Last Saturday, at the Embankment, the Brit Chiefs won the RWT Champions League, in the most enjoyable, most open, and, most sporting of all 11 previous annual finals
Some seriously entertaining football was played , but the Referees let Sue Ryder Homes down by only cautioning 6 players in 25 matches! The £8 caution fines go straight to the Sue ryder outfit.
Let us see how Brit Chiefs do at the World Corporate Games
OOOHHH!!!! First post in the new section. Read the write up on the RWT site, glad it was a good event
I did not live up to my billing in the programme as 'player most likely to get a card' though. I don't think it helped that we celebrated the night before!
It was a good tournament and without the normal boiling over tempers.

Cheers Mr.T, it was definately a most enjoyable afternoon. A big thanks to Robert for organising the event and to yourself and Paul for the high standard of refereeing. All thats left to say is "Leeds look out, Brit Chefs are taking on the WORLD"

was really impressed with the whole day, but awards left a lot to be desired? well rob always likes to be different, look at his team of the weeks! i think being the devils advocate is robs main aim? well done the chefs and allstars. unlucky the A team, only a glaring mistake stopped you reaching the final. still, never mind still got an award!!!

I look forward to seeing Peterborough's finest at the World Corporate Games on Saturday in Leeds.
Best of luck, guys
I can't make it Nik . . . was supposed to be there, but the trappings of running a new team mean that I have to put another friendly against PSL at the top of my list of priorities! Good luck to Nene Specialists who will be there.

My name is Eggonface.
I got the 0905 train to Leeds yesterday, that arrived late, and a taxi to Roundhay School arriving there at 1133.
Went to the Control Tent and asked where Brit Chefs were playing.
Answer "you have just missed them; they may be in the changing room or left for a few beers"!!!!!
Was told they may just qualify from the Group. SO I look around all the site but give up at 1215 and settle down to watch the 1230 kick offs.
Standard of the Asda and KPM 6 a side teams pretty good.
I left there at 1600, got the bus, and train home to Peterborough.
What a waste of a day and expense!!!!!
In the history of these Games, be they World, European/UK/English no one goes home before 1500!!!!!!
They do in Leeds!!!!
Sorry I missed you, but as I was booted and suited, that is probably why you decided to leave early!!!!

the chefs kicked off on sat at the ungodly hour of 8 am!!! as most were up til at least 5am enjoying? it was a struggle. they got stronger and scrapped through the group stage and arrived sunday morning for a 9am ko, (2 hours sleep that night!) damn the casinos and nightlife, knockout now, so duly obliged and got knocked out 1-0!! cracking weekend and wouldnt have missed it, thought team underplayed but tried on tiny pitch more suited by powerleague. roll on next year!
