Seen a few of you about town and some of you mentioned that you were thinking about coming to our Northants cup final on tuesday at Rothwell Town.
If anyone is interested, we've still got some spaces on our bus, leaving the boathouse at 6pm on tuesday, £6 a seat. Think there's some grub being put on at the pub afterwards too.
Would be good to see some of you boys down there. Anyone that fancies a place on the battle bus, just drop me a PM from here with your name and number and I'll give you a buzz.
Cheers chaps
Good luck to the Netherton United boys on Tuesday night.
Hopefully the people who attend will produce a "Lord Westwood" style effort off the pitch (ref PFA final) to encourage the boys to bring back the trophy to Peterborough.
Show the rest of Northamptonshire what Peterborough is made of boys.

Good luck Netherton (tonight isn't it?) for their Northants Cup Final.
EMAP play next Tuesday 9th May at Wellingboro FC in their final of the Northants Sunday Shield.
Like Netherton we have a coach leaving Chequers Pub (orton wistow) at 5.35pm, anyone interested in coming along gimme a shout via here
The coach is FREE - £2 entry to the ground...
We've checked and there IS a bar and catering etc at the ground
Coach back to Chequers car park.
Congratulations to Ron Seddon and the boys. Well done on bringing back the Sunday Senior County cup to Peterborough
A dramatic evening and a big shout goes out to Roland who saved the vital penalties in the shoot out. Well done.
Also well done to Clarkey for his equaliser (in normal time) boy did you leave it late against the 10 men of FC Raunds but 2 minutes before the end added some spice to proceedings.
Then the dramatic FC Raunds equaliser, to make it 2-2, in the last minute of extra time. It had all the ingredients of a cup final with the 2 penalties (both to Netherton and both justified), a sending off and 2 late equalisers.
Great stuff - just glad i was there to witness the match

Massive Thank You to everyone who made the trip lst night.
The crowd was awesome and gave us a real lift when we were 1-0 down.
Whoevers idea it was to bring a chanting megaphone - inspired!
My Head hurts.

Nice one lads... congrats to all involved at Netherton!
I was hoping to get down and watch but couldnt make it, sounds like I missed a cracking night!
Great to see the Northants silverware heading back this way.
wicked night and fc raunds were VERY lucky not to have another 2 men sent off as scotcher ran 'em ragged!
missed penalty in extra time but still did it!
roland deans penalty saves were awesome :nwy:
3 players battling with knocks through the pain barrier and the cramp started setting in on some of the boys at the end of normal time whereas our "semi-pro" opponents seemed to breeze through the game fitness wise. but the netherton spirit carried us through and hard work and endeavour got us there in a totally memorable night!
ONCE AGAIN ROLAND DEAN WE SALUTE YOU! :nwy: :nwy: :nwy:

My Bird shouted to him that if he saved the last penalty she'd buy him a bottle of champagne. he heard it.
That'll be me paying then! Thank you very much. grrrrr. (And I doubt he'll accept the cheap stuff!...)

Many congratulations to Ron and all the lads.A credit to Netherton and Peterborough. You only have to look at the young kids playing at Netherton at an early age and see what a progressive club as a whole they are.Well chuffed for ya Ron.Your only misfortune is to support Coventry City but i wont hold that against you.

Sounds like quite a match guys and well done - not a bad 4 days for Eddie Patten. Not sure if Eddie picked up the trophy last night but what a record he has. Last year he lifted the PFA Senior Cup on both Saturday & Sunday and now this year has gone a step further and picked up the County Senior Cup on both a Saturday and Sunday.
Big up to the posh kids!
