View Full Version : Well done Super Sports
just want to congratulate Tommy, Al, Pat and the boys for a hard fought victory at Higham!! Fantastic achievement indeed!
I missed the penalty shoot out due to the impending england / scotland rugby but sports had matched them blow for blow!! It was a terrific win and all associated with the club should be very proud!!

Well Done Tommy n all to do with PSL

Well done PSL great result, hope you can now go on and win the cup!!!!!!!!!!!
:pty:
f**king brilliant lets all take sh*tfields by storm for the final! :dsc:
Just want to take this opportunity to say what an absolute pleasure it was to be playing with such a great group of lads today. The never say die attitude was apparent to all.
Illnesses, injuries and even a sending off were never going to effect the outcome of this game.
Would like to thank Tommy, Al and Pat for giving us the opportunity to just go out and play football. A tremendous trio that have confidence in each and every player and that confidence filters through the lads and allows us to achieve brilliant results like the one today.
Also a big thanks to all that came and supported today, and fingers crossed to a decent night out in Northampton.
Cheers
Ron
Well done Ron. You were under the weather, like Pat Dooner, but you both gave 100%. Great team spirit!! Win or lose in the final it will be a fantastic night for all at the club.

Have heard its the 2nd week in April.NFA have said that Sixfields is always available but could be Rushden.JNE, you were misinformed about the league being a priority and being the preference.I personally want to win everything i participate in and have no preferences. If people dont want to win, then dont enter any competiton.
Now then Tommy just savour the moment for a few more days before getting too serious, a great great result for you all, and another nail in the UCL v Peterborough League debate, and it's no good getting there without finishing the job off properly so make sure you do.
Did you all have a few beers afterwards ??

we all stayed 4 a few beers at higham then went back 2 psl, we showed them total respect, the same was done at all the other ucl clubs we have visited this season, thrapston too! just b cos they have a few fraggles at thrapston (at a guess supporters not officals) it dont make the club as a bad lot.
as a few ucl boyz now check this forum out, this message is also 4 them.
and well done 2 u boyz spec top result gainst high opps then we have 2 face in northants cup.
jimmy watson seems 2 think that its a shock result, the hampton result too (ucl chatter), but hey the man is blinkered as most seem 2 be on the ucl chat forum!
come on the pboro prem!!!
I'll tell you what Al, St Neots showed us, our ground, the officials absolutely no respect whatsoever and it cost them the game, they moaned whinged tried to get players booked and it fired our boys up big time, when will they all learn that our Prem league needs to be taken seriously

Many thanks Mick. Was a great team effort by everyone associated with the club for the hard work they have done this year and in the past.Hope we can become the first Peterborough League side to ever lift the trophy.Either way Saturdays result was my biggest personal managerial achievment and i was so proud of everyone. The Peterborough Premier League teams and their management should stand tall and proud this weekend.Well done to all concerned. Thanks again my friend, take care.

Just read Huntingdon FC managers comments in the Evening Telegraph."we shouldnt be losing to Peterborough League sides"Who the hell does he think he is kidding. Some UCL clubs have serious attitudes towards our league.
And he sent out some 'strong' texts, wow what a man he is
even better on that ucl forum ianh has closed threads on the nhants junior cup as it no longer concerns any of them
proper boro-cobblers local derby affair in the final so lets not let the city down in terms of our support!
Please post the final details as soon as you know.
Would like to travel to show my support for the Peterborough boys against your Northampton counterparts at the Subbuteo ground.
Cheers, Barrel

not that you care there's no reason why you'd want to go on there now as they're all irrelevant hey!
even better on that ucl forum ianh has closed threads on the nhants junior cup as it no longer concerns any of them
I locked them because they started as a "Who will win the semi finals thread?" as we now know who won, there was no need for them.
the final will be Peterborough Sports v Kislingbury, you can see earlier in the post, I predicted an all Peterboro final, so I got that wrong.
I hope Peterborough Sports win, I have never seen either of the finalists play but have seen some Peterborough League games, last one being Hampton who deserved to win at Huntingdon (which I also wrote in another post).
so how about not making daft assumptions eh JB!

it has to be said tht ianh has always put honest and non aggressive postings on both pboro and ucl forums.
it just got a touch personal with cam from thrapston who couldn't accept that he always got it wrong. plus losing to psl.
the fool cam is bang out of order with his slating of flynny
just a quick question ianh?
did cam get barred as well as hobbit from ucl chatter as his kind of comments ammount to bullying by poking fun at over weight people? often read about over weight kids getting called names and then taking their lives because of it.
we've now got to keep an eye on flynny!!!

I dont know Carefree, I am administrator, its not my forum, I just edited the posts that were a bit abusive, and I am sorry if I havent edited them all, but its a football forum there shouldnt be any need for name calling from either side.
if there are any complaints football wise they should be directed to the ref, or failing that the FA (does work sometimes) but I think the Huntingdon lad is clutching at straws a bit with the 2 linesman on the same side. I was at the game and to be quite honest, If the Linesmen had both been playing for Huntingdon, wouldnt have made much difference :soo:
