Where you got these fixtures from? Have the league sent them out then?

Was also looking at the www.pdfl.org site could not see fixtures on there yet?

Combination League games dont really get going until 2nd Sept so you may have a little bit of time. There are a few games prior to this but not got the sheet handy to look.

Hard start for the us boys from the Fens with Stamford Bels Away always a difficult place to go and then this season's Galactico's Perkins just a few days later at Eastfield.

Should be interesting and challenging.

One things for sure though - The Whittlesey Boys are fooking up for the forthcoming season!

COME ON!!!

inpressed with the new look long sutton, much much better then last season's team, have to say that their young team worked hard 4 each other and will upset a few teams, great young keeper who will help earn pts without a doubt. so happy with a 3-1 away win. the club looks great 2 since the fire. shame the pitch wasn't quite up 2 a similar standard.

must mention the ref, he may have been good once but at 64 years old surely shldn't be reffing at this standard. poor frm start 2 finish but not his fault as he was given the game by the league, sorry lawrence but how did he get a prem game???

well done perkins winning by the same scoreline v wimb ob.

anyother results peps?

Just reading through the post regarding the referee who was in his 60's. To be fair to the league and to Lawrence he has lost 4 or 5 referees this season to the "Contributory League/Supply league" system who would probably have been allocated Premier Division matches this season.

He has lost myself, Helen Fulcher-Ward, Pete Goodacre and a guy from Stilton/Sawtry who have all attained level four this season. If i have missed any others off - i apologise

Being at the bottom of the food chain Lawrence can only work with what he has been available to him.

I don't wish to jump on the bandwagon regarding ref's etc... but i know of a certain Ref, who in my opinion is VERY GOOD ! and is currentley not doing anything at the mo, ANDY WAITE.. We arranged 2 pre season game this year and in both occasion's he was superb !!!! :nwy: i know stuff went on regarding a sunday morning incident, but to be fair that "keeper" who got him into this mess "went for me" during the final game of the season as he walked off in a strop halfway through the 1st half.... Both sets of teams in the freindlies were pleased to see him back, and agreed that he was spot on with his decisions !!!! doe's anybody agree with this statement or disagree ????????

Thoroughly agree Biffa, Andy is a good ref and as you say shouldn't be punished for one stupid incident that was blown totally out of proportion.
He should at least be invited back to ref if only on a 'trial' basis and review it after a month or so

i played in those game biffa and although he made a couple of decisions that players had the usual moan about he was first class and dealt with the very little abuse he got as good as anybody could. as a result there wasn't the slightest hint of any trouble or bad feeling even though one game was a bit of a "grudge match".

its a pity we can't do poll's on here anymore because i thing this would result in an overwhelming 100% in andy's favour

disagree paul, a younger less experianced ref would have at least kept up with play, come on now this guy is in his 60's fit or not 4 his age, he could not keep up with things and as he was so far away from most of the fray just went with who shouted loudest, there was a moment when 2 players exchanged blows which went on 4 a good 20 secs and he see none of it!

can a lower class ref do this level? if not why not?

Robbo ?
21-08-2006, 10:51
first off i muts say hard fought win for pinchbeck but got us off to a good start. and i knw the referee you are talking about and he was ref for us in three pre season friendlies and the simple answer is no he is not good enough for the Prem, too weak, too slow and for his age too unexperienced as a ref

Hyypia
21-08-2006, 11:38
He went with those that shouted loudest Al? Most decisions must have went your way then buddy??!!

Well done Robbo, good start for you boys. What were Parson Drove like mate?

it was a fast tempo game. The same realy physical, organised and will be hard to beat down there. They didnt realy create much at all a couple of shots from 30 yards which were easy for the keeper to deal with. They got a very dubious penalty which they didnt appeal for. But justice was done as our keeper saved it. Realy should of won by 3/4. But a good start for us.

not many shout louder then me foxy!!!

difference was we didn't know this ref and long sutton did as i hear he is fairly local ish. so took a while for us to understand that u get nothing unless u shout 4 it in this game yeah?

at least if we get him again we can set our battle plan early.
