PFA Senior Cup holders, Deeping Sports will be hoping to add yet another Premier scalp to their growing CV as they take on top flight side AFC Fletton (formerly Hotpoint) in the 16th Jack Hogg Charity Shield. The annual curtain raiser takes place at The Peterborough Football Association Youth and Community Centre on Friday 11th August 2006 with a 6.30pm kick off. It will be the first time that a First Division side has contested the final, whilst Fletton will be looking to atone for their 4-0 defeat to Eye United in their last appearance in the show piece back in 2001. Entry to the game is by programme and they a priced at £2 adults and £1 Children/OAPS.

Did my nuts at Newmarket last night and Jools Holland is crap!
Should have gone and watched Fletton probably and well done to them on their 4-0 win - is that the trophy you were on about already in the bag then Spec?
Oh no - when we won it the last couple of years I remember you saying that it did not count (plus you shouldn't have been in it really!)
Maybe all is not doom and gloom, and they can make a challenge - must admit though I have friends at a number of clubs (well 2 possibly), and Moulton surely deserve a trophy I would be pleased for Fletton if they won it this year.
Off to draw up Rep team v Leverington version 15 after 4 late pull outs - some things never change!
