Anyone know the likelyhood of games going ahead this weekend?
Will the council be cancelling all games again?
Well i for one hope not. Haven't had a game yet this year due to 2 cancelled games in a row. Although we are at Oundle this week, isn't there pitch next to a flood plain??!! Don't hold out much hope at present
Am working in Oundle at the moment hyypia, the sun is out and it's lovely.. little bit windy perhaps! so your looking good for a game.

hahahaha - when has the Oundle Pitch ever been fine?
I once started a run going down the slope and couldn't stop till I hit the A605
If the rain continues until Saturday I can't see em playing on it at all - just my opinion for what it's worth...
I'm not laughing at your whole comment Sean, i'm just laughing at the part "I once started a run" - when have you ever run mate? :bst:
Raining this morning in Boro but sun came out later on. Hopefully the wind will dry the pitches out. No more substantial rain until Saturday and maybe most games will be on.

cum on oundle!!!
cum on alconbury!!!
cum on pinchbeck!!!!
Our game's off :tears:
At this rate we'll be playing 5 games a week come April/May
So's your stiffs Hyypia!! Never known Oundle to call a game off on that pitch
Any comments from Saturday's game Spec? Or from Leverington?
Also, would be interesting to hear Alconbury's and Moulton's comments. Scoreline suggests comfortable win for Moulton but the scoreline doesn't always reflect the game as a whole.
Yes Hyypia, we looked tired, last weekends game being called off didn't help us and unfortunately for you lot missing 3 games in a row probably won't help you (well i'm hoping so anyway). Good result for us though against a hard, physical side who have improved greatly
Had a good win against a very good Alconbury side on saturday, we are well pleased with the win as it is always a tough place to go and any other teams going there will in my opinion have to play very well to win.
I think the fact that we haven't missed any games due to weather helped us & probably hindered them.
First half was closely fought with the score 0 - 1 at half time, both sides having also hit a post. Wind pretty much spoiled it from a footballing point of view but we managed to nick a second goal with about 20 left.
They are very lively up front and will certainly be a handful for any back four, think we play them again in a few weeks so will be in for another very tough game.

come on netherton ...... hopefully it can be another prem scalp , but this will be our toughest challenge by far . plus its the first game in charge for me and jt ( mr manager away on a drinking weekend) so will our inexperience in management show? ... who knows .
gd luck to everyone . 2 games away from a final .
Why dont you tell everyone you are in charge one more time eddie
Now we will see if you have learned anything from rocket Ron or not
Rocket will probably have a video link up to the game anyway!!
Mark
Rocket Ron is not the Saturday manager
Of course it's Marcel??????Nevertheless Ron might take advantage of his absence?. Anyway I intend to go to the game to cover it for the PFA Website so I Can keep an eye out?
thats a bit irresponsible for a manager to choose to go on the p**s instead of taking charge for his teams biggest game of the season isn't it!?

devestated is the word.... what a time to give the opposition a 3 - 0 half time lead . suppose the difference was we never took our 3 chances , they had 4 and scored 3 . up hill struggle from ther, played well 4 thirty mins in second half but couldnt get the 2nd goal and then it slipped away .
well done to alconbury , good side with not many weaknesses but cant help but think on another day we would of tested them alot more. we let ourselves down , but had 2 prem scalps on the way so was all fun i suppose.
yes carrot i was part of the management team ,sorry 2 be a bore but i have to entertain myself on this website these days as i have no entertainment to look forward to on a playin side . although my record does read played 1 , lost 1 , upset a player 1 . oh well did my best ...thats all i can say . n no its not irresponsible . if ur job entail u 2 be away once a year then u cant say no . hope u show them skills when u train with arsenal to t.henry. im sure he will learn alot from ur chats about how u used to skin mr christie lol

I have to say that with the oplayers netherton had on the pitch on saturday I thought you would have done a lot better
But whoever decided that Martin Bradley should play at wing back should have their arse kicked all the way to Alconbury
Wot is the point having a very good central midfielder playing wide of five and never in a position to make his mark on the game
He could have had more influence on the game in the middle and perhaps you would not have given the ball away so much
Also think you brought thw wrong Weston off as Jamies obvioulsy did not know his team was playing in white but Luke contributed little as well
But at the end you made Alconbury work for their win and you did well after the break for about 20 muins but the best team won in the end and deservedly so
when all you have is a team of central positioned players one of them has to play out wide! mind you dont help when you have a winger at centre back cos he cant be bothered to run this season

Yes quite right JB but you dont put your best central midfield player out wide
Yes and Matt Ferris could have played as a wing back
