many working on the scenario.....
Lucky langtofts best stricker didn't play then hey.................

Your keeper palmed it wide man! How can it follow that up? To be fair both teams missed way to many chances my young left winger should have put that 6 yard shot into the back of the net instead of smashing the bar!

Kyle should have had 3 and Sherman who came on for Joe should have finished off that header towards the end.

Seriously most exciting game this season.

Think it best to agree to disagree on some aspects of game, never the less its the most enjoyable game weve had for weeks.
How does G/Hill dropping out affect your points and those around you we only lose three.

Its ok to be honest the ones that matter still had to play them so its just one less game in hand.

We still have to get 11 points from 5 games to Guarantee the league, thats if all the results went against us...

Im gutted I miss the 4th game as Im in Aus after all the hard work I could miss the game we win the league..

Still there is Netherton on the last game of the season..
