I also believe that if we play like we did last Saturday with little craft, enthusiasm or belief we will indeed lose to Perkins this week so Septic Spec might be right with his prediction.
I am also sure that the 4 teams Hotpoint are due to play appreciate being told that they have no need to turn up for what will be a routine beating and will not have any desire whatsoever to prove the all seeing one wrong.
Just a small technical point - we can't afford to draw a game as it stands due to Hotpoints superior goal difference, but a Hotpoint draw in any game leaves us being able to lose a game - might be a few twists and turns yet.
My lawyer has asked me to point out that I have an exclusive right in the Peterborough League to make such bullish comments and hope that we will not see a repeat of this behaviour in the ET next week (don't tell me - you were misquoted!)
Not misquoted Touchy Tommy although a brilliant piece of journalism to actually make it sound how he did, Perkins will sort you out Saturday and we will go on to win all of our last 4 games, I don't care how much the sides we are due to play against will read that and get up for it, the simple fact is that we will still beat them because we are the best footballing team in the league, didn't mean anything derogatory.
As for you having sole rights to spout in the ET just thought I would take a bit of heat off you at the moment after Swanny absolutely slaughtering you again last night, I must confess though that me, Johnny Hastings and Gino had stood talking to him for half an hour Sunday morning, can't remember whether your name had come up at all (can't think why it should have done anyway 'cos we were talking about decent referee's) but we may have given him food for thought.
Anyway don't get so passionate it's only a sport, you'll be sending me hate mail next !!!

I know Moulton are well out the title race now due to many set backs and poor results but we still have to play both of you yet!!!
Hate to say it but i hope we do Ortonians a favour by beating Hotpoint!
Confident and overconfident are two different things Spec and the league isn't over untill it's over!
As it is Ortans last season in the league I would prefere it much more if they leave the league with a bang. They've been a great side for the last few seasons and if there's any justice in the world then they'll win it again.
Remember, there's always next season Spec, unless your Tommy!
Come on Ortans!

Spec, no doubt your piece was designed to provoke a response and I didn't want to disappoint. (Didnt get the ET last night so don't know what Swanny said I am afraid?)
I am struggling a bit with this role reversal, and to even have someone from Moulton saying they want us to win the league feels very strange, but thank you anyway Lozzaman.
Don't go down the arrogant, don't care what anyone thinks, we're the best, sod the lot of you road Spec - it's very lonely, or so Darcy tells me! (remember him?)
All the best for the rest of the season and may the best side win.
You always seem to be teetering on the extremes Spec, when you lost to Moulton you were jacking in, now it is close you are going full bore and saying you will win every game??!! You need to learn some humility(although i admit that anything said on this site won't affect any performance or result on a Saturday - unless someone gets done over before the game!! HAHA)
May the best team win (at least the title race could go to the final game rather than being dead and buried already - great for neutrals) 3rd place still a hot potato also....................................
To be honest Hyypia there was a lot of behind the scenes hassle just before the Moulton game and after seeing the manner in which we chucked the game away I was absolutely gutted, I have always said and I still say that I do not not enjoy football management one bit, I won the prem as a player and I only want to win it this season for those of my players who haven't been fortunate to capture the most pinnacle trophy of local football, I will be dissappointed more than anybody but it's not the end of the world, I'm just trying to boost my flagging enthusiasm and hopefully get Big Fat Tommy to enjoy a bit of banter before he wanders off to pastures new. As for teetering on the extremes, f*** all new there mate !!
I will tell you a conversation I heard yesterday in the newsagent regarding two old blokes who obviously didn't know I was the Hotpoint manager and what was said, made me smile for a change actually, will be back later.
You see Spec you DO have a nice side!! Have you seen that Jim Carey film Me, Myself & Irene??!! Appreciate the honesty and that post puts you in a far better light (although i'm sure you wouldn't care either way  )
What was the conversation from the old timers? Also, what are you considering as 'old'?

0-0 with March (well sort of March) in our friendly tonight, but a lot better than Saturday and Beeny must have been blooming cold in the 2nd half.
Another Eddieism tonight to let you know about. Following the never to be forgotten "sucking on diesel" tonight Atty got the ball flush on the chin from 3 yards and didn't flinch and Eddie gives it a "face of steel Atty!"
Looking foward to my last match with Gino Saturday and expecting a corker, though naturally disappointed that the all seeing one has us down to lose, which allied to a Hotpoint victory over Bells will leave them on the verge of the title and I will share his delight for those guys at the club who have been there for a number of years without tangible success
Is that praise from Caesar Tommy ?
I was getting some fags Tuesday tea time and buying my beloved ET at a friendly shop in Woodston and there were 2 elderly fella's (mid 60's I would say Hyppia !) reading the ET and obviously on the football page, one of them said to the other I see that Hotpoint manager is spouting off again why doesn't he keep his gob shut and just get on with it, the other one said yeah if I was one of his players I wouldn't put up with that every week, now I'd had a bit of a bad day and turned round to them both and said there wasn't much chance of either of them being one of my players at their f****** age and condition, the first one replied well reading what you keep saying about their attitude at least we'd put in more f****** effort. Couldn't say anything to that really, shook both their hands and walked out.
Classic :bst:
Tommy - you can catch the ET comments from Tues on www.peterboroughet.co.uk - go to the Sports section, then select the correct headline. They only thing they don't show is the teams and 'Star man'

