what a great day for the Lord Westwood f.c

well done to troy brown and paul cox on winning the pfa cup v the 'mighty' royal oak.

shame the 10 plus psl players who play sundays at westwood cant do mthe same for their sat side.

for those who don't know much about sunday football in pboro, royal oak is made up from mainly 3 sat sides, pboro northern star(eye utd) ortonians and hotpoint. so a real top victory :pty: :pty: :pty: :pty: :pty: :pty: :pty: :dsc: :pty2: :pty2:   :pty: :pty:   :pty2: :bub: :bub: :bub: :pty:

Well done westwood boys in doing something that Jub can not and win a final. Excellent game and westwood best side for 60 minutes until they went 3-2 up when oak took control and should have took game into et.

Hopefully jne can follow suit and make sure the trophies are shared this year.

Went past westwood pub about 6 and pub was rocking, few sore heads tmrw!!!

Well Done to Lord Westwood for a job well done. The supporters were like a 12th man. Now that is what you call passion. Sympathy must go to the Oak as well, who contributed to another fine Senior Cup final only to be denied victory for a 5th Senior Cup out of five visits. Many thanks to all that attended the game.

Well done to Lord Westwood, commiserations to the Oak. Have to say it was a pleasure to referee the game today. Only one caution (makes a change for me)

The atmosphere that the Westwood fans generate is a credit to local football - made getting up this morning worthwhile today.

best atmosphere i have ever seen at a local game for many years! Brilliant performance from the Westwood boys, both teams were a credit to the league as were the officials! The Westwood weren't to be denied. Days like this are what Sunday mornings are all about. Two good teams two good sets of supporters, magic!

Crap game, travesty of a result - this opinion has nothing to do with my losing £250 to Paul Cox!

Westwood started better and went 1-0 up. from 15 minutes to half time, Oak dominated (Foggy??) scored twice and could and should have wrapped the game up.

First half hour of the 2nd half Westwood by far the better team scored twice before getting a bit tired and a bit nervous allowing the Oak to put a lot of pressure on in the last 15 - some good saves from Billy and wayward finishing from the Oak boys - congrats to the Westwood - please feel free to continue your celebrations into Tuesday and put out a scratch side as PSL against us!

So that's where you were off to Sunday am Tommy. Saw you near Brookside on your bike looking a bit rosy cheeked!!

Who were the scorers for both sides? Any screamers befitting of a cup final?

Matt Leftley's strike for Royal Oak was quality ....... neat turn on the edge of the box and rising shot to the corner.

Both Westwood goals were soft ......... first was a gaff from the goalie who let a low shot )James Horner) sneak under him from an angle and the second was a header (Ian Bradbury) that just seemed to trickle through a crowd into the corner !!!
