This Division One fixture looks the pick of the games on Saturday but who will win?
Interesting to see that Netherton have somehow acquired their own resident referee Glen Adams (He is their number one fan) to officiate the game.
Netherton need a win to get back on track after the Deeping defeat. Tough call and Rutland to win 2-1

Not sure whether to go to this or PNS v Whitworths - think that this will be a draw 1-1 and Foggy will think that is a good result for his Silver Jubilee side.

PNS v Whitworths it might as well be Long Buckby v Nothampton Spencer who the fcuk is interested
At least the oteher game may have some players for your rep side Fortune or Jolly if they are playing and a possible assistant manager in Marcel

Thanks Mick - nice to get involved in a non Prem discussion - it goes very quiet in Whittlesey when the first team stop winning for some reason!

Good response CJ by the way - Sorry but me and Chipmunk Cheeks are going to watch PNS. Understand why you would go and see Netherton though, what with it being just across the road, and if my little birds tell me correctly, you are about to go onto their committee?

They seem to be Ortonians in the making, and I think it was a good move by them to approach you.

Gretsky - what are you doing tomorrow?

   Nice one Judgy that brought a grin to me ugly mush - truth is my lads would have me gonads on a plate if ever such a suggestion were to be made - you being as popular as a fart in a space suit around these parts and all that :mnn: - but at least you and our Trev could put the world to rights every Saturday so might be something in the suggestion after all *1010*

Well that must be a first I was spot with the score at 1-2 but Netherton could quite easily have had things sewn up in the first half but the best three chances fell to Greg Siccardi who surprisingly played as left wing back but is so right footed.
Abbas had the ball in the net in the first half but was rued offside and then Rutland took the lead when the Netherton keeper made real howler witha cross.
But Abbas was always a problem for the frail Rutland defence and they were arwarded penalty and the the chubby lad took it himself and scoredYes Glen Adansms gave thema penalty and before you all tghing well no suirprise there well itid look a defitinite. Although two minutes earlier Abbas made aDrogba style dive that would whave won him nine points but gotnothing.
The second half was played in terrible conditions and the Posh kids werenot quuite the same team and as Rutland took a grip on the game. Dan Jolley who had been very quiet in the first half popped up with the winner with a header from a good cross from the right.
Both sides had players missing but with two defeats on the trot I cannot say I fancy Netherton's hopes of a promotion place too highly.
They had Luke Weston playing but he had little infuence on the game and the only threat was Abbas and he was withdrawn with 10 minutes to go.
Goalkeeper did not inspire confidence and the time is right now for the manager to go out and sign one or two players to strengthen his squad especially if Ronnie Fortune is not going to be a regular player.
Referee Glen Adams had an ok game but why do they book a player for kicking the ball away as he did a Rutland player and then let Netherton's Matt Ferris dish out a terrible tackle and not even get spoken too. I still feel Glen's a good ref but he should not be doing Netherton games on a Saturday or a Sunday when he is involved in the club.

seems that netherton r signing a good outfield side chris. have 2 agree that glen shld not be ref 4 a netherton game, i don't think he wld sway it 4 netherton but it does add fuel 2 the fire if there is a dodgey call 4 them.

best he did some1 else on sats eh lawrence?

i dont think the ref does a game thinkin about sides etc . if anythin we get the blunt end just because were a friendly club who respect all aspects of foootball .
i sometimes run the line but i dont run it giving 50/50 decisions our way , personally id feel shamefull if i did , so just give it how i see it and if it aint good enough tough luck . so if i run the line and dont get paid for it i dont see that any refs are biased . sure tommy flynn could shed some light on this as well , do people have a go at him if he refs a certain side? i wouldnt question any refs intgrity

yes glen manages a under 10 side but if anythin it goes against us . had a certain pen in last minute denied but suppose if that was given then he is biased if u get me? ..... i dont understand why refs cant award 1 ,2 ,3 pens ?... if its a pen then its a pen , although i have to say the light availible for the match should of maybe had the match abandoned lol

good analysis me thinks that mr judge , although im workin on sico and his left foot . he will get there , he can only use his left in trainin . we still have a chance but need to start winning against these top sides . . . and soon

think u just answered why glen shldn't do a netherton game eddie!!! 'he can go against u as ref coz he is involved with netherton when other ref's might not' and 'other teams judging things he does give u!!!!' didnt u lose on sat? then its glens fault then coz as u said he didnt give u a defo pen!!!!! :soo: enuf said!!!

well my point bein is that all this hes a home ref is rubbish as if anythin it normally goes the other way . a ref is a ref and there aint enough around . we as netherton dont mind who refs us as we know refs do give it as they see it and in this weeks case glenn said he never saw it that way which is good enough 4 me . and apart from that i think he pretty much did a good job . we never got it this week but u know they say about it equalling out durin the season. u get luck , u dont get luck...

happy new year

As I said in report Glen is a good ref and did ok in saturday's game
But he should not put himself in this position where people will always question a penalty or a disallowed goal
As you quite rightly point out it can work against netherton so that just empastises the problem
And another referee may have given a penalty in the last minute but there was a lot of injury time and it would have been a harsh decision

eddie u have just repeated my point again! 'it normally goes the other way' !!!!!

MEANING AGAINST NETHERTON YEAH????

Hello - Hope all had a good new year and back refreshed!!

Good result for Jubilee as we stumbled to a 4-2 win over kings cliffe with a number of players missing incluing moody Ayresy!!!

Netherton seem to be dropping to many points and currently league playing into deeping hands although we got to play them twice!!

Tommy as for fat Ckub, I ve actually lost weight over xmas due to being ill and a little exercise If I was to lose 2 stone I would look like Glen Bolden!!
