Cheers mate, few big weeks for us. Gotta treat every game like a cup final from now on in, sure your boys are the same.

Hopefully we can make at least one final this year having got to the semi's in the last 2 (and going to a reply in each!!)

See you in a weeks time!

One semi down one to go!

Pressure is off us now as we have finally reached a final!! So if we win on sat it can only be a bonus.

Big game for the jube having lost on saturday which effectively ends their title hopes they have to see sat as a must win game otherwise the season will be a big disappointment.

Before you :gun: me down i am fully aware you are still in the Northants cup (semi final) but i still reckon this is a must win game for you boys.

What u think? Either way should be a cracking game and all the best!

I have to agree our tittle chances are almost over although its not mathamaticly impossible for us to win it yet I dont see Deeping dropping many more points and although we have to play them again a win will not be enough unless they drop points elsewhere!!!!!!

Again I agree it is a must win game for us as we want to win trophys this year, I believe as long as we play to our abilitys we should win but again we were unlucky to lose on Sat as both Deeping goals were errors (Our keeper had a mare) and we dominated most of the game with Deepings keeper Ash making 3 great saves so on another day we would of won it.

I agree it will be a good game and I hope we can end your unbeaten run, all the best for the match.

Coates Dave must say i have to disagree with yourself when you say the pressure is of you boys on Sat, normally i would agree with you being as you are in a lower league and are the under dogs.
But before you :gun: me down i only say this due to fact that Mr Egg has boasted so much about how good you all are this season , how most of your boys could play in prem and lets not forget the fact since this semi final was drawn what Coates are going to do to the Jube. :str:
So as to there being no pressure, well lets just say there is alot of people going to be seeing if Coates boys can walk the walk!!

not sure who is now assembled at silver jubilee, but they will be made to work for a win on saturaday. coates have a lot of potentialy good players within there side but you have to remember most lads are still below 20 and that is were they get a bit of yap from, would like to watch as my youngest brother plays for coates but if they get a result on sat will be there best result of the season. they still have plenty of time to progress in to prem players.

Mr Egg boasts about a lot of things!!

I've read most of your posts on here shaun and they tend to have the intention of winding people up!! Which is all good fun so i take what you say with a pinch of salt.

But i stand by my original statement that there is no pressure on us what so ever. Read back on these topics and most of the 'talking' has been from the jube camp and rightly so too, so with their recent league disappointment lets see if they can stand up and be counted!!

As Mr Gayle states we have a very young team that is in my opinion only going in one direction but believe me we are capable of giving jube a run for there money and upsetting the odds by making our second final of the campaign!!

Mr Harley, I don't believe any of the Coates lads have suggested that they are 'Prem Players' on here. Maybe they have had a few words with yourself. I think if you read back you will see that the Jube lads fancy themselves at that level (or was it they have been at that level).

I can tell you that they have walked the walk, going to Griffin Pk and winning two nil and then beating Chatteris convincingly three nil.

I also believe the pressure has been taken off a little. Would have been a different story if we had lost last week. As far as i'm concerned our next big game is in the league against Sawtry. Yes I would like to think that we can put in a good performance against the Jube but getting out of Div 2 is No1 priority.

CAFC none of our lads fancy themselves as prem players actually, several of them have played that standard and a few even higher!!! But they are almost all local lads who drink in the pub or have grownup together and chose to play for the club, also we to have a few young players our captain is only 18 so you expect the bannter as its all fun and end of the day it will come down to who performs on the day!!! :gun

ha ha mr egg!! every1 is talkin bout me i'm famous!!

i love the banter but to be fair jock i've never said 'what Coates are going to do to the Jube', if you check all my posts i've only ever said to superjube that we shouldn't be under-estimated!

and like gary says, is not beating chatteris and griffin park not walkin the walk??

Alrite Lads, am i right in believing that a game at the Manor was postponed last weekend??

Do you think the pitch will be playable on Saturday?

Think the weather is supposed to be ok, between now and Sat.... :xxx:

Well you never know with the manor but we've had alot of games called off this year! we normally find out early because a couple of our players work at the manor and they haven't said anything yet so so far so good!

The manor pitches have been terrible this year. Just about every week since start of year has been called of on them. My advice start looking for alternative arrangements.

CAFC

We have on numerous occasions this season tried to make alternative arrangements. Unfortunately when you ring Bushfields or Werrington it seems easier for them to say no. Never quite sure what the problem is but it aint much of a service. I think they must need a lot of notice. We have managed to play one of our home fixtures at Werrington and even a game on Whittleseys pitch ! Bottom line is the situation at the Manor is shocking and we play second fiddle to Whittlesey and the kids.

Do no mens teams play at Feldale Field? McCain is an option too?

March Teams have exactly the same problems with pitches, which is why the likes of Wimblington and Doddington can field two teams and do reasonably well. Using funding to buy your own field (and look after it) is the way forward, but it takes a lot of work. I doubt Fenland District Council will invest.

Teilo, there's a lot that I could say about facilities in the Wsey area but it would take me an ice age. I need say no more than too many people pulling in too many different directions and feathering their own nests. That applies to Council, land owners and football clubs.

I have suggested a meeting with ALL of the local football clubs, Council and Cambs FA but nothing. McCains has never been an option for Coates although Wsey seem to have got their foot in that door recently and Feldale will always be a foeld for dogs to sh*t on.

My very brief thoughts, invest in the Manor for Wsey clubs and find a new home for Coates (2 mens clubs + 11 youth teams). Money :soo:

Has anybody got an idea on the rules in the northants cup, regarding UCL reserve teams being able to play their 1st team players?? E.g. how many are allowed?

I'll send you a PM with a contact email address and Tel number for the Northants FA - best bet is to contact them and ask so you know for sure!
David Payne at Northants FA is best person to start with..
Good luck with the game.

I would imagine most of the first team would be cup tied as they would of played in the higher version of the northants cup, also they are playing away to Sleaford in UCL Div1. I hear their first are not great and are bottom of their league, and the reserves are 2nd from bottom in UCL Res div2. As long as we perform its there for the taking, but we will need to start raising our game again from now and until the end of the season.

Go Jube :gun:
