Fingers crossed we (JNE) bounce back this week with a convincing win. Think Nethertons pace will cause Westwood some problems but think a few players on the netherton team may not be up to the physical challenge westwood possess.Be an interesting battle between the mighty Matt Sedds and Ben???Woodview should beat Blue Boar.
Go Racing 252!!
Reckon with Brewery Taps new signing from the Oak they will leak goals like there is no tmrw!!!I hear he is aweful!!And perhaps an OG for the Taps goal thrown in too!!

Netherton Ressies?
Nevermind.
Bothered. We're ****. Everyone's better than us. Used to it. Fact. don't even know why we're gonna bother turning up on sunday.

Scarletts won 5 - 1, how did the rest of the results go. JB tell your old man to stay away, you were awful, only joking your distribution improved as the game went on, your tackling didn't. A good win, still shaky at the back but in all a much improved performance all round.

Netherton 0 -0 Westwood.
great battling game to play in, mostly played in the right spirit. Thought we were going to nick it in the end, but the 9x psl and 3 x perkins players held strong and defended well. looking forward to the rematch in a couple of weeks
JNE 8 - 0 Powerleague.
Aweful pitch to play on and prob shouldnt have gone ahead with all the puddles..........but made it all worth while to see Jamie Graham get face planted straight in one within the first 5 mins!!!
1 down 4 to go.
awful mick? thats a bit harsh! i thought i was far WORSE than that  i think i'll let webby the bottler play next time i've got a dead leg

26-02-2007, 11:36
don't turn into a smart arse sedden.
I thought Webby the Bottler made a great Lino, he made far less mistakes than he usually does when he's playing.I had a bit of a chat with your dad, he mentioned dummys, rattles and prams to to be fair I said I'd never seen that from you, must be going soft I actually stood up for you. Cup semi soon JB, be nice to see you live up to your tag of legend. What do you reckon, Starks going to struggle to get back up front, Luke and Shak did well, Paul Light and bottler Webby to come back, not to mention Tim, could be interesting.

got the spelling wrong eh?

26-02-2007, 14:21
oi thats me not him who is harmar thank u , ..along with many other names . . . .
good game i thought for a nil nil affair which was helped by a few puddles on the pitch where players didnt know if it was goin to zip of the surface or plonk and stop right in the middle of one . . draw didnt really do either team any favours . quite tight up there . who will push to win it?

I thought you lord westwood boys were well up for a bit of banter!!!
stop biting so quickly and get your seddon's right! I know we're all fat and slow but the hair is the one feature that seperates us. I'm bald, edd looks like he's harmar superstar and jack looks like a girl. Hope that helps.
lol
mick your right shake and luke did look good. but i'm the manager so i can play where i want. only joking, i cant play up front cos i dont have anyone to fill my boots at the back. lighty will find it hard to get back in before semi as we dont have a game this week and i thourght didler had a good one.
Hi 1X have we got a keeper signed on yet because tomorrow is the last day so I'm led to believe. Will have to look at the fixtures for this Sunday to see if there's a game worth watching.

Mick .. Werrington to watch a PFA (junior) Semi Final - 10am K/O ??
Werrington v Emap
Should be a good hard fought game!
But I suppose JNE v Netherton would attract more :soo:
Thanks for that BON have seen Mail twice this season, may go down, nice to see old pals Joe, Crotty, Hemps, Locke if he plays and perhaps Daz Paling. Hope You give them a good game.

Mick...
We played Royal Mail last weekend, we drew 2-2 after having a player sent off within 10 minutes (the ref was a nightmare!)..
Good game and we made your mates work hard - Hemps threw his toys out of the pram as usual but in general they were a good set of lads and we enjoyed the game.
We actually play Werrington Village in the PFA cup semi-final at Werrington this weekend.
Sorry about that B.O.N. just another senior moment, misread your post. Best of luck on Sunday, not sure who I'll watch, depends very much on Sat. night, going to see Elkie Brooks, another senior citizen at the Broadway, might have a few pops afterwards. These senior moments are about the only thing Tommy the Ex-Trophy and myself have in common these days.

just 2 little points , i have no inflence in the game so will not be puttin my money on anythin . also tryin to not bet so much these days..... and as i told my friend nipper i wouldnt mind betting in drinking tokens but apparently they dont like drinking tokens ..
netherton will and will always be a underdog side . jube are red hot favourites , but we will give it a go .
Should be a very interesting game, On paper Jube have a very strong team, depends who's fit and who turns up. Am I right in saying that the match has been moved to Chesnut Avenue ? At the moment it's p*ssing down, hope it doesn't affect the fixtures. How's Harbs injury situation. He needs to get those splinters out of his *rse. Seriously I would love to see him back. I'm sure Shaky won't underestimate Netherton, they have some fine players and are capable of giving anyone a game, they are usually a very organised side. I hear Beeny has signed for them, that is of course provided he's not injured. Best of luck Sunday lads, might pop down for second half, think I might go to Werrington first.
As for predictions Jube to win by the odd goal 2 -1 or 3 - 2. If Westwood put out a full strength side they shoud win, maybe 2-0 or 3 - 1.
Emap to beat Werrington Village 2 - 0.
yeah Harbs sort your **** out, best player i have seen in Peterborough for a long while!

