Cheers Langtoft. Apparently the game wasn't as close as the scoreline suggests.

I did not see the game but the lads told me that we should have been 5 or 6 - 0 up at half time. We missed some really good chances.

And that was without a full strength side!!!

Anyway, it's out of our hands whether we go up, but the lads will just keep plugging away and hope for some favours from others.

i wasn't at the game either but have been told good 1st half for pinchbeck and poor for netherton . have been told that second half was completely different with netherton battering pinchbeck and the pinchbeck keeper having a great game. blatant penalty shouts and disallowed goal and the general feeling was that the ref wanted the game to be drawn and have also been told he's part of the langtoft set up :scr:

not saying the ref was influencing the result at all but if this is true why on earth is a referee who has involvement with an individual team in a league being assigned games to ref in the same league :soo: i remember a ref turning up last season for a game in this league wearing a langtoft tracksuit top which wasn't the most intelligent thing to do!

Wondered what your excuse would be JB

Biffa yeah we always beat the lowly teams 1-0 but to be fair it wasnt a game of football just hoof into the wind and hope for the best, backs against the wall 2nd half after going in 1-0 up at half time, still to win the league you have to be able to win scrappy.

Got a break next week how nice

Yes another good set of results for the Langtoft team. Certainly good news for us, mathmatically now only need to win 8 game out of 10 to tie up the league so takes a little pressure off with some tough games ahead... But typical windy Langtoft conditions....
Think the ref may be Pete Bowden who was the fixtures secretary for Langtoft but as far as i am aware he isn't anymore...
And i see yet again fixtures changed and we have tough home game against Wimblington, who did us at there place....
Biffa did your boys play this weekend then ????
JB didn't you play or you been dropped now...

Yes it is strange that the Langtoft pitch was available and the 1st team didn't have a game but then don't need any of them to play as we are doing fine as we are thanks........Top of the League
but if you care to have a look at the pic of team in ET this week and find a 1st team player that started or even came on then i would be happy to eat my own hat.............
