Saturdays game was probably the craziest I have ever been involved in.

Starting with a mad own goal (Thanks very much) after about 15mins the ref gave PSL everything
and seemed to be on 1st name basis with them all.

What followed that was crazy. 1stly PSL are given a pen for minimal contact after a corner our CB was
Booked.

I pulled off a wonderful save (Ahem) with my shins.

Half time comes we have kept it at 1-0 although both teams have hit the woodwork and we had another goal
ruled out for offside.

2nd Half

Ref is just a shocking giving us sweet FA accept for another booking after what was definitely a foul on the
big fella with Bright Hair (Finished off his game)

Then the ref once again our defence slips allows a 1 on 1 with me PSL right winger jumps a year before he even gets to me ref
gives another Pen. This time its blasted wide (Must have been the put the ball on the spot protest.)

PSL continue to press and take advantage of our makeshift midfield another 1on1 is superbly saved as in one in the PSL area.

Then 10 mins before the end....

Corner ball headed out deflects a hand and surprise surprise Damon Pywell who in my opinion and possible others the worst ref
we have had ALL season points to the spot. Protests lead to a dismissal in our ranks perhaps deserved but this is a ref who
said to the player in question allegedly of course "your the w@nker" after our player had said it to an opposition. Some may say fair enough others may say whats a ref getting involved for? His face at the final whistle wahoo LOVE IT!!!!

But once again the forward bottled it which was sweet as he was the lad that dived over my leg.

Langtoft win 0-1 and head to Leverington next week with a lot to prove.

Hopefully my keeper will be back to.

you'd have got spanked if psl had their best striker playing who, other than in a shootout has never missed a pen as far as i know

You maybe right JB especially as we were missing 5 players too.

But it turned out nice again

Well, i must agree with Aiden that the Langtoft / PSL game was a bit crazy and to be fair i thought PSL were the best side on the day by far and the best side we have played in this league to date. Football though is all about finishing and i'm afraid that was the differnece.......Even if we did need help..
As for the ref i thought he done well but you cna not ref a game on first names with the players and them with him that does not help his cause at all.......

i played almost every game for psl res's last season and we had the same ref on a few occasions. believe me he is not biased towards psl as he was a right c**t when he reffed us last season so i dont see how he would all of a sudden give everything to psl. i dont think you could criticize a ref for being on first name terms with players it helps to have good communications between players and officials.

Evening all !!!

    Crazy ain't the word to sum up sat's game :shake: !!!
Some keeper you were Langtoft !!! you obviusly had some dark force or aura around you !! :wow:
Neva ever have i benn involved or played in with 3 missed pens ! :hbgr: :hbgr: :hbgr: :hbgr: :hbgr:

However , enjoyed it , but i am a bit baffled on your 1st quote
"minimal" contact !!!! if i stopped and a player use's me to stop himself then to me DEFO PENO !!
considering you CB was a "REF" (or so he kept telling me for 90mins) he should of quite clearly known the rules ..
as for the ref ....Mr Pywell

he is not a biased ref in any way shape or form, infact he has had the pleasure of reffing us a few times and he has dished out yellows and red's to my lads.i can see where you are coming from though, we really shouldnt call him by his name, but i have grown up playing against him and talking to him over the last 10yrs or more so i have to put my hands up :ndg: i was probably the worst culprit on sat and that i apoligise for, but langtoft, he was "not on ourside" !! he would never put himself in that situation . he is a good local well known bloke and he is VERY FAIR !!!!!
