The PFA Senior Cup final will be between Crowland Town and First Division Deeping Sports. The latter produced their fourth giant killing of the competition as they hindered Peterborough Sports 3-1 whilst the former overcame last season's beaten finalists, Moulton Harrox by winning the Lincolnshire Derby 2-0. Luke Weston and Darren Hempson were their scorers. The victory was particularily sweet for Hempson as his last appearance in the Premier local cup final saw him breaks his leg after scoring in Eye United's 2-1 victory over Hotpoint in 2003. The final will take place at Peterborough United's London Road ground on Monday 1st May 2006 kick off 7.45pm when a new name is guaranteed to be engraved on the trophy.Congratulations to both finalists. I for one am looking forward to the game that will help bring down the curtain on my time as Secretary of The PFA. Well done everybody.

We're looking forward to the final already Mark. Would be fantastic for us 'no hopers' to come away with silverware in our first year in the Prem. Well done to Deeping, no doubt that they'll be up for the final. Will be nice to see a lot of this site down there at the final in May if you can drag yourselves away from your PC's (although i have seen a decliine in this site since the removal of the sports talk link on peterboroughfootball.co.uk!!)

Hope you have a good game on that night Tommy. Might even come along and heckle you from the sidelines if i'm not busy.

Bit surprised that the game is being played on Bank Holiday Monday though but i suppose that will give the London Road staff time to prepare the ploughed field (sorry pitch) before their end of season game against Wycombe Wanderers.

Well done to Deeping Sports after they defeated Crowland Town 3-0 at London Road on Monday evening. Goals from David Weston, Paul Kirk and David Burton-Jones ensured victory for the first division outfit over their fifth Premier Division opponents in this years competition. Worthy winners. Thanks also to all Peterborough people, who supported the event as well as Derek & Margaret Poole and all other staff at Peterborough United for their help at the game.
