Oh dear oh dear oh dear. You win your third game of the season and people are now leaving Moulton to join PINCHBECK!!!!!!!!! How can somebody be dropped if he hasn't played for 2 or 3 weeks. But then again, that must entitle him to a starting place in a continuous winning side.

Do me a favour. pufc whoever you are??? Division 3? Is that where your 1st team will be in a couple of years - Edited - Mobile Man - No need for insults is there??

I was talking to adam yesterday and if you really think he would leave Moulton for Pinchbeck then theres something seriously wrong ! He told me Spalding have put seven days in for him but haven't spoke to him directly and haven't left a contact number . Now if he does leave or not it's entirely up to him but can you honestly say that you think he will leave a top of the table side for one that has and is still struggling in the top flight ? But i'm enjoying all this rubbish your posting about Moulton , treacher and Braybrook because we struggle against the lower teams for the simple fact we think we've beat them before we actually play them ie wimblington & whittlesey ( the only points we have dropped in the league ) but i think when we play Pinchbeck you boys are going to see the real Moulton that are up for the BIG GAMES in the league !
see you soon PUFC !

Just a few words for you Mr Harrox. If you seriously think that Pincheck will be in division 3 in a few years, then your knowledge about football must be seriously limited. I agree, that at the moment we are struggling, but I do think that with the young side that is being established, we will hold our own and even surprise a few people. I keep reading all these derogatory comments particularly from people like Tommy C about how we are whipping boys and don't deserve our place in the Premier League. One thing you keep missing, is that the average age of our side is only about 20. And I would go as far as saying that man for man we are just as good as anyone else in this league. If we stick together, then the experience will come to the younger players, which is invaluable at this level.

And also, if we are that bad Mr Harrox, how come Moulton continually pinch players from Pinchbeck. I know of about 4-5 players in your first team who were here first, and that you are looking at a few of our players at this time. Is it to do with the fact that your team is not exactly getting any younger, and you see our youth as the way forward???

I have to mention that I have said it already on the pdfl site that if Tony Wells can keep the current crop of young players at Pinchbeck then they could become a force to be reckoned with in The Premier Division. I certainly do not subscribe to the early comments that they are staring relegation in the face. This season has already seen an improvement in the clubs performance and they could yet in the future regain the title they last won back to back in 1990-1991.

Mr pufc , EVERY GAME IS A BIG GAME !

Especially when your still in every competition you've entered & have a chance of winning at least 1 of them if not all !

How many competitions are you boys left in & how many do you think that you have a serious chance of winning ?

One thing about Pinchbeck is that they've always had a young side but will all you guys stick around for the next 5 years winning nothing untill you have the EXPERIENCE to climb up the table ? And out of the 4-5 ex Pinchbeck players playing for Moulton do you think they made the right decision to leave Pinchbeck ? because in my opinion they have all improved as players hence Moulton's postion in the top flight over the last 5 years !

Pufc stalwalt your comment of Moulton side is not exactly getting any younger on saturday there was 7 of the first eleven under 30 years of age, and 3 of the 4 subs was aswell thats not incluing the players who wasn't even there ! Isn't it around 28/29 you hit your peak in football unless your WAYNE ROONEY ? so how do you think we are too old :scrwy:

Harrox FC is right! if you ask me I wouldn't try and make Pinchbeck sound any bigger than what they are at the moment coz you'll just sound stupid otherwise!

pufc stalwart.

In the words of pufc army. Don't be so serious it was a tongue in cheek comment. Having previously played in the Premier division for a number of years my knowledge about football must be limited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, what constitutes a stalwart at Pinchbeck???? Anyone over the age of 17 who has been there more than 2 years??

Mr Harrox

Just for your info, I have been at Pinchbeck for 15 years, and having also played in the premier division for this length of time, I think I can spot a potentially good side when I see one.

I am not having a dig or anything, but I think yours (and everyone elses comments) about us being a poor side is a little unfair. This club has been through a bad period, and I know everyone connected with the club is working hard to make sure that we have a team that can hold our own and compete with the big clubs. The loss of our reserve side certainly did not help matters, and now it's back up and running again, it is a step in the right direction.

If we can hold onto the players we have (and I think we will), then we can only keep improving. I am not shouting from the roof tops here and saying we are going to win the league in the next 2 years or anything, but I am sure we will become a team that will be hard to beat, and like Cham said, become a side that will start looking down the table rather than up.

