Whats wrong with hearing about lower level players and games in the paper?
Not all of us want to hear about the P'boro Sat Prem and the 'world class players' :lol: that grace their games each week.
Lads that get mentioned in the lower leagues are just as deserving and on the odd occassion just as good a player/team anyway!

Speaking as someone who is involved with a 'Lowly' Sunday side, we're all happy to see others in our 'Lowly' leagues get mentioned and would sooner read about lads and games at our level rather than the 'ego's that have landed' in and around the Sat Prem leagues :lol:

The players you speak about though are they not the people that should be playing at a higher level? i know plenty of players that play div 4/5 and could easily get on the prem. if they wanted but they dont.


although i played for the star for 5 years and some of the games were just stupid. i guess not much difference in either division at the moment.


Why dont you get your team in the prem then BOTN

hahahaha how funny is that, well we got there Harbs!!!
As for the Tues match report, me and Micky Belson hit James Westlake (ET reporter) up at the AGM and we stressed the value of the Tues report, he may well start it up again as long as he stops getting grief from pre-madonnas who dont like it when he says they were rubbish etc haha... bring it back for sure!
Hopefully the Prem will be a little more 'real' this season as we have 4 div 1 teams stepping up plus the likes of Powerleague, fratelli etc who are very down to earth teams..!!!

I will always keep a keen eye on the lower leagues as I fully understand that some cracking players and teams fill those leagues, Div 2 08/09 as example looks very good.. I'd hate to draw Cooks, Rileys, B Boar, Hampton etc in a cup as they'd hold their own against prem sides any day...

i used to love the tuesday match. my favourite write up was......."great goal sod all else":) summed me up to a T :lol:

it was funny & sorry for the pre madonnas but thats what made it good. im a good player & i do normaly have very good games, but when the tuesday match was there it didnt matter who you were or how well you played. that 1 mistake or comical swing & miss was the bit in the paper & it was funny! brought a good atmosphere to the changing room the next game.

it would be a nice change to hear a report or even a little bit of coverage of the lower league teams , after all they are the boys that are more intrested in there football week in week out , wind , rain and shine , a lot different to the boys sorting their hair do's out before they play and the glory boys getting tracksuits and getting trophy's playing a couple of games in a trophy winning side....

i havent been on much guys got a lot going on but when i do come on its good to read.

i can recall a few funny stories that the e.t printed and i always put the paper down after they reported on the stars games fuming or laughing my arse off.
what i loved the most was for example the e.t reported on a game the star in played and a few players got rinsed now out side the star no one gave a **** what it said or who these people were but what a great touch for these individuals!
especially the banter for weeks that followed.
