Just a thought.

Would clubs be interested in a five a side competition at Perkins on 4 pitches on Sunday July 9th. (Open to all affiliated Teams)

£15 per team with Trophies for the winning team.

The Eye 5s is no more and if we get enough interest we can make this happen. It can be a fun day for the whole family?

Just for the record this will be a 10.30 start so nobody will miss the world cup final.

G, sorry I haven't got back to your text mate, been down the coast all weekend, we are obviously up in the air at the moment regarding our name change and getting new affiliation number so we may need a favour in that department should it not be all sorted before your comp.
We will definitely put one team in if not 2, let you know by the weekend.

Hi Big man, how about a team of vets, You, me, Alex, Tony F, Jenks, Tommy C, Spec and Tommy F. Would be a laugh, obviously after your performance against PSL you would be our superstar, actually we could include Al as well.

That's a cracking idea Mick - I would be up for it - include Billy Burton as well? Could say Mark Jeary and Robbo but one wouldn't turn up and the other ones hip has gone!

Unable to participate yesterday due to prior engagement. How did the day go? Who became eventual winners (who was in this team?)

Hopefully the day was free of "Zidane-like" incidents??!! However from playing in 5-a-side tournaments this is something that can rear it's ugly head.

I think Alconbury, Whittlesey, Perkins, Royal Oak were amongst the last few in it... we left as the Semi's were being decided...

Anyone got any news on how it ended up then?

After we lost 3-2 to Perkins in Quarter Finals they went on to play Royal Oak in the semis who they then beat 6-1, by which time Alconbury had lost to Whittlesey 1-0(ET) so it was a final of

PERKINS Vs WHITTLESEY

1-1 Full Time (Perkins won 4-2pens)
