Went to watch Royal Oak v Jubilee and I have got to say that the Jubilee were top draw and completely out battled, out played and most importantly out scored the Oak

9-2 has there ever been a more comprehensive score line between to prem rivals

That was some win for JNE, what's happening at the Oak. I honestly don't want to see them go the same way as the Nag's. I know Baines has left and Beeny is injured but that doesn't explain 9 - 2, can't remember the last time the Oak let in 4 never mind 9. Are J.N.E. that good? I know that they have always been a good side but that result really must make them favourites for the league. I hope Darcy can pull things back, the Oak have been one of the best sides on Sunday mornings for the last 8 years.Have to admit that teams like J.N.E., Westwood and Netherton have been closing the gap recently, I expected the Prem to be close this year but not so sure now. I'll be watching the results closely over the next few weeks. By the way many thanks to Mr. Flynn for the tickets last week, shame I didn't see them win. :soo:

the mugs that support their hometown teams rather than glory hunt elsewhere? and before you mention arsenal my heart will always be with posh before ANY team.

anyway fantstic live entertainment and well worth the money and unlucky to lose at the end, i think posh done themselves proud and only a MUG would disagree with that. :mnn:

Just to let you all know Mr Flynn has offered tickets to me before on more than one occasion but this was the first time I could take advantage of his generous nature. I will always put Posh first but I have had an affinity with Wolves for over 45 years and unlike a lot of Man U fans I do go to see them play. I still have the programmes and tickets from their two league cup wins all be it that they are almost antiques. As for him falling into hedges who amongst us hasn't?

Yes JNE did play extremely well and Oak play poorly but bit earlier Mick to say that we are favourites for the league. One win all be it a very good one and as people keep pointing out ot me we have not won anything yet!!

As for the oak, showed no balls or character which surprised me as I know all there players and they are normally very committed. Bainsey leaving and joining us is a massive blow for them as he got them out the S**t no end of times just by his scoring of important goals.

Big game for the oak on sunday as IF trhey lose to Netherton then they are out of the title race as no team has won the league for as long as I can remember losing 3 games!!

Bigger game at Bretton though as local rivals JNE and Westwood get it on. No matter what result all back to the Westwood for a few beers and a sing song, with Coxy buying!!

As I've said before you have a great memory Glen.Spec are you working Sunday morning ? If not let me know if you are off to watch a game and I 'll join you. Iknow how much you've missed dishing out all those fags, who knows might even go for a beer afterwards, have to be careful though lost nearly a stone and a half so far.

Understand that the Oak gave great value for money to the paying customers at Orton Longueville School today with their 6-6 draw with the seriously average Woodston side.

Alex even missed a penalty at 6-2 up to keep it interesting - apparently Alex was not happy that he wasn't able to whack anyone on his run up which threw him a bit given his past history on this ground (private)

At least the draw means that Matt Leftley might stay with Woodston a bit longer. Loyal Matt's (I am only signing for emergencies) debut was marked with a goal and what with Tesco's at Hampton agreeing to transfer his loyalty points from the Morrison's near the Oak as well it was a pretty good day all round.

I enjoyed my walk on Walton-on-the-Naze beach this morning - I rang Darcy at 3.30 yesterday afternoon from Ipswich to say I wasn't coming back, as Darcy is very rarely doing anything at this time on a Saturday. However he did not pick up the message - Darc - apart from the 3 week Carribean holiday for the Cricket World Cup I am there for you every week from now on - apart from when I am doing something else.

Foggy - seen the cup draws - remember Bretton / Jubillee North End have still never won a thing! (no pressure)
