View Full Version : Had an idea....Predictions League
Which doesnt happen often.
Anyway, here goes.
If i pick 10 or so games from each weekends local football, you guys have a go at predicting the scores. 3 points for matching it exactly and 1 point for the right scoreline but not for the right team.
If the game doesnt go ahead for whatever reason that weekend, the score you predict will be used when the game does actually get played.
How does that sound? Anyone interested? Could even get money involved to make it more interesting perhaps. Let me know your thoughts and i can make it happen

think its a bloomon marvelous idea ross maybe get evryone to pay a £5 entry fee and split it that way! just an idea
good idea but i think as soon as you start bringing money into it there's probs all over the place and i'd assume it'd be a pain to administer.
keep it free it'll be good fun!
thats why i was asking for opinions. I can set up a subscription system on here that will keep track of the money side of things.
Anyway, any more thoughts?

JB YER JUST A TIGHT ARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*bkk*
must be the scot in me
Think its a great idea and would be very popular dont think the money should be involved as like jb said would be hard to keep track off and u always get 1 or 2 that wouldn live up to it!
ok then, lets keep it simple then. No money involved although i may give a little prize to the winner
great idea ross, but think it should be 3 points for matching exactly and 1 point for predicting the right result but wrong scoreline. if i predicted fletton would beat deeping 4 0 yet it was the other way round, i don't really think i'd deserve a point :)
forget that show me the money.
if you want to play and pay then get your cash out.
im in for the money......
whats a quid a week or £5 a month to make a good kitty builder.
do a league with everyon in and then just do a sub league for the cash entries and the non cash entries.
if you dont pay and throw a few i o u's then you forfeit your funds. doesnt get more simple than that?

That sounds better.
Think its best to leave money out of it, but i will provide a prize for the winner and possibly for 2nd place.
I will post up each weeks selected fixtures on the monday before, then you will have until friday night to make your predictions. Hows that sound?
Bbbbbooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooo.
£1.00 a week for each entry
you give 1/2 the weeks winnings to the highest point scorer the other 1/2 goes in the end of season pot.
that way there is incentive for people at the bottom of the league table to keep contributing to try and win the weekly prize.
you know it makes sense.

Get the money rolling you know it makes sense!
Right sod it. Those that wish to pay can, those that dont wish to pay dont have to.
If a non paying winner wins that week, then the pot will be added to the end of season pot. If that makes sense.
I will create a list of rules for this and get the ball rolling.
put your dummy back in now harbs!ha
Not the first time you have a bit of Scot in you is it JB? ;)
got what i wanted. great idea though Ross.
i just like to have an incentive to keep me interested......:-/