So Spec confident my mates will chuck it in!!
Feel they should be putting in double effort after last week dismal showing and I for one hop ethat they get the wins they so deseprately crave and I will get that title medal that i desepratelywant!!
As for moulton, feel ortons struck up a good rapport with them last year and i for one will be cheering them on and glad to hear lozzaman comments and I hope paul kent and his players put the effort in with nothing to play for!!
Tommy, we should beat perkins and I for one will be very disappointed if we do not, they are rebuilding yes and are not bad but we should still beat them if are attitiude is correct. Come on lads, do not thow it away now!!!

Cheers Hyppia, but it was Mondays ET I missed - if I featured in Alan Swanns exceptional satirical column for reasons of praise or otherwise, then great - no such thing as bad publicity as far as that page goes as I think it is brilliant the way he gets people going aka Speedway bods.

There was an old man from Italy
who had a great big family
His name was Angus
and is as big as a bus
but he really don't make much fuss.
He signed a legend to
make a mense
cos he was let down
by alot of his friends.
A draw at moulton is what
browny told em.
They came up with the goods
as they finally should.
Tommy's army on they come
down at perkins this is going
to fun a defeat last week still
stuck in his teeth the orton
boys could be weak.
There was a spy down
at the old Royal Oak
As spec and Gino they spoke.
Tactics and teams they though
of there dreams
With silverware in hands but
its bells they are going
To try ruin my plan.
Have no fear Gino is
here we will be strong
That you can count on.
While old man cooper sat
there chuckling a defeat
At Whittlesey did not
seam to bother him.
Win all our games and you
will see ortonians at the top
He he
But a mention of moulton he did not like
With a frown on his face
That gave him a fright the
title is still not quite in sight?
Lyrical genius, i think you have been listening to too many rap songs mixed with an i'm bored pill :)

Not sure it will win too many littery prizes Matt and the rhyming is a bit iffy in places but well done and please get a hobby!
I was indeed in remarkably good spirits last Saturday night considering the defeat, but analysing Ocker's life made our loss seem pretty trivial and we certainly had a good time, though Alec Brown did pick me up for swerving at 10 o'clock and will no doubt remind me of that tomorrow at the game.
Can't get too bladdered Saturday night as I don't want to let Darcy down Sunday morning when I help win the league for the Oak!
See you tomorrow Harbs and looking forward to seeing if you have adopted any tactics from Sceptic Spec for the game. I myself have not colluded with any of Hotpoints upcoming opponents as it would be a pointless exercise given they are all going to lose anyway apparently.
Only1fogg can assure you that we at moulton will be 'giving it everything' in all of our remaining games. We want to win every game left as we very much want to finish third and think it only fair to the two teams who can win the league. Also we cant play any other way as effort/spirit is a vital part of our game.
Good luck to Ortonians & Hotpoint, as always at any standard of football the best team will win the league
Yes, yes see you tomorrow Tommy, im afraid the only tactics adopted by us are the little lonely green breath mints, Other than that i no not what you mean :)
If the weather is this nice tomorrow you fancy calling it a draw and we'll all go sit @ the boat house and have a few beers in the sun? just a thought.
Oh dear Spec what a weekend you're wrong about Perkins and your top scorer goes off to London Road to watch Posh while you are trying to win the league and then they announce that your club is closing
And by the way is it you who is winning these games or are you at last going to give some credit to your players
Whenever I have seen your team play the only time you open your big mouth is to criticise the referee there certaibly is little directive from the sidelines but then wot to you know any way

Blimey Spec, this really is role reversal with the stick you are getting (and not just on this site mate!)
Lets cut the guy some slack eh fella's - he is guilty of nothing more than getting the banter going and maintaining the high level of interest our fantastic league now has.
Couldn't believe it when I found out about Ashley Favell last night, but he is a law unto himself and it's not my problem - be interesting to see what Spec does with him?
It was nice to beat a strong Perkins side yesterday on a day when pretty football was always going to be difficult. Perkins coped well in the first half into the wind, playing decent if not threatening football before being undone by Glen's 2 goals in the last 5 minutes of the first half. We applied ourselves well into the wind, (I even managed to just about get the substitutions right!) and Darren Morrow did well in his first game and gives me another option up front.
One step at a time is a cliche, but a good one and victory for us and Hotpoint next week guarantees both of us a top 2 finish which should be celebrated in its own right - will be Hotpoints first I believe?
Christ Tommy you are even sticking up for me now !! Carrots haven't got a clue what you are on about and really not too bothered either, I admit I don't know what I am on about but have done well to have blagged it this far without being found out until I came across a more intelligent person like yourself, quality speller as well as a graduate to boot.