I have been around long enough to know that you haven't become the team you are now overnight. It has taken you boys a number of years to get to the level you are now.

And I also agree with Tommy C (the only thing I will agree with him on), and that I think you boys will win the league this year.

So congratulations on winning the Premier League for the first time!!!

Yes but Moulton have yet to win the league. Andhow many times have Pinchbeck won it .....twice. Perhaps thats wot really wrangles the Moulton boys.
Pinchbeck is good little club and I am sure thy will rise to the top again. They are certainly going the right way about it

I gave Pinchbeck due respect after we played them earlier in the season - it was a really tough game and you certainly have improved this year. Still think you will be bottom 4, but you may well win that mini-league.

As we put 8 goals past you in each of our last 2 visits to Pinchbeck before this, I think that previously calling the fixture with you a waste of a Saturday was not that wide of the mark - for Gods sake I even played myself in 1 of them!

For the past few years you always seem to be turning out a young side - do you then lose them to bigger clubs like Moulton or do people just stay young longer out your way?

And well done for beating Alconbury - a popular result with the Ortonians lads.

im not trying to say we are pushing for the league which i rekon people are assuming, im just trying to say we dont always get the respect we deserve. The bigger clubs seem to think turn up down there and itl be a guarantee banker. Wot we had was a good youth team with the majority of them prepared to play for the same manager, with the bigger players moving to ucl clubs.
We can develop top young players. were did treacher play as a youngster. The days of turning up and it being a banker 3 points have gone.

cheers for the congratulations on beating alconbury, game of 2 halfs tho.

looks like half the pinchbeck team have turned up for a chat!!! Pinchbeck arn't a bad side else they wouldn't be in the prem, but thats all they are at the moment, sure they'll give you a tough game as what they lack in experience they gain in effort, but i can't see them taking any big scaples this season.

pufc army
14-11-2005, 21:12
thought you werent replying to us because we talk nonsense. surely whittlesey can be seen as a scalp as they are reigning champions? or did they finish runners up as i talk nonsense.

Topband got to say that Pinchbeck winning the title 15 years ago (i think) doesn't wrangle anyone at Moulton in the slightest & Pufc/Stalwart talk about already winning the title in November is ridiculious & another comment to try and upset our progress this year, just like Treacher/Braybrook leaving & posey better than Treach ! How many more posts are you going to post about Moulton ? Or is it a love thing and you'd love to play for us ?

And pufc is their anyone at Pinchbeck , players or management that was there when Pinchbeck won the title 15 years ago ? (isn't the only 1 still playing from that title winning side playing for Moulton) When you say topband hit the nail on the head or coffin about us being jealous of Pinchbeck winning the league is a comment i'd expect from somebody who is sat on his computer with his 1989/90 winning medal polishing with a smile on his face , so is that what your doing ? :nwy:

Now you are having a laugh. We're not that desperate. Spent most of the time watching the ball slip through his hands from a cross which I believe still happens now!!!!!!!!

Anyway, he didn't last long the 1st time when he didn't have the balls to face anyone about not wanting to play again after 3 games. Spent all his time hiding in the kitchens of the restaurant at Morrisons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

17-11-2005, 19:16
Topband... I think you might have a case there. They are certainly not the best 'footballing' team in the league. I would say there are probably 3 other teams who can actually pass the ball around better. But in saying that, I will give Moulton due credit as they are the most organised team in this league which is why they are hard to beat.

Does anyone else think I am talking out my arse when I am saying that Moulton are not exactly the best footballing side in the league (I would say there are 3 other teams who are better) but certainly the most organised???

And just for the record,I am not saying that Moulton can't play, cause obviously they can, but just that there are better teams.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this please!!

Dave Baxter
18-11-2005, 13:23
I can only really talk about the Peterborough sides where PSL & Perkins are both pretty football teams but inconsistent when it comes down to the nitty gritty

Ortonians play decent stuff at times, but mostly well organised and fit and have a lot of good strikers.

Best are Hotpoint who should walk the league with the side they have - manager is a bit of a liability though, slagging off own team in the paper every other week, they are best footballing side but probably won't win anything again?

has the internet only just reached the spalding area? they're all like kids with a new toy out that way on this site!!!!!!!

U reccon psl play better football? To be fair every game against pinchbeck is scrappy, if you watched other games suchas against ortans or hotpoint you might change your mind!
