Spalding United Shock!

I knw this may come accross as a huge surprise, but big rumours speculating around the Spalding area is that if Spalding United get relegated this season they could well be playing in the Peterborough Prem! A fair source was speaking to thier secratary a few days ago and found out that if they get relegated they will not be able to go in the midlands league they have applied to go in to next season, so will have to drop down to the UCL but the UCL do not want to have them back as Spalding have messed them around before so therefore they will have to enter the next lowest avaivlable league and that being the Peterborough Prem!
does anyone have any thoughts about this? or has any1 else heard anything along these lines?

If this is true then Spalding would definately have the best facilities in the Peterborough & District league. It seems strange to me that the UCL wouldnt accept them back into the fold as their Reserves currently play in the UCL reserves division.

If they were to play in the Peterborough league it would be a good thing especially with the loss of Ortonians at the end of the season (and maybe Hotpoint) One thing - would they be placed in the Premier Division or forced to work their way through. Their reserves would have to play in the league as well as the UCL wouldnt allow them to play in a higher league (as per the football pyramid)

The UCL would welcome them back (from what I have heard) even if they did protest they wouldnt have that much say as it is part of the Pyramid

and theres always the Eastern Counties league ........ along with Wisbech