We beat Werrington 3-1.. get in there!
any other results?
Well done BON. Walked to Chesnut Avenue (boss had the car) no games on, still the exercise did me good. Got home just before it p*ssed down.
BOTN i watched the second half and was very disappointed with the werrington lads as i've played with most of them in the last few years and really didn't do themselves justice with the team they had out. i dont think they were helped by their lino flagging absolutely nothing :soo:
i was very impressed with how well drilled emap were and their fitness levels were unbelievable on such a heavy pitch late in the second half which is a credit to yourself. i must say though the werrington lads were giving it a right go at the end and it was a real end to end game on such a heavy pitch which speaks volumes for both sets of players..
from what i saw in the second half the hungrier team won the game.

Cheers JB... We've had the same set of lads for 2 and 1/2 years now and have been doing well, most have played in and around P'Boro for ages at a half decent level and all my lads keep themselves in good physical shape - it's something I always look for when bringing someone new on board.
On paper I think you'd find we had the better team as well as the hungrier and fitter one.
Regards their lino, I think he wore his arm out in the 1st half as he flagged constantly, in the 2nd he didn't give too much because our lads were instructed to give it a yard or so before making their run to avoid the flag-happy lino, our front 2 were superb with 1 goal and brace between em.
We know a lot of their lads and full respect to them for a tough game, I had a score on the game with Ray (which he didn't pay me afterwards by the way!) .. handshakes all round and we wish em all the best for the rest of the season...
Lord Burghley in the final - anyone got any info on em, they look a good outfit going by their results so far this term.
Lord Burghley are all ex-Blackstones players who liked their beer more than their football but can all still play a bit, it will be interesting following on from your last topic as to whether fitness levels or pure talent will win the day, on paper Sean I would have them down to beat you, but they are not fit so therein lies your chance

05-03-2007, 15:38
cheers Spec, I'd heard they had a couple of ex-Blackstones lads and I would imagine on paper they'd have the better squad on the day, we're hoping to match them with our fitness and desire so it should make for a decent game...
April 22nd at Chestnut Ave has been scheduled for the final - be good to see a few down there in support of the Peterborough based team, we can't have these Stamford lads snaffling a trophy from us can we

from myself and all at werrington village we would like to wish all the best to the emap lads in the final.for once i agree with jb we did not do ourselfs justice and the better team on the day deserved to win.botn can you pass on my apologies to the lad i caught with my elbow, was not meant at all.also pass on good luck to me old mate sid(hope you get some silverware).see ya in a few weeks time

nice one boot boy... I'll pass on your regards to the lads..
It was Hamad you caught with your elbow and we all saw it was accidental..
We knew it'd be a tough game as Ray was talking you boys up for weeks,
I thought your lads played well, but maybe a 3-5-2 (with Ray in it ) wasn't the best idea against our 2 forwards? plus fitness told in the end with some of your lads out on their feet and ours still running on!
see you in a couple of weeks...

Eddie, he's been with us for 2 years now, but has rarely played this term as he's back into his boxing..
He'll be Emap again next season though - less politics in our league and he knows a lot of our lads very well and works with a few of em too.

so he lied to me again has he?.... if thats the case come on boot boy catch him again lol . he text me yesterday sayin that was his first game this season , which surely cant be true as i know u would of checked that out n wouldnt of played him as i dont think u can play a semi as ur first game of the season .......
yeah has been with u for 2 years . not quite sure what u mean about politics in our league??? but he will always be red and black through n through . cant change that as much as u cant change ur age. its like micky owen at newcastle!

Eddie... thanks for pointing that out on here mate....
But fortunatley for us, In the PFA cup you can play someone who is signed for you even if he's not played ALL season - providing he signed before end of Feb and he's not cup tied, even if he came in just for the final - It's a wierd rule but I double checked it with the PFA weeks ago and it is correct..
Hamad fits that criteria for us no worries as he signed pre-season so can't be cup tied.
Oh and he's now EMAP through and through - Netherton is but a distant memory..
The politics bit was aimed at how heated it all gets in the Prem, any decision is argued for ages, refs get cained ALL the time in big games and certain teams can provide a really un-enjoyable atmosphere to play in/against, lower down at our level most of our lads enjoy it far more, but who knows we're working our way up so may join you in a few season

06-03-2007, 14:54
only pointed it out on here as i know u would of looked at the rule throughly like my old man would of done so knew that u wouldnt have done anything illegal .
just 2 facts...ask him about double dt at jack hunt on a monday morning .pure passion n pride ... netherton is never a distant memory . fact .
and about it being heated and totaly unenjoyable in the prem . . guess ur entitled to a opinion but it is by all accounts a one sided one . i cant say any divisions we have encountered have been not enjoyable and we made our way from division 7 . another fact .
good luck 4 the final anyway .

you like your 'facts' eddie  none of it was a dig at Netherton or the Prem mate.
I really like and admire your set-up and can only strive to get close to it someday... always enjoyed either watching or playing against one of your teams!
Hamad enjoys his time with Emap now as he's not able to dedicate himself to football as much as in past years, suits us all really, I'm sure Netherton remains close to his heart..
Regards politics - that wasn't a dig at your lot either, the simple fact (sorry couldn't help it) is that in the Prem both on Sundays and Saturdays the stakes are MUCH higher and that does bring out the worst in some people/clubs/officials etc, I've been around long enough to know that stress levels increase the higher you progress and seeing as we dont get paid we're currently enjoying our level a little more than the higher ones some of us have enjoyed before....
Saying that, our goal is to progress so it's a learning curve each season.. good luck for the league, it's looking like a photo-finish up there right now!
