As a result of the exponential growth of our club, Societa Sportiva PIO (SS PIO) is looking for that special someone who would be interested in managing its Peterborough & District Sunday PM Football League Team.

SS PIO is a quality football club – After only one season we have applied for The FA Charter Standard Award. The FA Charter Standard Scheme is best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League. As a benchmark for quality, it improves the playing experience for all.

SS PIO is a football club that expects success - In its first season the Sunday PM Men’s Team finished third in its division and reached the semi-final of the Northamptonshire FA Sunday Shield. Next year we aim to do better.

SS PIO is a football club that expects commitment from all its members – As Manager of the Sunday PM Men’s Team you would be expected to attend a midweek training session to coach and select a group ready for the team's game on Sunday.

The ideal candidate for the role will be male or female, aged 18 or over, who has some experience of the local football scene in a playing or coaching role and can exhibit some or all of the skills below that are required to make a successful manager:

· Long term strategy/philosophy that everyone buys into
· Understanding players at every level
· Communication skills
· Knowledge of the game at a technical/tactical level
· Innovative and inspirational
· Experience and expectancy
· Recognising and recruiting talent

You won’t be left alone to run your team! SS PIO Football Club is prepared to assist the incoming manager in several ways including the support of a secretary and treasurer to look after all necessary paperwork. The club will also assist the incoming manager in attaining FA Coaching Qualifications.
